Absolutely the best flavor fusion ever. I could smell the food walking into home depot and I couldn't resist the temptation to try Aling's! Follow your nose to Aling's and you won't regret! Loved every tasty bite!
When one visits a restaurant , one looks forward to good food , that's a given in...
If its pocket friendly , great!
If the service is good, couldn't ask for anything better.
Aling's , fulfills all the above and more with wonderful chefs Gary and Aatiam who are passionate about food and their guests.
The proprietors Mr Irfan Motiwala and Mr Gary yan are known for their warm hospitality and personal attention towards their guests which feels like the icing on the cake.
In all, a nice place will definitely patronise again and recommend to my friends as well.
The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The service was very good as well and I would definitely recommend this place! 5 Stars!
Aling's has amazing indo-chinese food!! It's absolutely delicious! Chef Gary is extremely talented and so kind and humble! The food here is fantastic, if you haven't tried it you're missing out!! Don't skip out on the manchurian if you're a manchurian lover (as I clearly am). Fun and family-friendly environment as well. Don't forget to leave room for tasty and unique drinks and dessert.
The food, service and owners are exceptional. This is one of our favorite restaurants!. I highly recommend it.
Aling's is a Houston institution and I was able to visit after a long time yesterday. The food was delicious, the place was hustling and bustling, including the outdoor patio, and service was good. I'm particularly impressed and admire Aling's because they constantly support the community. For example, yesterday they were hosting a cancer awareness event in their meeting area (fewer tables and space for people to stand up and walk around and talk like a reception). This is only one of the numerous institutions that I have seen their name supporting and happy to extend the support back to them.
Finally revisited Alings after 3years. The Chicken Chili gravy was spot on and was served hot. Hakka Noodles were plain simple Veg Noodles nothing fancy. Chick 88 was a little bit dry for my taste but overall tasted really good. The dessert won our heart and it will definitely bring us back. Overall the food was better compare to our last experience. I saw a lot of new items in the menu but the prices are on high end for Indo-Chinese restaurant.
Good eats and large portions. Chinese food with a slight unique flavor. Service was quick and attentive. Recommend
We ordered the following:
Man Chow Chicken Soup 9/10
Beef Manchurian 7/10 first time I tried a dry Manchurian dish, and it was a bit too salty
Honey Chilli Chicken 9/10 we liked it should have a little bit mote gravy
Ailing fried rice 10/10, we loved it
Spring rolls were good 8/10
Service was in the spot, and they brought the food in no time, honestly.
The restaurant is very nice with plenty parking
It was very busy once were sitting
We arrived first at 5.30 pm
The waitress was Ethiopian and was extremely polite and friendly. Also knowledgeable about the cuisine.
We ordered mild or medium spicy 🌶️
Which was also spicy for us.
The 🥭 mango drink was very good
American chop sue was very flavorful and interesting but portion was huge very convenient.
Fried rice was great
Hakka noodles was very good except for chilies added which were very 🥵
Chicken chili was flavorful
Beef crispy was sweet and sour taste 👅 but tasty
This is one of a kind Indian-Chinese restaurant. The food is very delicious and available in varying spice level. They have a good choice of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. I like the tofu options they have for most dishes if paneer or meat is not preferred.
Love their Aling’s Old fashion, other cocktails are good too.
It gets crowded, loud & busy during the weekends so, plan accordingly.
The staff are very efficient and quick with their service.
I visited this restaurant with my family on my birthday. We ordered Hakka Beef Noodles (9/10), Chicken Fried Rice (10/10), Chili Chicken (9/10), and Sizzling Chili Beef (9/10). The dessert was on the house as a surprise for my birthday. The food was delicious, the taste was awesome, and it’s a very family-friendly restaurant. The service was great and I strongly recommend this place!
A good place for Halal Chinese. A little pricey, but the food is good.
Best Chinese food with very quick delivery, very delicious and good quantity, highly recommended.
*Update* went for dining today every thing was perfect.
Good food, really liked the sizzling fish. It was sizzling hot and crispy.
Sizzling beef was ok, had a sauce that had a slightly strange aftertaste.
The crispy tofu was good, we all enjoyed it, especially the kids.
Basil eggplant was delicious, it had lots of flavor.
Hakka noodles were alright, kind of bland.
Chicken dumplings were average. We got them pan-fried.
The vegetable tikkis were spicy, which I thought was delicious, but others at my table didn't realize it and didn't enjoy it.
Honey chili chicken was delicious as well. It had just a little kick of spice.
We did not care for the sweet and sour chicken. The sauce was very heavy and overpowering.
The true TEST of the restaurant lies in the TASTE of its food.
One of the best restaurants that offers Indo-Chinese food, which is a well sought food by many. My overall experience was great and I'll surely visit that again. Here is my say
FOOD ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The food is delicious. We tried multiple items and we were not disappointed with any of them. We tried Eggplant Manchurian (try this out if you love eggplant), Hakka Noodles which was made with well balanced spices, Hot and sour soup and Pina Colada, a drink that was made with coconut milk with the right amount of sweetness to it.
QUANTITY ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Each food item that we ordered was of enough quantity to enjoy with your companion, except the soup.
PRICE ⭐⭐⭐⭐
It is a bit pricey however given the fact that its food, ambience and service which are great, it is worth the price. On an average, it is going to cost around $60 for two, however that entirely depends upon what you order.
AMBIENCE & CLEANLINESS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- The place is well managed.
- The gap between the tables are wide enough
- The hygiene was well maintained.
the food was really good! we loved everything we ordered but one of the dishes was less spicy than we thought. the owner/manager was quick to help recommend a better dish and switched it for us. good quantities of food and we’ve been coming since before they moved. the service was also good. we’ll be sure to come back soon :)
Nice location. The restaurant was a little dark and moody. We got there a bit early so there was plenty of seating. Hands down the best bathroom of any restaurant I have been to in the Houston area. Big thumbs up.
I ordered the General Tsos Chicken which is my got to dish. This was top 5 for taste. My wife had a Garlic Fish which was also nice. We had a couple fruity drinks which were good as well.
The lows were the Sweet Corn Soup which sort of just tasted like cream corn from a can and the fact that rice had to be ordered separately.
Service was good and I think the value was right on. They have a bar and a large menu, so it could be a nice place for a big family or group meal.
Amazing food, excellent service. Aling's has been our must visit dining spot whenever we are in the Houston area for quite some time now. The hakka dishes they serve are truly authentic. We haven't found any other place that even comes close.
One of the best restaurant for desi Chinese in Houston. Aligns has good dark and sassy ambiance besides excellent service. My recommendations are man chow soup, Dry Manchurian, paneer chili, chicken lollipop and sweet lava bite. Dessert is must try. They do serve alcohol and their mock tails are good but they didn’t stood up-to my expectation. Price range is above average bit towards expensive. Avoid visiting during weekends it has long waiting lines.
Outstanding, freshly-prepared, "genuine" Chinese cuisine food (with the usual Americanized dishes). Much, much better than the chains and franchise outlets. Out of the way (unless you live near ALT 90 and SH 6), but definitely worth the trip.
Delicious food....great service and ambience ...lots of parking!
Delicious Indo-Chinese food. Lunch comes with soup and egg roll. I really like the sauce that came with our meal.
Latest: I've tried them at both their old and new location. The new location is so much better. The restaurant is bigger and modern. The food is still really good. I've met the owners and they're very passionate about helping the community.
Good Indo Chinese fusion point. It's a feel good place for dining.. Recommend: chicken lollipop, chicken 88, halls noodles and schezwan rice!!
