Clearly a labor of love. This place is small, maybe 14 seats, but the food coming out of that kitchen is excellent. The waiter was friendly and handled the seated orders with the take out efficiently. My sister and I got an order of pork bao, and pork soup dumplings to share. Both were great and the soup dumplings had an excellent and rich broth. I moved on to the Yi Bin noodles and they were covered in the delicious and floral peppercorns with excellent noodles. My sister got a beef noodle soup that was perfectly flavored. We had to get the pork bao for dessert and left very satisfied.

The gentleman who owns this place is super nice and knowledgeable. I’ve always known Taos to be very authentic but today was exceptional. We ordered Dan Dan noodles, and cold sesame noodles which were not on the menu but he did a spin of it with tahini and cucumber that was super delicious and refreshing. The Dan Dan was garlicky and everything I hoped for. My boyfriend is obsessed with their beef pies. The best part? You can tell the noodles are hand pulled and cut. For $24 it felt like a delicacy. Pretty good baos, buns, dumplings and noodles. Had Chicken Soup Dumplings, Cold Noodles w/ Sesame Sauce, Garlic Chicken Bao and Beef Bao. Beef Bao was the highlight.

Love the food here. Very authentic and delicious. They do have 3-4 tables there so if you come at a not-so-busy time, there should be seating.

We had Peking Roasted Duck, Sautéed Hot & spicy Beef with Tofu, Stewed Chicken and Mushroom. All taste good and authentic. The spare rib tips in black beans is okay.

I’ve been here a few times now and am delighted to say it has been great food and good service that is extremely consistent! Food is reasonably priced and they have a very nice menu for those who like Asian food. Caters to creatures of habits as well as those who want to try out new things. Highly recommend all their baos!

The soup dumplings I got were delicious. They also have a very good milk tea too! There is a lot of options on the menu to find something for dinner or a snack!

Mini Buns are to die for, sweet and soft and fresh. Not a lot of dessert options and I haven't had the food but if you're in the mood for a good egg custard mini bun, they're 3 for $3 !!

Came here on a really cold day and got some really hot soup. Very good sliced beef spicy sour soup with clear noodles. The restaurant is pretty small and a little crowded. It's also the kind of place that you need to know about the food before you go or you'll be lost. If you know authentic dimsum and crave it, this is a good find for being way out in Suffolk.

We went for a small snack and enjoyed the beef bun and the red bean bun. Both were very tasty. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic take-out food. Pictured is the mapo tofu rice box, it comes with a fried egg, pickled radish and cabbage.

Drove 30 mins from Northport to check this place out and it was definitely worth it! Small intimate setting with great soup dumplings and pork buns!

It was my first time coming in the restaurant, Tony the owner was busy taking orders. But i said, i want green tea, i thought he wasn't listening but my green tea came right away away. I ordered dim sun, i was taught how to proerly eat it… as i suck the juice from the dim sum, my mouth was met with delusions juice, and i dip it to the sauce, it was so mouth watering pork dim sum. I sample picked cucumber salad, it’s delicious, and sample of organ meat , it goes great with the liquor, if your Filipinos or Americans, i give this place 2 thumps up!👍👍 I ate and drink the chinese liquor named Niu Lan Shan, it taste stronger than saki. I got drunk in one shot. Well, i have low tolerance of alcohol, but for people who wants to have a cozy and delicious food, this is the place. Friendly and cozy small restaurant.

Tried Tao’s for the first time today on the recommendation of a friend and it did not disappoint! A friend and I were really in the mood for Authentic dumplings so we ordered the chicken dumplings, Shrimp shumai, and Crystal Shrimp dumplings. All three were really good and you can tell they are all homemade. The dumpling sauce was perfect and the chili oil was some of the best chili oil I've ever had. I can’t wait to go back soon and try the roasted Duck, it looks amazing on the menu! I definitely recommend this place for authentic well seasoned Dumplings.

I’ve had some good dumplings at different spots in Manhattan. This place is halfway to Montauk. I did not expect the quality Dim Sum that we had. The soup dumplings (Longbao) were delicious. The chicken dumplings were astounding, super flavorful. We also tried the crystal shrimp dumplings. Everything was delicious, the gentleman was very helpful. I wish there was more space to sit and dine in, only a few tables and everything is close together. But take it to go and hit up a nearby park, or just eat in your car. I’m going to slowly try everything. What a great lunch

Bubble tea is just okay but noodles and buns are super delicious. Must be the best in Long Island. Have been here for several times and the food never disappoints me. I wish they can have a bigger store since the current one is too small.
