What a great atmosphere, and even better pizza. Listening to the staff interact with customers made it abundantly clear that everyone involved was passionate, not just about pizza, but about food in general.
This is by far some of the best pizza I have had in my life. Locally sourced ingredients and made fresh!
The spicy sopressata with red pepper flakes, shishito peppers and a drizzle of honey was life-changing! Love this place! Only wish they had a few more tables so you a better chance of being able to eat your slices of pizza heaven on-site!
Celebrated two sons' birthdays there reat meeting place for our family, plus we get to see my grandson who works in h deli, among othe things he does there. Pizza is delicious and service is great
FANTASTIC pizza!!! So glad we found this place! Can’t wait to go back! Mmmmm
I had the RPK Supreme. It was probably one of the BEST PIZZA EVER!!!! The flavors were fresh, flavorful, vibrant and aromatic. I didn't even know I liked kale but it works great on this pizza. Also, you can definitely tell that there is a lot of that special ingredient called "love" that goes into creating your works of art. I only really wished I had taken a picture of it before it was devoured.
The pizzas are amazing, very friendly employees....will definitely go back!
Stopped in today while passing through. Excellent pizza using locally sourced ingredients. Will definitely return!
Friendly staff and outstanding pies!
Rappahannock Pizza Kitchen is connected to an adorable, cozy grocery store that exudes a farmers market vibe. While we waited for an indoor table, we explored the grocery store. Once back inside the restaurant, we opted for a shared salad and pizza. The use of fresh, high-quality ingredients was evident. Though the salad was tasty, it would have been easier to eat if they had chopped the lettuce; it was a bit challenging and messy otherwise. The homemade dressing was undoubtedly a highlight. While the pizza was fresh, next time we'll opt for one with more meat and extra cheese!
This place surpassed my expectations. We stopped in Sperryville for lunch, as we were staying at an inn nearby. I swear this is one of the best pizzas I’ve had, and I’ve traveled to Italy and lived in NY. Every ingredient was SO fresh. The caprese and meatballs were excellent as well. Highly recommend making a stop here! The corner store attached to the pizza shop is also adorable and had delicious fresh breads. We picked up a rosemary loaf on our way out.
Called in a Supreme Pizza for pickup and was told about 15 minutes. I got there a few minutes early and what do you know it was ready to go. Man that was a good pizza. Place looked great inside. Service was friendly and pickup and was in and out quick.
Delicious! Absolutely perfect pizza after a hard hike in the Shenandoah park. I‘ll generally seek out DOP style pizza whenever I can and this is a good option. Will come again. Pear and prosciutto was especially good, if you’re looking for something slightly “adventurous” but the classics are all here. The chicken parm pizza is especially worthy of calling out. One of our pizza was a fraction overdone cooking wise but was still pretty tasty.
Great place to load up on carbs after a challenging hike! I had the hog and hive, and the toppings combo were delish. Crust was ok. The Brussels salad was excellent! My partner had the pizza with the herb pizza which I tried. A little bland. My friend said the green goddess dressing in her salad was too creamy and flavorless. I’d go again!
Excellent experience post old rag hike. Highly recommend as a reward post 6 hour hike. Great Supreme Pizza and traditional margarita. The pear based Pizza should really be called an arugula Pizza since that is the main ingredient. It's not baked in so it's easy to remove. Overall positive.
We came here during the fall foliage season, and this place was very packed with people waiting in line for a while. The seasonal Brussels sprouts appetizer was amazing. The pizza dough was also very good, but the toppings were a bit underwhelmed. The IPA craft beer was good as well. Overall, it’s a nice place to eat and chat, but customers need to be prepared to wait for a while for their pizzas. (Follow me on IG ➡️ miss_dawang)
Service:
We were quickly seated on a busy Sunday afternoon. Waitress checked in throughout our meal and was super friendly
Venue:
Beautiful and clean restaurant
Food:
Cheesy bread was good- comes out looking like a pizza of its own. The pizza we ordered was the “not a margherita” one. Though the flavors were great, I felt like it was too much tomato sauce and too little mozzarella and herbs.
Price:
Very fair given that it’s one of the few restaurants on the way in/out of Shenandoah national park
Verdict:
4.5 stars. Nice staff, clean restaurant. Pizza could be just a little bit better
We waited all week for Rappahannock Pizza Kitchen to open on Friday and it was worth the wait. The pizza had an excellent crust with a good sauce texture and taste. It wasn't too sweet and complimented the crust very well. One pizza will serve two people if they have a salad. The beer selection was very good and our server Jordan was excellent. We look forward to going here again when we are in Sperryville.
The pizza tastes great, it’s fresh and delicious. The only thing that brings it down is that the bottom of the pizza isn’t crisp and tends to get a bit soggy after a while. Now if it were Crispy this whole place would be 10/10
This place is a gem and the pizza is amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pizza is a little pricey in my opinion but it's so good you forget about the price. I wish they were open more I can't tell you how many times I have wanted to come to RPK for lunch and they are closed. But otherwise I love the place and highly recommend it.
We arrived on a Saturday for lunch right before it got super busy. We had the Butterbleu salad, Pear-adise Pizza, Not A Margherita pizza and a few drinks. All the food was fresh and delicious! My husband had a Francis cocktail, Spirit of Sperryville, so good we purchased the syrup in market next door to try and replicate at home. We enjoyed our experience so much my husband even purchased a t-shirt.
Real pizza, real ingredients, real people. I challenge you to find a better slice in central VA. Pies are made with local meats and vegetables in a wood fired oven and have a thin crust. The sausage one was great!
There's a great spot with picnic tables out back to enjoy. Pop into the market next store for a drink of your choice. Two people can enjoy one pizza but I'd recommend one per person so you can have some breakfast the next day.
I came here for dinner after a hike and to say the least their pizza enchanted my tastebuds. A thin crisp bottom followed by an airy dough that will make you forget your feet are touching the floor. The ingredients were all fresh and savoy!
AMAZING HOLE IN THE WALL. While passing through Sperryvile I stopped here for lunch. It's a really cute restaurant, the service was excellent, as was the food. I stuck with the soup of the day and a salad, but I saw the pizzas and the other dishes at other tables. I'm assuming they were at least as good tasting as mine. Highly recommend!
Absolutely amazing pizza! The ingredients were fresh and delicious. The crust was baked perfectly. Definitely recommend!
Great place to stop for an early dinner on the way home from hiking in Shenandoah National Park. We ordered takeout because I had my dog with me, and ate at the picnic tables behind the restaurant. It was shady, and most of the tables had umbrellas. Good pizza, and my friend said the calzone was really good.
We love this place! Drove out 2 hours to see the fall foliage and always stop here. Pizza is among the best we've ever had, Salad was fresh and well prepared. If you're in the area, don't miss RPK!
Fantastic experience and the best pizza in 4 counties. Fresh herbs, smoked meat, great beer selection and great staff!!! 10/10
