There are not enough words to share how much my family loved everything! It was worth waiting on a long train, getting lost and then finally finding this perfect spot.
The food was amazing! But the company was even better. We enjoyed everything about this place including the great owner, the friendly customers and the cool bathrooms. What a great find!

I've walked by the place multiple times whilst in Railroad Square, often during the day and wondered, "What is going on in that place?" Well last Friday I found out. Absolute magic is happening within the tiny place attached to the outdoor beer garden. The moment I walked in the smell was absolutely mouthwatering, and the place was packed which is always a good sign. I heard they had sausages that they make in house and grill up to order, so I knew what I was going to order before I even looked at a menu. I was in no way disappointed. Even with the big crowd my girlfriend and I both got our food within 20 minutes of being there, the sausage was the best I've ever had. Cooked to perfection and unbelievabley tastey. Came on a great bun that was also very fresh, but the sausage was the Belle of the ball. My girlfriend had the original which was downright fantastic in taste and texture. I had the special that they were offering, which on this night was a spicy jalapeño and onion blend. I have no words to describe how tasty and perfectly blended the ingredients were. These people know what they're doing and the owner was bringing out every order himself. He was incredibly nice and helpful, always stopping by each table in the beer garden to make sure everyone was completely satisfied with what they had ordered, and always apologetic for the wait time, which I assured him was not a big deal at all, unless you're going to McDonald's it is expected to wait on your food for at least 15-20 minutes, and as I said they were super busy. Phenomenal experience all around. I will be a repeat customer. Oh great, now I'm craving sausage again!
Love Pete and his meat! Sausage is great and the macaroni and cheese is addicting. A great place to go, with wonderful atmosphere and live music too.

The original sausage was so tasty I had to resist smacking the table with delight. The pulled pork with slaw and banana peppers was delicious too. Cucumber salad and mac n cheese, both yummy. My only regret was not being able to ALSO try the meatball sub. I can't wait to visit again from Jax, FL!
Had the spicy sausage, can't decide if I love the sausage or the bun more because they're both delicious. Get the mac n' cheese you will not regret it. The owner is very friendly.
My usual order...pulled pork sandwich topped with cole slaw and a side of cuke salad. My favorite comfort food! So fresh and tasty! Plus, the owner is awesome. Definitely give the Crum Box a try!!

Wow, this may very well be the best food in Tally! The location is super cool too...but that macaroni and cheese is to DIE for! I had it for the first time yesterday and literally dreamed about it. Yum!
The place has very nice owners and staff. The atmosphere is outstanding and the food is amazing. I highly recommend it!

I love hanging out here! It feels like my living room, if my living room had live bands and comedians. I haven't even eaten here yet, but it smells soooo delicious. I will update my review when I chow down on some grundage!
The pulled pork sandwich was super delicious. I added coleslaw on sandwich and it paired perfectly with the pulled pork. Ordered side of Mac and cheese which was also tasty. Wife enjoyed her black bean sandwich. I will definitely try more choices from his menu
The Crum Box Gastgarden is a great reason to quit vegan! (Though their chipotle/black bean veggie burger might be reason enough to start) Enjoyed their delicious annual Valenswine’s Day Jerk Sausage special with pineapple salsa and mango mustard drizzle and a side of Mac n cheese! Owner makes everyone feel like his personal guest so come for the food and stay for the outdoor dining, live music on First Fridays and their comedian-hosted Cards Against Humanity game nights! It’ll be the best thing you’ve ever eaten out of an abandoned train car - I promise!
This was our first time visiting the Crum Box. It is a locally owned restaurant! The atmosphere is so cool with the old train Caboose as the kitchen. Pete, the owner, we kind. He came out and chatted with us. The food had amazing flavor! We will definitely be coming back to dine there again.
Loved the sausage! Amazing flavor. Really wanted the meatballs but out. Guess we'll be making another trip back. Owner talked with us for a few. Super cool place.

The food was phenomenal, we were expecting smaller portions for the price and were happily surprised at how mounted the sandwiches came. The meatball sub was cheaper AND better tasting than the one we usually get at Firehouse.
To the speciality sandwich we added jalapenos and more sauteed onions as our topping and it was beyond words delicious. I'm not a big fan of spice for the sake of spice, but the sausage had such a good flavor profile than just being spicy that I kept going back for more knowing it'd hurt.
I wasn't a big fan of the Mac N' Cheese but it's probably just a me thing- my partner loved it just as much as everything else. It wasn't bad by any means, but when put next to such good entrees it fell into the background.
The general atmosphere was also very welcoming. The way the space is utilized is so well thought out!!! Inside is a smaller portion of the shop where you place your order, a few small tables if you need to sit & breathe in the air-conditioning, and then a bigger outside seating area with benches & an awning for shade and rain cover. With a light breeze the area is very enjoyable to sit, eat, laugh, and people-watch. The recycling tubs next to the trash cans was also a nice touch that I appreciated seeing!!
Killer little place! Amazing sausage sandwich! I washed it down with a cold beer and all was perfect. It's a cool little stop for a bite whether your just looking to eat or you're touring the city. Pete, the owner, made our meal himself and was incredibly hospitable and welcoming. The Crum Box Gastgarden will be a stop for me every time I'm in Tallahassee.
Delicious sausage, not greasy, and loved the meatball sub. The special bottled fruit sodas were amazing too.
So, so yummy!!! We found this place while staying across the street at the Hyatt. Lucky us! Part of a trendy neighborhood, this place serves killer food! We will definitely stop here again next time we're in Tallahassee!!
Do you like sausage? Do you like hanging out? Why aren't you eating here then?! Get over here, the sausages are always amazing, there's super friendly atmosphere, and outside covered seats.

Eclectic sandwich shop in the artsy section of Tally. Food is a solid with home made sausage (get it with sauerkraut & raw onion). Funky interior with the kitchen located inside an old caboose. Small interior but large outside area.
The Box has some funky hours so always best to give them a call first. Recently went and customer service was fantastic!
Overall, highly recommended.
