I moved from Hawaii a year and a half ago and have been craving poke. Heard about this place from a friend who works there and decided to give it try. I had the Hawaiian poke bowl and it was actually really good! Definitely will be back again to get my poke fix and to try out some other menu items!
I loved this place! Me and my best friend try to meet once a week to have a drink and catch up, and Howie's is right in between us. We like to eat and drink so between the two of us we sampled a variety of the menu. I loved everything I ordered, and the atmosphere is great. Intimate, and you can actually hear each other! This place is just too cute, and I could tell the owner was very passionate and knowledgable about all things Tiki. This is the real deal.
My wife and I made this our anniversary stop. The bar looks great, good music and great food. Howie's is her new favorite burger and I'll be back for the Poke. Fantastic drink selection and friendly staff. Howie's Tiki was a real treat.
Nice setup with a bar, a few tables, and, booths as well so you can get together with a group of several friends and private enough if you wanted to go with just one other person. There are a ton of options to choose from on the menu and the drinks themselves are good. There seemed to be a decent amount of food options to choose from as well. Went there with a few buddies and our server was really nice as well as the rest of the staff. I'd definitely go back.
This place is fantastic!! I recommend the Mahalo bird to eat. It was so tasty! To drink, I tried the Blue Hawaii and it was fantastic. I also tried the banana daiquiri, which was strong and delicious! We will definitely be back!
Awesome atmosphere! Happy hour is till 7 p.m. food is amazing!!! We got a whole bunch of things and just sampled off of everyone's plate! The burgers are cooked to order...you say medium you get it that way! Can't say enough wonderful things about this place! Chill fun hangout! Check it out for sure!!!!�
We finally got to experience this hidden gem of the Subaru’s. The cocktails made my taste buds sing! The presentation and ambiance were so nostalgic. Howie and the bartenders were extremely helpful and sweet as this was our first tiki bar ever. I can’t wait to check out the HH and food!
This is my boyfriend's and my favorite bar to hang out at on weekends. Everything is perfect! The atmosphere, music, drinks and food leave nothing to be desired. The owner Mark makes it special every time as well!
Spent the weekend in Houston and our first stop was Howie's. We had a great time meeting Mark. Great atmosphere, great cocktails and had a blast talking tiki and rum. The Volcano mug is a great addition to my collection. Definitely will be returning again.
Bartenders and staff were very nice. Drinks were excellent. I came during their tiki mug release party, which got a bit hectic during my visit, but the staff remained excellent. We even arrived to the event an hour early and they happily chatted with us as we waited for the kitchen to be ready.

Great drinks, huge selection. The place itself is very clean and well done. This place is more of a bar than an eating establishment. I had the pork sandwich and it was very good as well as the fries.
Not sure about the food, but the drinks are amazing. I don’t mind paying for quality. If you’re a first timer, don’t be alarmed at a $13+ drink. They’re made the right way, not some sugary mix with some cheap spirits. These drinks are made with high quality spirits and ingredients!! Try it.
Great atmosphere, good food and drinks...best Jerk Chicken Wings I've ever had!!! Great place to spend time with friends.
The food was really good and unique! It's a small venue so it was quiet with lovely music. All in all a delightful place for a good meal!!
Fun Tiki Bar with lots of great drinks. Most are on the fruity, tangy side rather than sweet. And they offer good bar bites food too.
I'm really not one to get too excited to go out in the burbs, but this is an awesome hidden gem that spring has!

I ordered the Coconaut which was so good and unique tasting. My friends got the Zombie and Pain Killer which they really liked it!
Tasty drinks, laid back atmosphere, friendly staff. Drinks can be a little pricey but that's normal for tiki drinks. The owner was working the bar and helped pick out drinks all night. I'll be back again.

My husband and I love this place because 1) its down the street from us lol 2) atmosphere is always great here. Fun staff and great crowd. 3) Food and drinks are delicious. We come here to relax and have a good time and we always do. No rush in getting food or drinks out to us. Its always great striking conversations with bartenders, Howie or other people there wanting to enjoy a few drinks. :)
Pu-Pu platter is excellent! Barstaff is the most helpful and awesome people I've encountered in a long time. Music makes you feel like you are on a island chilling. Drinks are very affordable. The ambiance is just as it should be. We will be making this place our new go to place.
Awesome drinks and food! Had the pork dumplings and shrimp quesadillas. Can't wait to come back and try more things from the menu! Seriously, we were surprised how good the food was. It is delicious and worth a visit!
We went for lunch and had the Hawaiian Poke bowl, and Angus Burger. Both were unbelievably fresh, seasoned perfectly and delicious. The drinks were strong and the staff were very friendly. It was so good we'll be back!
Pleasantly surprised way out on the North side. Small and intimate with nice dim ambience. Music was spot on and drink selection is deep. If you don't like Rum, they have a good selection of beers and other spirits. My recommendation is the Thunderstruck. Splurge and get the mug to take home!

This is an awesome tiki bar with great drinks. The drinks are expertly crafted and well balanced. Mark at the bar really understands how flavors work together and makes some wicked drinks. He really understands tiki culture and you can that is shown in the drinks that he pours. He makes all of the syrups in-house so you're not getting store bought simple syrup in the cocktails and you can really taste the difference. Almost forgot to mention the beer selection. They have almost all of the Kona and Maui brews. Which is a lot to choose from! Overall this is one of my favorite bars and a great place to hang out.
No lie, the Lemmy may be the best burger I have ever had! The fact that it shares a name with the late, great, Lemmy Kilmister makes it that much more awesome. As if this weren't enough, their expansive drink menu will always offer me something new to try on coming visits. Really looking forward to making this a regular spot.
At the risk of blowing up my new spot, I say the following: The best Moscow Mule! Fresh drinks, the bar tenders show great attention to detail. Haven't eaten anything other than the sweet potatoes fries but they were incredibly delicious. The guy next to me had onion rings that let off an intoxicating smell. I will go back again!
I feel like I posted a review before but regardless this place is awesome. Howie and the staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is much better than you would expect from a local bar, especially in Spring. You won't be asphyxiated by chain smokers as it is no smoking, one of my favorite features.
Wonderful! Jasmine is so sweet and helpful. Amanda is the best bartender. The food especially the Hawaiin poke bowl was delicious. The restaurant is a refreshing change.
Drinks to be appreciated by alcohol connoisseurs. Dark beachy decor. Delicious food.
