The owner greeted my friend and I like we were both regulars. He and the lady taking our order were very attentive of her gluten allergy. He checked in on us often and we never had to wait to put in a request. The food was so SO good, we got rock shrimp, chicken katsu don, and an angel roll.
Came here for a date night and was blown away. The staff were so inviting and made me feel like I was a regular there.
The sushi was just as great as the service. The pink special roll was my favorite. After that, the ultraman roll then the AJ roll. All the fish was amazingly fresh. The owner also gave us some special tuna, and the flavor was out of this world. For desert, we were given some fresh fruit.
This was honestly one of my best sushi experiences in a very long time. Next time I want sushi, this will be my place.
Lovely restaurant with delicious food. The Sashimi Bento box, Udon Noodle Meal, and Unagi Rice Bowl were beautifully presented while also being very fresh and lovely. The attached pic is of the complimentary amuse bouche from the house.
My brother-in-law took us to this storefront Japanese restaurant. Small with a very nice and broad menu. Very fresh
The owner who is constantly circulating around the 2 dining rooms brought us Fried Mushrooms complementary, really good.
I had the sashimi dinner that had 16 pieces of 5 different fishes, very fresh. Comes with soup or salad. I tried the salad with an excellent carrot-ginger dressing.
My wife ordered a California Roll with brown rice and a Vegetable Tempura , assorted veggies, both very good.
Highly recommend Tenjin Sushi.

You are welcomed like family! The food was delicious.
The best sushi in the area— hands down. The pieces of fish are large and the quality of the fish is always super fresh. We’ve tried other places only to be disappointed. Lesson learned—Tenjin is the only place we will order from now. Steve is incredible as are any of the lovely people that answer the phones. We have allergies and modify our orders. They always get it right, and we feel confident they take the care to keep us safe. Photo of tray we had for Christmas Eve— not a piece was left! Delicious!
This is a nice Sushi Restaurant in Syosset New York, a little bit off of Jericho Turnpike close to The Seafood Oyster Bay Expressway. Small parking lot, next to Wild Fig Turkish Restaurant. Clean facilities. There is some cooked entrees like Udon and Teriyaki dishes. But, Sushi is the main theme here. There is a long Sushi bar in the back. Spicy Edamame, Pepper Tuna, and the Sauteed Squid were good appetizers. Sushi Dinner, which is a Chef's Choice, came with a Salmon Roll. The Nigiri Sushi here is surprisingly better than I expected. Food is reasonably priced. This is more of a neighborhood restaurant, with lots of locals inside. Everyone knows each other. The owner/ manager, Steven(Not Japanese), is extremely friendly. He greets every customer personally, and knows each of them by name. He makes you feel at home, which is why many people come back. We were the only Asian Patrons on a Saturday Evening. My advice, give this place a try, and you decide about the food.
Im not even going to lie to you one of the cutest places Ive been to for sushi recently it was super yummy! Everyone was attentive and super hospitable thank you!! :)
