Excellent selection of Halal foods. Lebanese Owned. In fact, if my car wasn't in the shop, I'd be there today. I know for a fact they just got a truck in full of food from the Former Yugoslavia (Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia etc). Staff is nice and helpful as well. Great Olive selection and MUCH CHEAPER than going to Wegman's. I miss the owner Gabby... but, I believe his sister still runs the place. Oh, and they do have a restaurant on the side which serves great Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food. Check it out.

Its the Holidays so I was looking for smoked whitefish and I found it at Samirs. I have been going to this store over a decade and I am always happy.😊 Hard to find foods check Samirs. Has a step to get in so is difficult if you are in a wheelchair.

An old established market for Middle Eastern and Greek food. The little sandwich shop next door that's attached make great Greek salads, shawarmas, and gyros too!

Didn't find what I needed (a specific brand of fenugreek leaves), but the staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. UPDATE: They carry a very good kasseri cheese.

Wonderful family to do business with. Suhail is a very kind hearted man who puts his customers at the top of his list. Foods are fresh and well priced. Have only seen 1 woman who works the store everyday, ALL day with a great attitude. Keep up the good work with your store!!

This place is now my go-to for olives, but they have a ton of hard to find things as well. Great meat and cheese counter, awesome selection of feta, owners are super nice, always willing to chat, and always there, 7 days a week. I've been coming here for over 10 years and never once had an unsatisfactory visit.

It is always nice to visit this store in Syracuse, New York to buy Middle Eastern foodstuff. It has been reorganized and made much much better. The lady behind the heck out counter is always pleasant and very accommodating in finding things or explaining how best way to use a specific product. We have been visiting this store for over 30 years. I like the food service addition to the store.

The women working today were funny and very personable. I went in with my friend who is Jewish, and I told her I was going to get her a Palestine bumper sticker. My friend, wasn't amused, but the 2 women working were great. Thank you for being so kind and we will definitely be back. 💜

Samir's is a gem. A Halal store with really good cheeses, a refrigerator case of various sausages, many different olives in liquid (scoop up as much as you want). Jams, fresh pitas, etc., in a small store down the hill from SU and Upstate Medical University. Oh, the cheese prices are very fair.

Best prices! Our go-to store for Italian cheeses. Also God for nuts, olives, dates and more!

Delicious food! Great place to stop by and get an affordable, middle eastern gyro or shwarma! It's especially nice during the summer where you can enjoy the great food and relax in the neighboring Forman Park. I highly recommend this place if you work, go to school, or are passing by and would like an excellent bite!

I shopped here today to meet two very helpful and knowledgeable people a man and a woman who helped explain how to prepare and eat the things I bought. It's not a big store but they do have variety and many cultures are represented here.

I am a regular consumer of their pickles, Ayran, yogurt, dates, jam and noodles. They pretty much have everything you need for a middle eastern table. They also will get rare items for you from California upon request like special breads or greengage fruit. The only catch is DON'T FORGET TO CHECK THE EXPIRY DATE.Do that and you are good to go. It is obviously more pricey than supermarkets so make sure to only buy rare items from here (that they have plenty of).

Can't beat their prices, especially for pita bread. Utica cannot even come close to their prices or the taste. Samir's is the best, and a very friendly staff.

Get yourself out of those false facsimiles of import stores like at the Wegmans international aisle and go to Samir's to find out what a real authentic import selection is suppose to be like. You will also discover that unless you have been buying your items like imported olives, cheese, canned goods, bulk items, pita, beverages, and other such goods from Samir's you have been paying too much and weren't getting the quality you could have gotten from Samir's. If you have been living in the Syracuse Area but haven't been here, what is wrong with you? This place is part of what Syracuse is. If you are visiting, and want to get a taste of the variety that Syracuse has to offer, stop at Samar's. You won't regard it.
