Everything was amazing - especially the food. Just didn’t love the staff coming over every other second to attend to water or something else that can wait. Please also be aware of a credit card fee they stick in your bill. We did not love this strange add on especially after spending so much money, but will still be back (with cash)!
Good fine dining place in Syracuse. The entire menu is paired with wines (you can order without wine), showcasing the chef's care for wine selection.
This makes it an ideal destination for wine lovers. The dishes are not only delicious but also beautifully presented, adding to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. However, the foie gras was a bit greasy for my taste.
What impressed me the most was the friendliness of the staff. While I was taking pictures, a male staff member approached my table and kindly removed any items that were obstructing the background.
This level of attentiveness made my experience even better, and I would gladly return on a special occasion.
Additionally, convenient parking spaces are available right in front of the restaurant.
Three friends and I went to Saint Urban for my 30th birthday dinner and we had an incredible time! I wasn’t sure what to expect because looking at the menu online, it seemed a little overwhelming. But we had an amazing server who explained everything to us. The entire staff was warm and friendly. It made fine dining very accessible. And the food was delicious! It was a great experience.
There is fine dining in Syracuse! This place is incredible. The food is excellent, the service was stellar, the wine list was unparalleled. What more could you ask for?
The menu changes monthly and is inspired by different wine regions from around the world. The dishes reflect and compliment the region and are in a level that's more on par with high end restaurants in NYC.
The gnocchi for this month was probably the best I've ever had in my life. Including the gnocchi I've had in Italy. That dish blew me away.
I highly recommend the 7 course tasting menu. Each serving is pretty big and you'll leave full and happy. I'm excited this place exists and I will definitely be back.
Had a wonderful experience at this place! We were able to get a last minute reservation in even though it was late. Staff was incredibly welcoming and offered drinks while we waited for our table. They actually had a sommelier in house who was super knowledgeable and passionate about the wine list; every suggestion he made we loved. Boyfriend and I went through the coursed out tasting menu and it really makes me appreciate the flavor combinations and the palette of each bite. Don’t let the small portions of each plate fool you, by the time we made it to the end, I was STUFFED! Service is the most perfect I’ve seen in Syracuse so far — definitely above and beyond. Every month they change their menu to showcase a different region of the world, so we can’t wait to be back!
My Husband and I celebrated our recent wedding here after our original honeymoon plans were thwarted. Both of us opted for the 7 course menu with wine pairing. Upon entering it was clear we would enjoy ourselves. The environment felt like someone’s lovely home kitchen spilled into an upscale dining room. There was a team of servers. We had one doing the bulk of our service, but it was clear they all worked together to take care of the patrons. The staff were kind, knowledgeable and professional. We were taught about the wines paired with each of our courses.
The courses flowed beautifully and the wines paired with them were perfect. I could write an entire article about how much we truly enjoyed this experience, and perhaps I nearly have. We are already planning to celebrate our first wedding anniversary here next year. Can’t wait to see what will be on the menu then!
What a surprisingly great find in Syracuse! My wife, son and I decided on the 7 course tasting menu and enjoyed wines from Loire Valley last night. It was one of the most memorable meals for us. The preparation, delivery and flavors of the food were excellent and the wine pairings were perfect. Our server, Maria, was engaging and knowledgable as was the sommelier who taught us a few things about Loire valley wines. We will be back.
Start a special budget category to make a trip to St Urban and go all out! While it's possible to enjoy a meal and wine here for less, my love and I went to celebrate his birthday, so we opted for the full tasting menu with wine pairing. It's worth every penny. Everything about our experience was excellent.
We arrived a touch early so we sat outside at a bistro table to wait just a bit before our table was ready. We were able to order drinks while waiting. The ambiance inside is cozy and lends itself equally well to the casually or fancily dressed diner. The way the kitchen and bar are located and decorated, it's as if you're in someone's very nice dining room and you can just peek into the kitchen.
There is a team of servers and other waitstaff working together smoothly to take orders, run food, bus, and answer questions. The service was amazing. What impressed us most was the knowledge and appreciation that each person had about the food and wine. We enjoyed the full tasting menu for June, and opted for the standard wine pairing. Although frankly, calling it standard is practically an insult to the quality of the wine. The food and wine were paired exceptionally well and we learned something each time a new course arrived at our table. The wines were each unique and there wasn't a single one we didn't like.
We both tried at least one food we'd never had before, and the only thing I didn't like was the olives (I just don't like them-never have). Ben's favorite course was the rib-eye which was perfectly cooked and portioned. My favorite was a tie between the Maine Cod and the duck. I am boiling down the description of each course to it's main protein, but they were so much more than that. Every bite was delicious and the flavors were so well balanced.
We hope to return, but we live out of town so we may need to wait awhile. We came to Syracuse specifically to celebrate and couldn't have been happier with our choice of restaurant. If you want to have an elevated meal, look no further than St Urban Wine Bar. You can go in jeans or a suit, order a single glass of wine or a whole meal. It's all absolutely amazing.
I’ve eaten here several times and always walked away very happy. The seven course tasting menu with wine pairing is one of the best meals I’ve had in my life. In particular, the Colorado lamb with sausage, eggplant, and zucchini was insanely good.
One of the most unbelievable meals and wine pairings of my life. Service was impeccable and the wine was out of this world. It’s so sad they are closing shop and leaving for Manhattan but good for them. I wish them all the best!
