Reviews Hong Kong Buffet

Despite being inside of a strip mall the restaurant is quite large and well kept inside. The buffet has a wide array of options and everything seemed fresh and hot. We ate there at approximately 7:00pm on a Saturday night and it was moderately busy. They had individual serving cups for the ice cream which is a great idea, it’s much better than the “scoop yourself” ice cream bars that other buffets usually have. My only critique would be that the waitresses really shouldn’t have AirPods in while they are serving. It’s pretty unprofessional especially since there is no music in the restaurant to listen to. They should also smile once in a while, it would enhance the overall experience. Other than that everything was good we were happy with the quality of the food and the seasoning was good and not over salty. I would recommend!

My husband and I love Chinese food! We are visiting the beautiful area of Door County and found Hong Kong Buffet in Sturgeon Bay. The food was hot, fresh ,plentiful and very tasty. Staff was quick to pick up the used dishes. Clean and cozy surroundings. Rice pudding on the buffet! We will definitely be back to eat here. Unfortunately, no senior discount but for the price of $9.99 for lunch, you can't beat it! Mrs. Thomas Virant

Food was good. Fries were cold and shrimps too but they were okay! We got drinks but never came back to ask for refills. Prices are reasonable. Will go back in another time.

The food was hot and delicious. They may not have as large a selection as some Chinese buffets, but they make up for it with fresh food, replaced and updated often. The spring rolls and egg rolls were crispy and so hot! Everything was just delicious and I was pleasantly surprised. Also, SOOO INEXPENSIVE! the low prices blew me away! If you're searching for cheap buffet near me, make sure to try Hong Kong Buffett!

This is my husband's favorite place to eat in Sturgeon Bay. It's family owned and we've gone there so often that they recognize us when we come in. There are quite a few options but not very many of them are vegetarian or vegan.

Great variety of delicious Chinese food. The pepper chicken and fried dumplings were my favorite. Wish I had a restaurant like this one in my hometown.

If tonight was the first time we had eaten there, we wouldn't return. The fried rice was crunchy, not sure if it was uncooked or had sat too long. The black pepper chicken was dry and hard to eat. Otoh, the Mongolian beef was fantastic.

My wife and I did not quickly choose this restaurant because we thought it would be a typical Chinese buffet, but we were very pleasantly surprised and sorry we waited. The quality of the food is excellent. We ordered takeout and decided on egg drop soup, pan fried dumplings and moo shu shrimp. The portions size was very generous so we were able to enjoy the following day. Everything was seasoned well and not overly salty or oily. We will definitely be returning.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with our great experience here. We didn't know what to expect goin to a buffet within 2 hours of closing time, but we can definitely recommend eating here. The staff was prompt, food was hot and flavor of everything was great, and the buffet was well stocked for being near closing.

This was the first time for us with carry out. The meals were flavorful but not much meat in any entree. We had Beef and pea pods and chicken chop suey. Did not get chop suey noodles and the egg roll was very skimpy. We will go back again-but they must do better. We are still hungry.

I usually make a trip here from Sister Bay once or twice a year and order to go. Love the food, excellent portion sizes. My personal favorite is the Chicken Lo Mein and egg soup. Never takes longer than 10-15 minutes when I order my usual 3-4 entrees.
