I've. Been in spartenburg for a month working and have eaten at Basil 3 times and each time it was very good, quick,and not that expensive.
great service good atmosphere but yes its a little out dated so what! !
We always default back to basil's cause the food is always really good. If u really dont like the dated decor, order take out. ;-). We're having tenderloin steak sandwiches to go tonite. Yum!

Great food. The people that work at Basil's are real nice.
Our entrance greeting was without a smile or a hello ...just got two menu's and put on the table and then she pointed at the table...they were busy, it is a gem of a hole in the wall restaurant tho...we chose 12oz Ribeye , medium cooked, fried Okra and a salad 🥗...& beef tips rare, steak fries, pepper, onions mushrooms and gravy, I opted out for my side salad...lots to choose from Gourmet Burgers, Fish, Chicken Kabobs, Raw Oysters, Shrimp , Fried Pickles to name a few items off their large choice menu...Kim our Waitress was awesome ...and she made sure we were well taken care of...the place is cozy, has a bar for your favorite alcoholic beverage...The meal was one of The best we have had in a very long time... Basil B52 was named Best Restaurant in Spartanburg SC 2016 and 2019... so Ya'll come!!! Well worth the wait on their yumminess done right...The SmithClan
I had the Ribeye steak sandwich and the other was their Cheese Burger plate . Always a great meal when I eat at Basils. Have been a customer for many years now and Tina is a great server and Bartender...always great service with any waitress at Basils...
Very good food. Just a little pricey bit well worth it. Didn't know that they close the kitchen at 8:30 pm and we had a take out order to place after we finished our dinner. Thankfully they were able to make that order even though the kitchen was technically closed at that time. They were so great to have made our order then. Thank you so much to all the employees there for doing that, they were so sweet.
We went to Basil's on the Westside for our blind date 33 years ago! We have returned countless times over the years. They never disappoint! Always delicious, hot food an amazing cocktails. Highly recommend!! I get the peppercorn steak and Todd gets the tips. Done to perfection!
Got take out from Basil’s last night and it was absolutely perfect.. The peppercorn steak was so tender that it could b cut its a fork .. great meal
Basils has wonderful food and a very nice atmosphere. They have expanded to accommodate more patrons, their menu is easy to read with great options. The firecracker shrimp is excellent. The steaks are amazing. Sorry didn’t have a photo.
Tried Basils for the first time. My husband and I both had the prime rib, which was delicious. My son had the chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, which was also delicious. The French Onion Soup is very good as well! We will definitely go again.
