The owner got us in last minute for a reservation on a Saturday night in July. The food was incredible. My husband had the sea bass which was a special. It was the best Seabass we have ever had. I had the beef tips, which were so tender and great with the mashed potatoes. My daughter loved them so much that she took my meal. The owner then surprised her with his homemade ice cream cake dessert which was incredible. He came out and talked to us and asked how dinner was, very personable. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Fantastic & elegant. First class all the way. The menu and old family recipes are to die for. Don’t miss out on Moms pound cake. We loved the food & experience so much we made two more reservations. Thanks Dino and staff. Can’t wait to try breakfast!
Delicious and delightful seafood place that's BYOB/W. We had 6 dinner entrees (sadly, not all of them pictured before eaten) and a kids meal mac & cheese and every single one was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The seafood, pasta, fish, veggies and rice were all cooked to pleasing textures and the flavors were tasty and very well balanced. This was everyone's favorite meal of our whole vacation. The chef was lovely enough to include two thick slices of his mom's pound cake to go, and we legit fought over them when we got back. They were moist, light, and not too sweet. We'll def go back next time we're in town.
We just spent the week in Avalon and had such an amazing experience we ended up going to Borgi’s twice. The food was fresh and full of flavor. The menu has a great combination of different dishes and everything was terrific. The staff was so friendly and added to the evening. Dino the owner loves what he does and it is evident with his food. He was so cool and when he found out we were coming back a few days later he made a special dessert for my son. Looking forward to returning next season.
Absolutely wonderful! We had perfectly broiled bacon wrapped scallops and 3 giant tender meatballs with delicious red sauce for starters. After a few bites of our entrees, served piping hot, we had to wrap it up. The chicken parm was tender and moist and full of flavor as well as steak tidbits marinated and oh so tender served atop a heaping serving of cheddar mashed....no room for dessert but we'll definitely eat here again and will recommend to anyone visiting this area. Almost forgot...the Chef/Owner Dino , such a pleasure to meet!
Great hidden gem in Avalon! We ate on the outside deck as we watched the sunset over the bay. The food was fresh and authentic. Dino, the chef was definitely passionate about his mother's recipes! Must haves include the meatball appetizer which the 4 of us shared and the mama's pound cake with ice cream for dessert. We all loved our amply sized entrees (see pics) including pork chop, veggie penne, chicken parm and the fra diavlo seafood special over thin spaghetti. Will be back!
We placed a large take out order for my mom’s 80th birthday celebration. Dino never disappoints. Service is always terrific as is the food. Everything was delicious and the pound cake is worth every calorie! Thank you for accommodating our large take out order on a busy night!
This place is no joke, the best dinner on the Jersey shore. My wife had Chilean sea bass, shrimp, artichokes and spinach, all seared and served in a tasty white sauce. I had a grilled seafood platter with salmon, shrimp, scallops, asparagus on a bed of arugula. It was incredible. We're considering going again tomorrow. We started with warm homemade bread freshly baked, and pesto that was just out of this world. And finished with pound cake, ice cream and chocolate sauce, and whipped cream that was large enough for us to split. It was all 5 star served in a comfortable porch seating. Service was good, food came comfortably quick. I would highly recommend this place.
Everything was delicious! The owner/chef made our meal memorable. The mozzarella sticks were huge. My 5 year old daughter ate them all. We shared meatballs and I had the Salmon. This place is BYOB. There is outside seating with a gas fire pit. We will be back for sure.
We walked by Borghi's day after day, year after year, and never went in to eat. Thanks to new friends we met in Florida this winter, we finally gave it a try. It's a small place. We had a reservation. Got seated right away. The owner/chef came and greeted us. A smaller menu with a few specials. Everything we ordered was excellent! The owner stopped at our table a couple of times to make sure of it. It's definitely one of those places that you wish it was bigger to accommodate more people and make it easier to get in, but bigger isn't always better. It works. Leave it alone. We will try to go back, hopefully more than once, this summer and especially in the fall when things slow down on the island. They are open until New Years. Definitely give it a try. Food was fabulous. Service was great. Table location - not so much. Had 6 at a table. One on each end and four on one side. Three-sided seating. Made it hard to have a conversation. Next time a different table.

If you're from the Bucks County area and have been through Chalfont on 202, you've probably noticed Borghi's restaurant. This is a wonderful extension of your Borghi's experience at the shore. Delicious pasta and seafood, be sure to check their menu online before going. Very cute and delicious place for dinner at a wonderful location
The food here is absolutely amazing - easily the best italian food in the area. To make it even better, the people are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Add the two together, and it's no competition. Cannot recommend Borghi's enough!
