Fantastic place. Terrific flavorful food and a fun, friendly staff. Not too casual, not too snooty. Good cocktails! I highly recommend this delight of a Thai restaurant.

Picked up some Thai Basil for take out tonight and wow, what a gem! Wife and I enjoyed the lemongrass soup and cream cheese wontons as an appetizer. Cream cheese had a hint of sweet spice; a mild and enjoyable surprise. Also enjoyed Penang chicken curry & jasmine rice; curry was complex and moderately spicy. Kids (6 and 4) enjoyed basil friend rice with chicken and ate their dinners! Definitely will revisit this place again.

This was our first time at Thai Basil. We had cream cheese wontons & egg rolls. They were the best we've ever had. The egg rolls had such a delicate light crunch to them. Both each had a sauce with them. They were soooo good. All our entrees were so flavorful. Our orders came quick & their prices were reasonable. We'll be back soon & looking forward to it. Can't wait to try something else on the menu next time. Don't pass this place by on your way to Stillwater. It's worth the stop!

I go once a week for lunch and today I had the most amazing lunch (from the dinner menu) that the waitress Kalaya picked for me called Pad Ped Talay. But I have had everything on the lunch menu and everything is SO fabulous!

Excellent, fresh food with awesome ingredients. Every server I've had was friendly and appreciative of my business. They don't have two hundred entrees which is their strong point. What they do is done to perfection.

Have had several of their dishes and have enjoyed each one immensely! Curries, peanut sauces, noodles, rice, many veggies and choice of Keats and sea food, cannot order wrong. A lovely atmosphere inside as well, and tasty martinis.

OK found a Thai place where the food is fresh and there are many spicy choices. Keep going to those so called Vietnamese chinese restaurants or try a real authentic Thai. restaurant.

First time here and we loved it- the freshest and best Thai in the Twin Cities area. Even the wonton soup was excellent! I had the cashew pad chicken- medium spicy. SO good!! Seriously flavorful- you won't be disappointed. I will be back!!

I drove 30 minutes to this restaurant just for their wontons and Grilled Chicken (under the Thai Basil Specialties list) dishes. They are DELICIOUS. I would move to Stillwater just to be close to Thai Basil. I've been craving the Grilled Chicken dish ever since I first had it when I visited Stillwater 2 years ago. Also tried the Lychee Mimosa here and that was pretty good too. Love this place.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner with family the other evening. Place was busy with customers and online/take out orders so I know our patience was appreciated by our server. The little wait Just made for more time with family. We ordered two different pad Thai dishes and two different Thai fried rice dishes along with pork egg rolls. We were not disappointed with any of the dishes. The spice/heat was perfect for all of us. The red curry in one of the Thai rice dishes was super flavorful. Overall, great experience and can't wait to visit again.

Thai Basil had super great food, but a very long wait if you don’t time it right. Between the time I ordered online and walked out the door, it took an hour. I was told it would take 20 minutes, but If there had been more transparency with this I wouldn’t be upset. Food was very tasty and friendly staff, just not as organized as they could have been.

I would agree with the other reviews that the wait time for takeout is outrageous at times. I wish they’d just stop taking to-go orders if they are busy and backed up—I’d rather be denied than wait hours, It would be less frustrating and I’d just come up with another plan. The food is good though! Id say it’s a different flair than traditional Thai food that I’ve had. Id probably recommend just going in!
