I love this place. I have been there numerous times. If you want to be treated special, drink some good tea, and eat great food then this is the place. Oh, and the scones are the best around.

My mom and I went here today to celebrate our birthdays. The food was amazing. The lemon chicken soup was to die for. Our waitress was the best. We are going to make this our yearly tradition.

As soon as we parked, my thoughts were... cute cute cute!!!! The enterance path to the Tea House is a beautiful garden. (NOTE: To my fellow heel-wearers... it is a difficult to walk the walkway as it is gravel/dirt so you may want to keep your Louboutin's at home). The Secret Garden Tea Room resides in a Victorian home which is lovely. It was a little difficult to find but Google Maps brought us straight there. We came from Seattle so it drives you past a commercial business areas. The Secret Garden Tea Room sits next to a business building which was a little confusing but TRUST Google Maps and you will make it just fine! Parking is available at the side of the home in their gravel lot. My friends and I had made reservations to celebrate my best friend's birthday. Upon arrival, a man who resembled a concierge or host, was waiting to greet us on the front porch. When you enter the home, there are gifts and trinkets everywhere, with a tiny shop to the right. Tea hats, fascinators, jewelry, scarves, clothes galore! Our concierge/host seated us promptly and our waitress, Renee immediately welcomed us and assisted us in reviewing our menus. Our first task was to make our tea selection. They have tons of tea options, which are broken down in various categories. I prefer a naturally non-caffeinated tea and I was grateful that the menu made my selection easy to find. I chose a caramel red tea which was amazing! Each of us got our own tea pot with our own special tea selection. As I am gluten-free, I was ecstatic to find that the Secret Garden offered EVERYTHING on the menu in a gluten-free option. (NOTE: For gluten-free, you pay an extra $5 and are required to place your order via phone at least 48 hours in advance.) I ordered the Larkspur. We each started off with scones, lemon curd, jam and a tart whipped cream. With my Larkspur, I could have had endless scones which I wished I had taken advantage of since my GF scone was so moist and delish... However, I wanted to leave room for the rest of my order. The Larkspur arrived on a three tiered stand. The bottom stand with little tea sandwiches with bread that did not resemble to be gluten-free (in GF terms, that means it was very good!) The second tier were savory items such as a meatball, quiche and fruit. My top tier were about 5-6 desserts. Everything was bite sized but it was all so good and surprisingly filling. I am still craving the scones and lemon curd with whipped cream! My friends ordered lunch dishes with lunch items such as: chicken pot pie soup, raspberry salad, orzo salad, pea salad, tea sandwiches... which they all said was superb. Since it was my bestie's birthday, our waitress provided her with a complimentary chocolate cake with a bday candle. The price was not bad. The total for the four of us was about $95. Compared to Tea Rooms in Seattle, this is actually fairly inexpensive. Especially when it comes to gluten-free.... The ambiance is very Victorian. Floral wallpaper in every room, including the bathroom. I wouldn't have it in my home, but it was perfect for the Secret Garden. They even have a little side sun room with two two-person tables... might be fun for a date if you can finagle your love to get in touch with his feminine side. One downside is that they only had one bathroom. Our party of four had the same reservation time as a party of ten. So both our parties ended about the same time. Therefore, the bathroom was in high demand until they left. Overall, from start to finish.. we had a great time. Customer service was superb... We never felt rushed and despite how busy they were, we never felt neglected. The owner even came out to introduce herself and welcome us. It was a very fun experience. We will definitely be back and next time, we will be in floral dresses and tea party hats!

Visited for the first time today with my husband. We ordered the gluten-free larkspur tea. I was so impressed with everything! There were many little details that I appreciated, but the best part was the food! Unbelievably good. Any gluten-free person knows that GF baked goods are often lackluster at best. I didn't know that all the baked goods would be from scratch. I was extremely pleased, to the point where I asked if I could meet the pastry chef and tell thank her in person. What a gem! We'll definitely be back.

I'm going back in a couple weeks. That's three times this year. Love this place! If you're hungry you can get the Tea with soup and salad or keep it on the lighter side with scones and tea sandwiches. Such a wonderful place. You can even do GF.

What a magical place. We held my daughters 8th birthday here and not only did they accommodate 6 squirrely girls, but they made them each feel so special. The tea was wonderful, the scones are to die for and the ambiance is perfection. From young to old, there is something for everyone here. What a great place to make some memories.

I don't normally drink tea or do anything fancy. I really enjoyed the coconut layered tea. I highly recommend it if you're not a big tea fan. Everything was so wonderful and delicious! I was brought here for my birthday and will definitely come again! It reminded me of having tea parties with my grandpa when I was little. You get to dress up and be a little girl again! We did the rose tea so we got a little of everything and everything was so good and worth the price. I plan on coming here with my daughter when she is old enough. Thank you for the great and memorable birthday!!!

Beautiful decor and ambiance! Gluten free options were impressive, be sure to specify gluten free 48 hrs in advance. Herbal tea list was also impressive, I loved the champagne strawberry tea!

My sister-in-law and I have birthdays in December. This is the second year that we've celebrated our birthdays at the Secret Garden with family. I can't think of a more lovely and festive way to celebrate. Wonderful ambience, food, service (Heidi took such great care of us) - I could go on and on! P.S. I fell in love with the Christmas Tree water goblets and plate candle clips. Wish they were for sale at the tea shop!

Today was my first but not last visit to this delightful tea room! I went with a friend to celebrate our January birthdays. We had a great time. Our server was lovely and the food was fantastic. The gift shop was quaint and filled with lots of tea related goodies! Only downside was that there wasn't enough of their tea blends available for sale. Truly had a wonderful time and hope to return soon!

Went to the secret garden for a girls day celebrating my daughters 4th birthday. I can't say enough great things about this place. It ended up being better than I imagined. My mil who was visiting from NJ (and is a tea lover) was very pleased!! We will definitely make this a yearly tradition and hope to be back soon. Renee was our waitress and she was absolutely fabulous!

I love the charm of this old house turned into an amazing tea room. There are many different choices of tea sets from basic scones & tea, to full on commemorative picture, all the bells & whistles tea. They also have amazing lunch & dinner options that change with the seasons. It's a great place to spend a couple hours with tasty treats & great company.

I took my sister here for a birthday Tea time, it was elegant and delicious! The cranberry salad was beyond divine and we can't wait to go back. I also stopped in at the gift shop and had a hard time not taking everything home with me. The prices were beyond fair and I wear the dress I bought often. Stop by even if you don't have time for tea and are looking for a great gift buying location.

This is a sweet experience. It’s a beautiful building and the gift shop is enough to hold you enthralled for hours! For repeat experiences however, the food is not at the quality they charge for the experience. It’s good, but unfortunately, not special. Thus a four star review. The teas I’ve had are very good. Go at least once!

The waitresses are friendly. The food is ok, but the experience is the reason to do this. The fanciness and manners are super lovely. Been 3-5 times and cannot wait to do it again. The only complaints are I smell animal urine when I walk it. My nose is a little extra so this doesn't ruin the experience and everything is clean, so do not let this deter you in anyway. The tables are cozy, feels more like a European restaurant. We usually go on Sunday afternoon and there has always been a large loud party in the middle. 4.5999 would recommend highly.

Amazingly beautiful. Meticulously quaint with a British ambience and a dash of magical charm. You are sure to cherish your memories of a High Tea experience at The Secret Garden Tea House. Just the right amount of British charm and gift shop luster.
