Coming from India these are the eateries that I miss the most .. no fuss places (mostly family owned), with simple yet delicious stuff, easy on the pockets .. serving nothing but fresh food.
Drawing an analogy, we have them in plenty back in India .. serving Indian food mostly .. called dhabas :) .. the seating, decor (even service to me) just doesn't matter, all what you long for is the food. And when you find it delicious, nothing comes to mind except the plans for your next potential visit .. he he :D
Was around the area yesterday and just like that decided to have a bite here ..
To be honest, as soon as I walked in got a bit alarmed with the pre prepared food on the counter, I mean this doesn't happen at an Asian place. The food is fresh out of the wok .. but when I saw the crowd (during lunch hours that too on a working day) eased up a bit, there is no way that they could go wrong and still have a full house. :)
So, I had this Lunch combo one - rice with chicken and veggies + the egg flower soup @$6.25 :)
The soup came in an instant, smallish bowl but on a cold and slippery day that it was yesterday .. a sprinkle of black pepper and it was needed.
The chicken and rice combo was good too .. actually I had this chicken with veggies and inspite of the simplicity of the dish the range of veggies did impress me .. there were bamboo shoots, mushrooms, baby corn .. even water chesnut in there .. chicken was definitely fresh.
All in all, the food was good and the occupied tables could be taken as an evidence. :D
Call it my love for such places or anything but I would love to be here often and try all those different dishes specially the spicy soup bun bo hue.
PS - on an extremely +ive note; they have this huge selection for vegetarians which is awesome and not that often found.
Has to be my fave asian. Everyone gets what they like. My kids get american chinese, I get my wonton soup, and hubby gets his vietnamese. This is a busy place that cooks it fresh, so have a nice family chat and get great food
Best Pho in Spokane. Take a seat please!

Never disappointed with their food or service! Employees are always very friendly and helpful; they remember your regular dish, and the wait for food is never long! Chicken pho soup here is to die for, and their coffee is amazing!
Another Asian Winner.... So fresh. So good. So much. Another nice Vietnamese family contributing to the best Asian food made in the County with other similar restaurants. Fantastic lunch specials, ranging from $5.95--7.95, all with complimentary egg flower soup that I thought was some of the best I've had in the area. Here's what impresses me most: house-made sides. Potstickers were each all juuuust a little bit different than the other, and the egg roll was not a perfect cylinder, which tells me that human hands were in the back making these up fresh. I like that they open at 10AM, because I'm an early eater. A lot of folks popping in to grab take-outs. Very clean and comfortable. I will never get tired of going to places like this...
They make some of the best boba shakes in Spokane! The taro is my absolute favorite. Vanilla and papaya are great favors too. Their tapioca pearls are the best in Spokane and their large drinks are bigger than boba bubble's larges.
Love the spring rolls, chicken pho, and the vermicelli. All are basically the same ingredients just different proportions. None are fried, and all have a wonderful fresh, light taste. Not heavy greasy food items at all (with exception of the egg roll that comes with the vermicelli).
Tried Vina last night on the recommendation of a friend. Have found our new favorite Chinese restaurant! Ordered the potstickers, roast duck, chow fun. Everything was perfect and delicious! Especially enjoyed the variety of condiments not usually found at a Chinese restaurant. Friendly staff, huge menu, great prices :-)
Love this place - great pho.
Food, service and parking. My Hot & Sour soup was great!!, but my boyfriend thought his beef and broccoli was just "run of the mill " ... as for the service, after we sat down it was probably 10 min before we even got water and then after we got our food we didn;t see anyone until we were ready to go :( And the parking is awful, because people are allowed to park behind the parked cars. If you have a bigger vehicle or they are not hugged up to the curve it make a 3 point turn a 52 point turn! :(
I crave the pepper salt squid!. I am not crazy about their BBQ pork or most of the Chinese options but i love the Garlic Shrimp, Broccoli Beef and esp the Pepper Salt Squid!
Best Pho in Spokane!!!. Their pho has saved me on many hungover afternoons.
Best Pho soup in town. Everything is fresh, full of flavor. Also fresh, incredible spring rolls. The gals who wait on you are all very friendly and helpful. My family's favorite restuarant. Kid friendly.
Vina has great pho every time with the best price in town! Also great service! We eat here 2x week or more!!
Pho rocks! They serve bubble tea as well but it's a blended slushe instead of black tea. Still really good.
