I stopped and ate here for the first time about 3 months ago. I come here once sometimes twice a week. The food is excellent, their prices are Great and I am usually served by the owners. The food is clean, tasty and quality.
I eat here several times a week. Very good quality and clean food. The owners are always there and make sure you get what you ordered.
Ordered takeout for the second time from this restaurant. The vegetable tempura bento box lunch special was $12.85, including taxes. It was delicious! I did not realize this place had tempura at such a great price! It came with soup, salad, 4 pieces of a California roll, and a side of rice.
The first time I had takeout from here, I had the $15 (out the door) Lunch special 3 rolls (Bahama, crunchy, and spicy tuna) with salad and miso soup. It was good, but I have had better rolls. The spicy tuna was delicious. I had high expectations because when i was walking in, the people in front of me were raving about the place. The service was friendly and quick. It took 10 minutes for the takeout order to be ready for pickup.
Will I be back? Yes! Their tempura is fantastic.
Hasu is a quiet and nice Japanese-style eatery with delicious meals and beverages… do not overlook this gem. Pleasant service, excellent cuisine served quickly, and a list of imported beers and spirits. I dine-in but takeaway is also popular.
10/10 for sure! their bento box was so cute and since i don’t eat meat, they switched the shumai with broccoli which i loooove. the crab rangoons? so hot so good. i forgot to take a picture of the miso soup, but it was very rich and good in taste. the service was also noteworthy and wait time wasn’t too crazy either.
How this restaurant doesn’t have higher than a 4.3 rating is beyond me. I can’t think of a single bad thing to say about this place. The chef(s) do not cut any corners at all to ensure their dishes are prepared authentically. Everything is cooked perfectly and all the ingredients are very fresh every time we’ve come. Even a small side of noodles is fried perfectly to order (not sitting in a tub waiting for you.) The fried rice is served equally well.
And don’t get me started on the sushi, it’s so fresh, just take a look behind the bar if you don’t believe me. Not only is it delicious but all of the fish is prepared so beautifully! By far the best sushi in town, and we’ve been to more sushi restaurants than I can remember.
AND I love the atmosphere, it feels like stepping inside something from the Yakuza series, for such a small restaurant they did great. This has quickly become our favorite restaurant. Color me impressed.
Side note: eat your noodles fresh! They’re best if you don’t let them sit in a takeout container any longer than they need to.
Their food is very good. The sushi is excellent. The owners are such nice people. They have a few tables for sit down service as well as take out. We recently moved here from Raleigh and tried a few places before we found Hasu and we are glad we did.
I saw someone recommended this place called Hasu. They said, they have great lunch specials with huge portions at a great price.
They were not lying!!! I’m so glad I tried it cuz I LOVE sushi!
3 rolls, miso soup and salad after tax exactly $15.
Now, they do have cheaper options and a variety.
I’m telling you, you gotta try this place!
Just updating my review. As always the food was great. Note to self, not good for parties larger than 4. Service was friendly but really slow today...short on staff.
Little nice Japanese restaurant. Service was fast, food presentation and quality was great. Unfortunately was not able to take pictures, my battery died.
I went there late one evening because Publix's sushi counter had no selection, and I was not dissappointed! The restaurant was clean and did not smell of fish! The staff was very kind and helped answer my questions about the menu. The rolls were fantastic and the flavor combos were unique. The fish was super fresh! I will definitely go back to Hasu again!
Family-owned, excellent quality, good atmosphere. They offer a dine-in option now after being take-out only during the pandemic. My partner and I made it a last-minute date night and seriously enjoyed it. Excellent quality of food and so many options. I absolutely love this place.
Great food with good prices!
The Chicken and shrimp hibachi was amazing. Staff was very helpful and explained anything we asked.
Every dish I've tried here has been downright excellent. The Hasu Maki special roll, chicken yaki udon, and chicken tempura are all especially good.
For the price, the quality is shockingly high!
Very good lunch deals.
I'm excited to say this is one of Tallahassee's hidden gems. I've eaten here roughly 10 times. I've ordered every different type of hibachi and sushi. Hasu has the best hibachi in town! They don't do the dinner and show like most places but personally this makes me happy. The staff is always concerned with sanitation and does a great job keeping the restaurant clean. I always get my order taken quickly regardless of how busy they are. The staff is always polite as well as nice. My experience has always been so good I make sure to leave bigger tips. Go to Hasu or order to go and enjoy!
