I ate there this past Saturday and it's by far one of the best burgers I've ever had! The bread was super fresh and tasted great! I highly recommend the Garlic Butter and Kale burger, and have even told some of my friends about it. Wonder experience and a great place to have a good meal.
I can’t add more stars!!! O M G!!! I have lived in area five years and always wanted to try this place. I got the Mac and cheese burger!! Bam!! Wow!!! Crazy good!! I ordered the pork belly and jalepeno sandwich!! I have found heaven!! Kudos!! New favorite spot !!!!!!
Ok I confess growing up outside NYC then traveling all over on business eating in 5 star restaurants I am one Picky Elitist Foodie! So I was very skeptical about going to a cafe in a gym but desparate for something quick in the area. Omg!!! The food was awesome! I eat very little meat but decided to try a Turkey Reuben burger that sounded horrible but was delicious! I ordered a red white and green pizza in case I hated the turkey and it is my new favorite ❣Hubby had a spicy burger he loved and my new favorite salad oh and the fries yes delish ❣Owners I am a Marketing Guru can we talk expansion and Franchise??!!!❣❣What a find❣
The food is nothing less than memorable. The Banh Mi is not like any other I have tasted - it has the perfect marriage of the classic Vietnamese ingredients and a beautifully cooked and rendered pork belly . I am a huge foodie and finding this place is like coming across a food hidden treasure. Today my boyfriend and I also enjoyed the special of the Tex Mex burger and the Temporarily No Name burger. These are the kind Burgers to experience when you wish to expand your palette. I want to keep this place secret so it does not become saturated, but this food, with these people, and their passion...they deserve every chance of thriving and flourishing in the culinary world.
Best Burgers, hands down in Houston!! Chef Charlie mixes it up and offers gourmet options including various blends of meats. The most traditional offering is the farmhouse burger which still mixes in new ideas. Gourmet teas and variety of fries to choose from just add to his unique mix. Can't wait until he can get his own space which will broaden his sit down capacity......
The farmhouse burger is by far the best burger I've ever had. So much flavor should be illegal. I will definitely be stopping by again in the near future.

Best burger that has ever gone in my mouth-hole. I'm not saying I would drown a kitten or roundhouse an old lady for a Peppercorn Burger...but you get the idea. Garlic butter fries were so legit, I have not washed it from my beard. Super nice owner and staff.
I went to 5 Ate Cafe for lunch today and had the Shar-Warma Burger and it was fantastic, it was so good I actually had a better day because of it. I was so impressed with the great and fresh quality of the food that I brought my family back for dinner because I couldn't wait to try more. The Stone-Oven Artisan Pizza are very good also. Highly recommended this hidden gem. Charlie the Chef/Owner staff were very friendly and helpful.

Ate there today and we tried the Italian pizza, garlic kale burger, green chili burger, meatloaf burger, and garlic fries. Everything is delicious! Flavors are spot on. The pizza dough is thin and cooked perfectly. Definitely will return!

We have been eating at 5ate basically since it opened. It is well deserving of the awards they have gotten. A can't miss is the butter garlic kale burger, it has been consistently awesome. We also at the bacon date goat burger today and it was a nice combination as well. The buns are English muffin like but a little softer. The fries are larger so they are not very crispy but are tasty. Ohh and it's in a climbing gym!
Great burger presentation, a place with great vibe. In my opinion the burger lacked a bit more flavor and the fries were not truly garlic fries and they were a bit oily. For a $15 burger, my expectations were higher. Thanks 5.ATE Cafe, you are a nice little local spot. I’ll have to come back to try the Farmhouse Burger, looks like it’s a crowed favorite.
This place is a hidden treasure. Great burgers...take out or sit in and rock climb after. The sitting area is small but you have a great view of the rock climbing area. I think there are more seats upstairs. Great family environment.
AMAZING! We stopped in randomly while heading out of Houston and it was AMAZING. Paul welcomed us and have us great recommendations on the best burgers to get! I got the Farmhouse and really enjoyed it.

It was my first time here. The girl at the counter was very nice. No long wait and my burger was really good. The atmosphere is very chill.
Nice small cafe with friendly staff and going food. There aren't a lot of tables so it might be hard to get a seat if they are busy.
Price is reasonable, I had the swarms burger, which is burger with feta, banana peppy and tzaki sauce.
We really liked this place. Food was very fresh and authentic, especially for a cafe inside a climbing gym! We’re already planning to come back to climb and dine.
Holy moly !!! This is awesome food.. real meat real everything fresh ingredients.. Don't waste your money at any fast food place....Come here first .. my new favorite joint.. It cost more but you get more..My son loves to climb here..
A meal that was done well. My expectations were not very hi but I wanted to have some local food. I was very impressed. Things to do for the entire family….oh and I got my latte that was made with quality and caring. I would recommend as a stop through out the day for the family while dad is at work and outings is on the agenda.
Ok, I decided to eat somewhere I haven’t tried in my area so I Googled- food near me and I saw this place. I always pass by but never came in because I don’t do heights. OMG!!!! The Farmhouse burger is A-Mazing!!! I will be back and I recommend this place for a good nosh and your kids may love climbing also!!! I forgot to take a before photo but you get the idea from the after shot. All Gone!!!

This is my second time here. The food is always great! If you want a top notch burger this is the place to go! It’s a little pricey, but worth every bite.

The food is a delicacy here. Pizza and burgers are the best you can get for miles. Plenty of parking. Coffee and caffeine to help you tackle your rock climb like a pro. Highly recommend this place.
Tonight, I finally tried a local favorite hamburger. I built my own with an English muffin bun, a fried egg, bacon, and fresh mozzarella. The only thing I missed was the avocado butter. It was really quite good! I tasted the pizza my mom got and that was high quality has well. I’ll come back again.

The burger was excellent, exactly like I ordered it and it was big, juicy, fresh and had a delicious flavor. I've never had a burger on an English muffin (homemade) before but it didn't disappoint. The creamy sauce on the burger is just right and the fries were perfectly cooked. The cookies are homemade, which I didn't expect. Very friendly atmosphere.
This was a unique experience, great burgers with inhouse made bread. OMG, so good!! This place also has a rock climbing wall, neat!!
Perfect burger not bad at all. This place can fill up quick. So I usually get it to go. it fills up with sweaty climbers because it sits inside of a indoor climbing facility . Food is excellent. Priced fairly and by far the best in the area. This place is on my my top 15 best burger spots and I'm very very picky.
If you’ve slept on Ate Cafe, it’s time to wake up! They have some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. My favorite being the fresh jalapeño and ground beef with extra cheese. They have personal size, all the way to large. I’ve tried their burgers and tenders with fries (equally delicious). Try their homemade jalapeño ranch to dip on the side. Yum! Carry out or make a day/night of it with family— add rock climbing to your experience. Either way, you’ll thank me later! Love this local joint!
