We had a GREAT experience! We were seated quickly and with a smile. Our food was great, still oven hot, and arrived quickly. Our server was on point! He even remembered our request for dessert after our meal. Our server even humored our 6 year old with her questions about the decor :-) We will DEFINITELY be returning customers!
Best pizza in the area... I'm a NY'er and this place is very good and reminds me of home... Classic is the best as far as I am concerned... Beer is great too...
Great pizza, great atmosphere and music, and cool server. Happy and full
I always come eat here when I come into Washington. Pizza and nachos
is so goooood! Service is great.
Staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere was amazing. A great selection of The North West’s finests brews... and the food outa this world! The Rock should be #1 on anyone’s families dining list and adult beverage spots!
Great atmosphere, awesome drinks, good service. The buckets are a lot of fun and the pizza is excellent. I would return, but I recommend reservations!
Some of these reviews are out to lunch! I attend the Rock semi-regularly, and at varying times of day. The food is always amazing. The drinks are unique and creative. The decor is the coolest I've seen anywhere. Yes, sometimes service isn't the best, but that's true anywhere!!! This place whoops the butt of any other pizza franchise. I love it.
Favorite Pizza. Our favorite pizza place in the Seattle area or anywhere for that matter. The lunch buffet is an awesome deal.
Good Buffet for a Reasonable Price. For two people, including drinks and tip, we paid $25.00. Overall the food was good, although the Buffet was primarily pizza with few pasta options. Lots of variety in their offerings of pizza, with friendly wait staff and a nice environment.
Pizza's good, nice service:)
The lunch buffet is the way to do this place. Why? Because you don't have to choose. You can have it all! Weekdays only, at lunch time. They serve up all types of crazy pies at lunch.
Finally went to the Rock for the first time. Honestly, the pizza I had was pretty good. I think it took me too long to finally come here, and the food has been built up and built up over the years from everyone I know, so I think it was too hyped up so there was no way i wasnt going to leave disappointed. BUT it was still really good pizza!!! I also had a "Lava lamp" drink and got to take home a super cool lava lamp cup which lights up, and now doesn't turn off. (when will these batteries die?!?) also i tried the breadsticks with the brown sugar on them, and now i think i am in love! i thought it was a weird idea, maybe its just me, but yeah... great breadsticks!
Filling Pizza!. The Rock Wood is one of those places you grab a handful of buddies and sit down for a good ol' meal. Grab some pizzas and a beer and enjoy!
Good service, nice atmosphere, plenty of seating and nice prices.
Cheers!
Best Pizza in Town. Hands down the tops in pizza. They have other food, but I've never tried it. Can't get over that pizza taste! Too loud, but the place will tickle your eyesight. The curb in front is the Mount Everest of curbs and you'll need to go at off times to keep from having a long wait. Staff is a hoot--very friendly. They'll take special orders (I ask for basil to be put on 5 minutes before it's taken from the oven!)
Tacoma location is the best .... If you're expecting a "nice sit down" restaurant , then you're in the wrong place. The Rock is basically a "pub-grub" style pizza joint. Most of the time their pizza's are very good, however, at times (especially when they're busy) you can end up with a slightly burnt crust. But it really doesn't matter to me because I enjoy the ambiance, the rock music, the food, etc.
Unfortunately, the Rock's South Hill and Federal Way sites (which are closer to where I live), in my opinion, has been unable to duplicate the Tacoma site ... Both restaurants are way too pedistrian for me. Even the pizza doesn't seem to taste the same.
The Bat Outta Hell is hands down one of best pizzas I've ever had. The Rock has a great menu and view of the UW campus across the street. GO DAWGS!
The original location in this local chain and the atsmosphere far exceeds the recreations they have attempted. I always enjoy their pizza and the awesomeness that is the brown sugar mozeralla bread. Also try the bucket.
