I used to frequent the Boulangerie during my lunch hour a lifetime ago in the late 1990's to early 2000's. t was a quick walk and one of my favorite sandwich shops.
I went in this week, after over 20 years and the chicken salad is as good as I remembered, the French bread was even cut the same way, and the raspberry dessert? Amazing. Never change!
Even though I don't work in the city anymore, I think I have a lunch place I need to frequent again :)
The #2 (turkey, bacon, tomato, garlic mayo) on French bread with provolone is my favorite sandwich! It is absolutely the best sandwich from anywhere!!! No picture because I can't wait to eat it đ
My husband had his first sandwich today #24 (roast beef, roasted reds, lettuce, tomatoes, onions with horseradish sour cream) he agreed, that this was the best sandwich ever.
My only complaint is that they close at 3pm.
I took my wife out here for lunch, and it was a great little sandwich shop.
I got the #17 roast beef. The sandwich was great, but my sauce kept squeezing out through the bread onto my fingers. The bread was my choice, so I canât fault the cafe for that. The taste was good though. I wish the bacon had been more prominent, but all in all, still a great sandwich.
My wife got the #21. It came with their homemade âraspbeñeroâ sauce. Which she said was sweet and didnât really have a habañero kick to it. She also said there were more red onions than she expected. I love onions, so that was a plus in my book, haha. However, not many sandwich shops offer roast pork as a meat, and that was pretty good.
All in all, we both finished our sandwiches, they were good food, and I, in no way, felt that Iâd paid too much for what I received. They were full size sandwiches. The name may sound fancy, which usually means chintzy sized sandwiches, but they werenât. They were pretty darn good. I didnât feel the need to get anything extra to supplement the sandwich. I was satisfied. And I am anything but petit myself. Their selection was awesome too, it wasnât just, âroast beef, turkey, etc.â You could tell theyâve thought things out.
Boulangerie will definitely make it into our sandwich shop rotation.
Very busy during lunch time during the week, but worth the wait. The workers are a well oiled machine and get things out very fast, and even though there are many customers they are attentive and considerate to each one they service
The menu is pretty vast but they also have speciality sandwiches and wraps. I'm not sure where their stretch bread comes from but it's really good! The raspbanero spread is one of my favorites too.
Very good sandwiches at a reasonable price
Everytime I stop in for a pickup the employees are always polite to me and the food always smells, looks and tastes delicious. Sandwiches, soups, pasta salad...OOOUUEE đ This is a great spot for a quick lunch break in Franklin Square!
This is not a place you should go to if you're looking for great customer service. However, it definitely isn't bad customer service, it merely the lack thereof. Nonetheless, I have no choice but to give this place 5 stars. I would give them more if i could. Their food is flawless. Syracuse is renowned for unsavory, unpleasant distasteful food. But not this place. I had a cornbeef sandwich that sent my taste buds on a journey it has never experienced from a sandwich before. I will definitely return again and again and I will never order a sandwich from any other place in Syracuse besides them. They even carry my favorite rootbeer as well. It was a very clean, relaxing, quiet and inviting environment.
There is no finer sandwich establishment in Syracuse. Theyâre roast pork sandwich is incredible. They have so many great flavors that no one can touch. If you have not tried this location you have not tried sandwiches I have people who beg me to bring the sandwiches to work from time to time, and I always smile when I do I donât think I have a picture to show you, but I can tell you that the flavors are amazing and will take you to a level youâve never seen before everything has a wow factor and I mean it
I regretfully have to admit I have no photos of the food here. I was hungry and I just didn't take the time to take any. The sandwiches here are so good I literally inhaled mine. Today I ordered the New Mexico Chipotle wrap. The sandwiches and wraps are described as gourmet and they don't disappoint. From the ingredients used to the care in which they assemble them, the whole experience is top notch. With a enough of a dining area to accommodate people of all walks I like to stop by and enjoy what they have to offer for daily specials. Next time I'll snap a few pics depending on my appetite.
Good sandwiches. The #24 was really tasty. Will have to come back to try breakfast. A little bit small but filling.
They have a large menu of unique sandwiches. This place is great for a work lunch. They are fast and the sandwiches are made with quality ingredients. The prices are good, about $6 for a large sandwich.
This place is so good!! I ordered a bacon egg & cheese sandwich on a bagel and they made the scrambled eggs fresh to order. Their bread is also amazing, I love getting their roast beef & herb cream cheese on French bread. The staff are wonderful too. Just a great spot to grab a bite!
Hands down the best French baguette sandwich shop in Syracuse. Their baguettes are baked fresh everyday...soft but crunchy and any filling you choose to put in it is going to melt in your mouth. My favorite is #18.
I rarely leave a review. But I ordered from there last week... delicious.
And this week, I've been there 3 times in a row for a lunchtime sandwich.
Such a great spot. #25, No Tom, Extra Mayo. Other spots around town have got nothing on this place. Oh yeah, that mac salad with the tuna in it HITS.
Good bread and good meats lead to a very good sandwich at a reasonable price.
My friend and I stopped by here for lunch, and ordering/waiting for our sandwiches was quick and easy. The cashier was very nice and friendly to us! The sandwiches are a good size and not overpriced at all - and not to mention they're delicious. The only other thing I should mention is that there's no wifi - so while this is a fantastic place to stop by for lunch, this isn't the place to study/get work done. Other than that, I loved this place! Will be coming back again.
These sandwiches are so unexpected from a place so tucked into an industrial/apartment building area! Came by here looking for a quick bite while on a roadtrip. Got the Monte Cristo panini and it was perfect. Crisp bread, delicious meat, quick service. Will definitely go again if I'm ever in the area.
