I love this place, and the owner is super cool. Last time we went in I noticed that he had an old jukebox that plays small records. I asked him if it worked, he handed me a couple of quarters and told me to play a couple of songs. Wow, I got a song for a quarter! Next time instead of doing drive thru, park and take a trip inside.

Great little local gem. Owner is very friendly and will give you the history of the place in a bite sized way. Lovely house made root beer in chilled mugs and a great little loose meat sandwich!

Best homemade Rootbeer in Springfield. Lovely owners. This is a must stop if you are in town and if you live here you likely already know and love this spot.

Been 20 years since my last. Saw it, flipped around just to come back and enjoy! 3rd generation family to enjoy over last 50+ years. Classic to indulge in

I'd never been there before today but this really set the bar. I think it has to be my all time favorite restaurant. *chefs kiss* literal perfection. 😙

Down the street from me, the owner told me it is a historical landmark (first drive-thru in the US!). I got the special (2 sandwiches, fries, and a drink), sandwiches were smaller then I expected. The Maid-Rite sandwiches were tasty and fresh, along with fries being crispy. For the price I paid in terms of quantity, compared to what I could get for the price (~$8) elsewhere, unfortunately I have to knock off a star (a half star would be more appropriate in my opinion). Owner is SUPER SUPER nice, very friendly and quick staff and service. Asked if I tried the root beer, I said no, and then gave me a free sample of their root beer. As other have stated, it was REALLY good. I may go back and try the float sometime, check this place out!

I moved back to Springfield after 22 years and couldn't wait to try a maidrite. Still the same good flavor but the buns aren't the soft steamed buns I remember. The portion of meat on the bun has shrunken, making more bun in your mouth than burger. Very nice owner and staff.
