I wish more people when they like things would put posts. I enjoyed it here. The place may look bad by some reviews but it was a wonderful experience overall. Management was great and the food was delicious! They treat u like family and make u feel nice and welcomed.
The Right Stuff. The stuffed flounder (filet version) is just wonderful. I haven't encountered a flounder dish this delicious in years. It was a huge portion. Had enough to take home for lunch the following day. Also had the gumbo and my wife had the crab bisque. Both were very good.
We had a working lunch function in Sugar Land. I definitely love seafood. So I was all in. We had a little bit of everything. Gumbo was ho hum. It needed more gumbo filet. The blackened filet was 12 oz. But it would have been an appetizer for me. The oysters were tasty š. Crab finger appetizers were way too small.
The crab cakes had awful š remolade sauce. I took plenty of pictures and good feedback from each entree. But alas it was 20 of us. So I didn't snap all of them.
I had the seafood platter. It consists of shrimp (6-8), oysters, 2 catfish filets, over a bed of fries, and two hush puppies. My meal was fried. It was okay. Nothing spectacular or worth having a second time.
Parking is a premium there. And the restaurant is small even with a covered patio outside. The bathroom was clean and well kept. Always check that first before eating at a location for the first time.
Sterling was our waiter. He gave us the backstory on Floyd Landry and the creation of the restaurant. Quite impressive and very personable. The food? OMG!!! I hadnāt heard of the place before but the food was a golden find. Clean. Quick. Tasty. Cocktails were on point. Prices were reasonable. A little music played. Astros game replaying. Another tv had a Charmed re-run. You know itās good when the local police occupy 3 tables for lunch. Stuffed jalapeƱos were flavorful but no heat. š¢ Fried catfish was perfect to my order. Baked oysters with parmigiana was a hit with my hubby. The seafood gumbo was the right color but it wasnāt thick (mustāve been the roux). Iām definitely coming back because the menu had a lot of mouthwatering dishes Iāve just got to try.
Enjoyed great food and great service. We sat outdoors and weāre not bothered by bugs and they had fans on. We were seated quickly. Our server was attentive and listened to our requests. We shared the spinach dip and one platter of fish and shrimp with fries. It was more than enough and we had leftovers. This is not a place for calorie counting but definitely a comfort food place! The bathroom was clean and I liked the signage on the doors āKingsā and āQueens.ā

Floydās has been serving up tasty authentic Louisiana cuisine since 1934. Cajun seasoning runs in there blood. Iāve been coming here for about 7 years, and every item on the menu will never disappoint your taste buds. On top of the high quality food is friendly, hospitable customer service. If youāre at a loss of where to go this weekend for lunch, or dinnerā¦ Floydās is an excellent choice.
The vibe is great at Floyd's. The food was excellent. The only drawback was the service. Either it was not enough waiters/ waitresses or she was just not good. Due to the fact everything else was above average I'll be back.

Just as good as always! Last time, I got the dozen shrimp special, which was very good and properly prepared. This time, I got Grilled Redfish. Even better. Nice serving staff. Not too busy at lunch on a weekday. Was not busy Wednesday evening, either. Go visit them! OK?
Food was delicious and came out super quick. If you want a quick Friday night meal but in a sit down setting; my wife and I were sat down and paid and out the door in probably 30 minutes. We probably added ten of those minutes. Our server was a super friendly guy. Will definitely go back. The only thing negative was my wifeās water glass was dirty.
Great food .. Amazing services .. Actually it was our first visit but not the last one .. Mr. jack and the team let us come in even they were going to close but they were serving us everything we ordered with nice smile .. Awesome team .. food was so nice , shrimp was great with amazing taste .. Salmon was so juicy and YUMMY ā¦ I strongly advise to visit this Floydās Seafood Restaurant
This was our third visit to Floyds in Sugar Land, Texas. We had a great experience each time! The service was fast, friendly, and efficient. Our orders came out as requested, and were DELICIOUS! Our server was very conscientious, and never let our glasses of tea become empty.
We will DEFINITELY be back!
This is one of my favorite places to eat at. The oysters are amazing! I won't eat them anywhere else. For lunch today the manager Denise came by to check on us and was so welcoming! She really made us feel like we were right at home. Ever since covid you don't get that type of treatment at many places, but Floyd's in Sugarland is by far the best place in town.
Damn I wish I could remember my servers name. Tall black gentleman with only 2 dreads coming down as bangs. He was awesome. He was extremely prompt with refilling our drinks. He was courteous and outgoing. Hope to be in his section next time I go there

Everything was very lovely, our waiter was friendly and the service was quick. The food was āokay,ā it just seemed like some of the main dishes were not fresh and warmed up which made it taste not that great!
I have been here before and everything was excellent, so Iām thinking this trips food was a āone off.ā
Really good Cajun style food and excellent service. I have been to the Beaumont location numerous times and loved it so I gave this one a shot. The reason for 4 stars is the food just didn't knock my socks off but I will return to try again.
