I was on a road trip and saw Baja Tacos, it looked like a local restaurant so I decided to try it. The taco was amazing, also I ordered the combination burrito (beef and bean). The beans overpowered the beef, it tasted okay if you enjoy bean burritos. Overall, this was good and affordable food.
Had my first meal at this establishment almost 40 years ago. At the time my good friend Jack was working there slinging tacos. Not much has changed in all this time, except Jack now owns the place. Best of all the foods still rocks as much now as it did then.
Local, long-time fast-food Mexican favorite and culinary landmark. This homegrown fast food establishment is generally near and dear to most locals. Don’t let the limited seating fool you. It’s the place to be. Locals that have moved away frequent the place on their visits home and the usual hometown crowd is always there. I’ve eaten at this place for 30 years. The frito pies (double it as a monster pie) are the specialty, but the softshell tacos, chimicangas and open faced chili burgers are among other faves of mine. I usually get tomatoes (have to ask for them) and extra onions on my frito pies and chili burger and extra hot hot sauce on the side.
I moved back here to Colorado 5 years ago. When left, Baja Tacos was great then. I was gone 15 years. When I went to eat there again, is was still the greatest food I'd eat in along time. People that work there are fast, friendly, an a very awesome attitude. Ever want a quick meal, head on down to Baja Tacos. You'll be glad ya did.
A must go for Tex Mex. Everytime I'm in Sterling I swing by for a enchilada tray or lunch. It's one of those places if you've llived in Sterling for a length of time you probably love it.
Best tacos in town! Frito pie is my favorite. Give them a try when you're in town
If you want industrialized assembly line food you can find that almost anywhere...
