A restaurant in a building the shape of a barn? Consider my interests piqued!
Stopped at the Hen House for a few reasons actually. One, I was planning on exploring Springfield. Two, I wanted breakfast. Three, it is in the shape of a big red barn! Three very delicious reasons, as it turns out. I ordered the French Toast with some coffee. The french toast was delivered fairly quick and it was delicious. The coffee, while cheap, wasn’t all that great.
If you see the big red bard, stop in for some delicious food! They also have locations in Arcola, Mahomet and Pontoon Beach!
Very nice place with super friendly staff, great breakfast and lunch menu. Absolutely 5 star place, thank you!
Cute place, good service, food was good. We had the Country Girl breakfast and the Country Boy breakfast. Sausage was a little overdone, bacon and biscuits and gravy were cold, but the food was good.
All I can say is I was impressed with this place!! The staff is really doing a wonderful job here from the cooks to our sweetheart of an waitress she's a doll🥰 Our waitress made us feel right at home and took very good care of us!! The chicken potatoes and carrots were oh so good!! You get four pieces but it's all you can eat chicken (on Saturdays) 4 pieces is plenty trust me!! Coffee was endless you'll leave here feeling blessed to have a home cooked meal!!
Nice hidden gem, it's located just slightly off interstate I55 and the Toronto Road exit. It's almost out of view if you aren't looking for it. This has been a Springfield staple for years. Food is very good and very close to a good home cooked meal. Staff are friendly and the coffee doesn't stop flowing. Someone is always coming by to ensure you have a full cup. It's worth the stop to grab a bite.
1th time for me their I was staying at motel 6 . When to breakfast to pick up it was good I didn't see the what els they serve usually im don't a morning guy. I was almost still sleepy 😴 but I was hungry 😩 I'll say give them a visit I had eggs and breakfast stack 😋 was testy
