Having been to both Japan and South Korea, this place blends both cultures seamlessly. The food is always great and the staff are beyond nice! I highly recommend this place to all my friends!
Good food and excellent service. Request for Yoon as your server.
Started eating at the location in Brandon since 2007 and now enjoying the second location off of Kennedy both are great. It is very hard to find a good Korean restaurant in this area, but this is the best!!!!
Great place to get some good sushi and a nice restaurant! Definitely recommend
Love this restaurant! We have always gone to the Brandon one but so excited this one has better drink choices! Wish the Brandon one had liquor like this one does. Now I can have my favorite drink with my favorite food!
I've had the same server twice now and she was amazing. Helped our table decide on what would be great sushi for us. Never a bad experience here. Food is fast and great and service is always excellent!
The service was a little slow the last two times we went (the servers were very nice, though), but the sushi completely makes it worth it! Still had to gave 5 stars, they have the BEST sushi in Tampa! Everytime we go I always get the Mt Fuji roll, and then I switch up my second roll everytime to try something new. They have a large selection of rolls and every one so far has be delicious!
Great service very capable staff. Delicious food. From start to finish great experience.
They have sooooooo many different rolls and we ordered 6 rolls to go and all were great. Fresh tasting and well seasoned rice so the balance of fish, rice and other components is just right. The staff was very helpful and polite.
Absolutely amazing place, I come here for lunch a lot and it's fast, well priced, and delicious. Would have lunch here every day if I could
Awesome & amazing to me the best sushi around staff was great also.....

The bartender on Thursday nights will literally change your life. The sushi is on point. Nothing will ever be the same after you leave this building.
Great food, great service! I really enjoyed the veggie and sweet potato rolls. My boyfriend said the volcano and lightning rolls were some of the best he's ever tried.
We were in town for the weekend and came here for dinner both nights because the Korean was so good the first night and we wanted more! Best Korean food we have found anywhere, great sushi too. We will be back as soon as we can get back to Tampa!
Excellent! Highly recommend! We'll definitely be back soon..

Went for sushi in the SOHO area and found this recently opened sushi establishment. Parking was easy since it was a Sunday but, I can tell if this place was busy it could be a headache.
Our party of 4 were seated quickly with menu's (2 of them) in hand and drink orders taken. We started with green tea and water.
We started with crab rangoon which were good but needed more "crab". We ordered sushi rolls called the screaming orgasm, mount fuji, tropicana and the dream roll. They were all very good except the dream roll which was just bland. The other were so good we ordered them again.
While having some of the best sushi ever in Tampa we ordered saki and had no idea what we were getting so it was just okay nothing we would do again. We then ordered some drinks off their drinks menu (specials) and they were not done correctly. So we will not do that again.
The service was great, the food for the most part excellent, good location and easy to find. The only so-so things were the drinks from the bar, saki and crab rangoon. Would definitely go back again and recommend!
Great place. Sushi is as good as the "other two" top notch south tampa sushi restaurants, but the beer, wine and spirits list is very nice--way above other sushi restaurants.
We have lived up the street from this place for over a year and only just came here a few weeks ago. I really wish we would've come sooner! The sushi is fire! Great service, too. The spicy crunchy tuna roll is awesome, and we've gotten it every time we've been so far (three times in less than a month). Gorilla roll is insane, huge, and delicious. Can't wait to hit up the Korean menu!
Their servers are always giving great energy. I personally believe they have some of the best staff I have seen in a restaurant. The food is always amazing and the drinks are really good. The volcano and Godzilla rolls are so good, highly recommend. I have only had sushi here and my wife and I get 5 rolls every time we go.
My service was friendly and quick. I ordered the lunch special. It came with two rolls and a soup. Everything was delicious! My ice tea glass was always full, and I was given a to-go cup. They serve Korean food here as well. Overall, this was a nice din8ng experience.
I live in the Citrus Park area of northwest Tampa, and sometimes during the weekend or week I spend some time in South Tampa by my friend's house. She's been raving about Sushi Ninja to me for awhile, but I'm always hesitant because I have the autoimmune Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, and anything with soy like soy sauce is out of the question.
But today I finally looked at the menu and said why not, as long as I could get something that suited me. My friend got the Mexican Markimono & Paradise rolls, and I got the shrimp dinner. However I explained my soy allergy to Ron and he worked with me to have the shrimp and broccoli cooked without teriyaki sauce....and it came out perfect. The shrimp were nice and tender, the broccoli steamed al dente, and the sticky rice was delicious.
Chloe came by many times to make sure everything was correct, she was super sweet, attentive, and a great conversationalist.
My food was so good that when I took my leftovers, I was able to re-cook it tonight with soy-free Coconut Aminos teriyaki sauce and ginger 🍤🍛 and the sweet and green tea's were refreshing as well 🍵
I'm definitely a fan now!
Best wishes 😎

First time I eat at Sushi Ninja and thought it was really good. I liked the food and service was good. It’s a Monday night and I’m sure it gets busier during the weekend but I definitely recommend it!
This place is a little unassuming as it is in a strip mall with a gym and nail salon. Don’t let that be a reflection of the food. This is my go to sushi place in Tampa. The sushi is fresh, the portions are large and the service is always good.
Hi, It’s Stephen again
I have visited Sushi Ninja and here what I can say
Food 🥘
Amazing variety of sashimi really impress me with its tender and freshness in each piece. Personally, I like the fried head shrimp as well as sweet shrimp sashimi as I love to feel the sweetness and great texture of the shrimp itself.
I also tried the Korean dish along with the full meal of sashimi, its name is Doen jang Chigae. I can describe it over the spicy taste kick in for creating the explode flavor of tofu & tasty soup base.
Service 🙏
The assigned waitress was very hospice to me and provide the 5/5 overall service to my table. Thanks!
Atmosphere 😶🌫️
The lounge table is great and spacious to enjoy a big meal. The theme of the restaurant has a dark theme and many similarities like other restaurant within Tampa.
Definitely a go-to spot for many people. I love how you can get sushi and Korean food at the same time. Every time I go, the food is consistent, fresh, and the staff is helpful with any ingredient substitutions. The wait for dinner can vary on party size, I realize, and there’s a nice room for larger parties. I think calling aha was and making a reservation is worth it. Parking is available in their side and back lot.
Great sushi! Service was nice. The inside was pretty nice. Definitely recommend the lightning roll.
Tried out this little place with my daughter today as we both wanted some sushi. If you're not looking for it, you could definitely drive right past it.
It is most definitely worth stopping in for a roll or two though. We were seated very quickly, everything was very clean (even the bathrooms), and our waiter was super friendly and helpful.
Our food was brought out to us in a very timely manner and everything was absolutely delicious. We tried 3 different rolls and loved each of them.
We now have another favorite place.
My partner and I are sushi lovers! We moved out to Tampa about 7 months ago and we’ve tried a handful of sushi restaurants. This place is top tier! I was hesitant at first because it’s so hard to find good sushi but wow. It was so delicious we had the buccaneers roll, rock & roll, and fire roll I believe.
I mean the buccaneers one was my favorite..if you’re into cream cheese then that’s the one you need to get. Rock & roll is spicy which is in my taste buds and had different types of seafood. The fire roll wasn’t my favorite but still good! We also got gyoza..they were soo fresh and crispy! Melt in your mouth ugh perfection. This is the only place I’m coming to from now on!
Absolutely delicious sushi. The best I’ve had in Tampa. The portions of sashimi are huge and delicious. Fish is fresh. Volcano roll is the best with the baked fish on top. Service is usually really good with conscious steps of service. Bring people here when they are in from out of town. First time we visited it did take awhile to get the kimchi pancake so we cancelled the order but other than that, amazing! Have been here 3 times and plan to be back!
First time eating here, won’t be my last! The hostess said there was a 25 minute wait which was fine. We sat a high top table and hot a drink from the bartender. He was friendly and welcoming then we got seated in a booth. To start I had a ginger salad and Miso soup, both were excellent. We ordered the Okay roll and some kind of tuna roll, I forgot the name of it. Omg they were both awesome, probably some of the best sushi I’ve eaten. Definitely go check it out. I will be back
We went early for dinner. So it was pretty empty for a Friday. The inside is lovely, a little dark. We were seated and you can choose from either the sushi menu or Korean menu. There is also, a happy hour Monday-Friday 3-6. The menu is extensive and varied. A lot of the sushi rolls have cream cheese.
There was only a single server and while it wasn't incredibly busy, service was a little slow.
That being said... the food was awesome!! We ordered some off the Korean menu and kimchi as well as a sushi roll. We asked for spicy and the flavor was perfect.
The sushi was perfectly constructed with fresh ingredients.
Charles was awesome in how he waited on us and gave great recommendations. Place was clean and they have small chop sticks that fits perfect for me.
