What a great atmosphere in this little shop! Such a great selection to choose from… I ended up with a in a butter chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookie along with a cup of coffee. Absolute best cookies I've ever had!!! Will be recommending the shop to my friends!!! Most definitely will be back soon!!
Their staff is friendly and attentive. Their cupcakes and cookies are the best tasting in town. I had one wrapped for a birthday for no extra charge. Great establishment and we like their food truck too.
The red velvet cupcakes are awesome, the fudge brownies are great, the sugar cookies with the icing at Christmas time are excellent and the chocolate chip cookies are amazing. They also have great customer service!

I had my daughter's 9th birthday party at the cake shop this past weekend. It was Awsome! No stress the shop provided invitations, cake, photos, a hostess and much much more. The party room was decorated so cute! The kids loved decorating their cupcakes and cookies. Our hostess Lauren was great with the kids!

The Cake Shop is best shop to go to for any baked good anywhere around Tallahassee. There is a huge variety of baked goods. The cupcakes are in any flavor you can imagine and there are so many magnificent choices other than just cupcakes. The "Monkey Pies" are "da bomb." I support businesses that support our community and The Cake Shop is renown for community support as well. You will never be disappointed.
I've used the Cake Shop for years for different celebrations for my family. The cakes are awesome. I usually visit them on the weekend to grab a cookie or two. They are addictive. Customer service is great. 😍
The carrot cake cupcake is extra moist and extremely delicious. I enjoyed every single bite. I am always pleased when I visit the Cake Shop Bakery.

I purchased some cupcakes today. I'd never been to The Cake Shop and wanted to do something nice for my staff. The young lady who assisted me was very friendly and helpful. I asked for 8 random cupcakes. My staff gobbled up everything within 2 minutes. We were all raving about how delicious they were! We will all be back for seconds! Thank you!

Talk about going above and beyond! I mentioned to Megan a few weeks ago that the eclairs are my absolute favorite dessert are eclairs and that no one in town makes them as good as The Cake Shop, but that they hadn't been out in the case the last few times I stopped by. Today I was so sweetly surprised when she sent one along with a colleague to a lunch meeting! Cake Shop has long since won me over on their sweet treats, but now I'm their #1 fan after such thoughtful and personal service.
Just left the cake shop and had great service! David was really nice and did an awesome job :)
For $3.50 you can go get a small cup of coffee and chemically created syrup, or go to the Cake Shop and get a delicious salted caramel bar and a cup of Lucky Goat coffee. Seems like a prett easy decision.
The best cakes and cupcakes in Tallahassee. Absolutely delicious.

I've been a customer for yrs. Since the John Knox Rd location and I've been ordering cakes for over 10 yrs. It's always fresh sometimes too fresh, lol. Ladies are always very nice and I go weekly actually. I've always been greeted very politely and with wonderful customer service. They even will make cupcakes for me if they are out in the display case. I've never had any worries about quality or taste. And my pooch loves you're doggie cookies!!
I love this place, best cupcakes in town. Other places make the icing and cake way too sweet. I've had a fair share of different cupcakes, and I still consider the Cake Shop my all time fav.
I'm surprised by the negative reviews. I understand some of the reasons, but hands down the Cake Shop has the most delicious flavors, and I love their drive-thru services!
I was able to briefly chat w/ the owner to tell her myself, and she surprised me w/ a very delicious cookie w/ "Thank You" written in icing on top. I was so delighted.
My mama got 50 Pumpkin Sugar Cookies from here for my baby shower. First of all they were Huge! The cookies were delicious, perfectly cooked. They weren't hard but also not too soft that they crumbled making a mess everywhere but just perfect. They were very cutely made and had very good consistency throughout all of them. They are on the pricey side (i also don't know how much grade a cookies like these go for) but very much worth it. The employees where very nice & respectable when we ordered the cookies and also when I picked them up. 15/10 Would recommended and come again

So 14 years ago the Cake Shop made our wedding cake. Every time we visit Tallahassee we stop in to get a few cupcakes that remind us of our cake. EVERY CUPCAKE we get is always amazing. The vanilla and chocolate icing is really really good. The texture is almost like air light and fluffy full of flavor.
This trip though we got our favorite but they had a banana pudding cupcake. I must say that was a good one and our kids loved the cookies-n-cream. I would highly recommend The Cake Shop to everyone.
I can't give this place a full review based upon going there because I had a friend who brought the food, but I will tell you about the flavor! I had a few different kinds of cupcakes. Italian cream, pumpkin, and a few more. These cupcakes are big, like really big. And they are crazy flavorful too. The are nicely designed, simple, but extravagant, with a flavor to match. Honestly I don't see how anyone could really NOT like the cupcakes. They were pretty sweet, but hey, it's a cake shop, soooooooooo yea.
Needed a last minute cake for my little brothers bday and knew exactly where to go. The cake shop never fails to fulfill all of my bakery needs and continues to exceed my expectations. Staff is super friendly and the inside of the shop smells like heaven.
My company orders birthday cake from the Cake shop each month. The cake is always yummy. It was my first time here to pick up the cake. It's a cute and quaint place. There was a bit of confusion in where to get help as my cake had already been ordered and paid for. I was at the check out counter but customers who placed an order after me were getting helped before me. So it'd be great if they could figure that part out. Besides that, they seem like a great local cake shop.

Covid 19 updates:The drive thru experience was really great as well with the new social distancing rules. All the employees are wearing masks. And is a smooth process. The shop closes at 4pm.
I've tried most of the Cake Shop's many different types of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, cinnamon rolls, monkey pies, breads, quiches, and other items. Everything is always beautiful and delicious!! Especially amazing are the cakes of all sizes which are elegantly decorated for the specific occasion or season. Each cake is a work of art and too pretty to cut. After admiring the cake and taking photos, we cut into the cake which can be counted on to be moist and delicious. The same is true for the other Cake Shop cupcakes, cookies, pies, breads, etc. It is a joy to serve Cake Shop goodies to guests or to take them to a party--they are always admired and enjoyed with few, if any, leftovers. Moreover, it is a pleasure to work with the owner and her staff because they are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
I ordered a custom cake to feed a large group of people for a dinner event and the reviews from everyone were overwhelmingly positive. The staff was very friendly and the cake was decorated precisely as I envisioned. The woman on the phone was quite helpful in helping direct me through the purchasing process as far as presenting options and did not attempt to upsell me at all. Overall, a resoundingly positive experience!
