1st time at an all vegetarian Indian place. The menu is very limited (only 1 page) but the variety is spread out. We ordered samosa chat, veggie biryani, eggplant masala, plus a side of basmatti rice. They were all tasty and full of aromatic spices without being overwhelmingly spicy. If you haven't eaten any Indian food, this is a good place to test your palate, as everything is delicious. Person behind the counter was also very friendly and helpful with menu recommendations. This is a mom, pop business adjacent to a gas station, so dont be surprised by the paper plates and plastic forks that are served with your food.

Indian veggie restaurant run by a family in a store front which is part of a gas station. Hole in the wall place but the food is fresh and prices are reasonable. Not sure if I would go here for the entrees but definitely the place to go for their Indian desserts/sweets - very well done. The gulab jamun and rasgullas are very tasty. Definitely worth a try.

The food taste fresh and really delicious. Not a place for sit and eat, which I went for but they only had take out options. but overall I loved it.

This is a hidden gem for vegetarian north Indian food lovers. A family run business and so they seem to maintain a low profile. Very clean and homely food. They don't offer dine in right now - only delivery and take out.

Pure Veg fast food style restaurant. Their daal & malai kofta is to die for! Specially when you make it very spicy b/c otherwise it is too mild for us. Even with recent price hikes, they still have reasonable prices.

Seriously the most refined Indian cuisine I've had since, flavours that devote more to artistry than merely heat and garam masala from a jar The restaurant serves food that is both traditional and authentic , Nice staff and good service. 👏

This place makes excellent tasting very authentic Indian food for a great price! We are frequent comers here for to go service and the food is made promptly and fresh. The service is great the food is delicious and the prices are lower than 90% of other Indian restaurants/cafes in the area. You won’t be disappointed.

Has to be hands down the best Indian restaurant in Houston. Their food tastes exactly like home cooked food. I don't think you can get any more authentic than this. Amazingly good food. It is in a hole in the wall, and the location is a little sketchy, but don't let that deter you from the amazing food it offers. Definitely going again when I'm in Sugarland

Great value for money!! They only do ToGo orders. 'Sarson ka saag with makki ki roti' is really good. Most of the vegetable entrees are more like home cooked punjabi food. They also have some house made snacks (namkeen) as well as sweets.

Small hidden gem here. food is great and super cheap like 5 dollars a meal. Don't be afraid to make adjustments to make your order close to being plant-based that's what we did and it turned out very well. Though ghee is used in the cooking so you can't avoid that. I have since been here many times and I have to say I haven't had a bad visit and the food has been consistently hot and fresh. There can be a wait but considering the quality it barely registers as a problem.

Thali platter is a great deal. Saag Paneer was delicious, so was the gulab jamun & samosas. We got it Doordashed and would do it again!

Some times they make amazing dishes and sometimes they make okay. There is no consistency. However, there prices are very reasonable - Completely vegetarian and clean. One time I had mixed vegetable curry that was amazing. Next time one of my family came to visit us I ordered the same dish that was horrible. Panner mkahni they make really good. However, you are hungry and looking for quick and cheap option this is the right one.

If you crave for home cooked Indian vegetarian meal, then Indian Express should be the right choice. They have a limited number of items, and yes! sometimes some items may not be available. But the quality and taste of the food they provide is unparallel. The price is unbeatable too! I would definitely give them a 5 star for the quality and taste within the affordable price.

Indian Express is my favorite Indian restaurant in Houston! As a Sugar Land local- I highly recommend it. The best vegetarian cuisine around. I am not a vegetarian but my fiancée and I eat here at least once a week. I highly recommend the salad chole or Hanna masala if you love chickpeas. Their trays are good if you want to try a variety. Rice or naan is highly recommended with any of their dishes. It’s 5 stars for a reason!
