Sharon and I treated ourselves to a nice meal out tonight. Emma's at the Holiday Inn in Statesboro has been in place for 8 years but we've never tried it out. It's a bit pricier than our usual fare, but the food was worth every dollar. We both had lightly crusted pan seared salmon, potato croquettes, and seasoned broccoli with a mushroom cream sauce. It is rare that we've had a meal that we could both say that everything on our plate was perfect, but it was. The portions were very satisfying but left us room for some dessert, so I got grill fried pound cake with caramel sauce, ginger apples, whipped cream and blackberries and a generous side of vanilla bean ice cream. Sharon had the pastry chef's special which was a trio of cheesecakes - mocha, salted caramel/coconut, and chocolate truffle. Of course we sampled each other's, and I gotta say the cheesecakes were the best I've ever had - bar none. If you haven't been to Emma's, or it's been awhile, and you don't mind spending a couple extra dollars. go to to Emma's The chefs obviously take pride in their work and the service was also excellent. 4 thumbs up from us!

Emma's is typically my first choice for lunch in Statesboro. I'm not big on eating at buffets, but Emma's lunch buffet options are always delicious. In addition, the buffet items always taste like they are made in small batches. We just held an end of year banquet there and the food was perfect. Eat at Emma's!

I wake up Sunday morning with food on my mind. My roommate says: "I heard Emma's tastes so divine!" I say: "Let's try it! It's all you can eat! Plus at $12.50 it just can't be beat! So we go down the road to the Holiday Inn. We walk through the door, me and my friend. We have a wonderful server, fast and attentive And the food we ate just tasted like heaven. I cannot speak for the rest of the week, But that Sunday buffet is so wonderfully sweet. So if you are hungry and just want the best, Go eat Emma's in the lounge of Holiday Inn Express.

Great food. I was really surprised. We were just looking for something different one night than the normal Boro food and this was great. Will be back.

Though I ordered out, the service was great and the meal was delicious. I was truly impressed by the way my salmon was grilled. The crispy rub on the outside was fantastic.

WOW....this place is wonderful. Do not miss out on a great dining experience. I have eaten all over the World and the food at Emma's is as good as any restaurant that I have ever eaten in. The fried oysters are by far the best that I have ever eaten. In addition, the service is great...and do not forget to mention their website. The website says that if you call for a reservation, and mention the "free appetizer" then you get the spring roll appetizer for free. I have never called for the reservation, but simply showed the hostess the webpage on my iPhone. They honor that and you get a very good spring roll appetizer for free.

The food has been very good every time that I have been there. I went once for Prime Rib, but for some reason they were not serving it that Friday. The atmosphere is nice. It is not loud and does not have TVs. I would not take my kids there.
