The best Cuban food outside of Havana. A favorite of locals that has been here in Tampa for a very long time. The food is outstanding...especially the pork. Try the pork with rice and beans. You get enough food for 2-3 additional meals and the prices are very reasonable. Don't miss this one!

They have undoubtedly THE best Cuban Sandwich I've ever eaten... and I've been eating them since 1979. Pipo's is a Tampa Bay icon!

I have visited Pipos for 25 yrs, at their former place on Waters and Dale Mabry in the 90's, and now on Hillsborough 1 mile west of Tampa International Airport. I love their roast pork/rice and beans. Everything is great. This is a Tampa standby, no doubt. Great pressed Cubans too.....

When it is time for a milanesa steak, it's time for Pipo's. Love the steak, love the yellow rice and love the fried plantains. At lunch time it was $8.95. More food than I can eat. Man-handled the steak and plantains. Cannot beat the value and quality. Wish I lived closer.

The black rice and beans were so flavorful, the baked chicken was good not as seasoned as it could have been but good sweet plantains were good sweet and soft! I wish they would of had a potato salad or macaroni salad as an option it would have enhanced the meal. Over all I enjoyed it as take out.

Had to go to Tampa today and took the opportunity to eat at one of my favorite OLD time restaurants. Been eating at Pipo’s since it opened in 1979! The food never fails to be delicious and comforting, especially on a rainy day like today. If you’re ever over this way I highly recommend stopping in and having some good authentic Cuban 🇨🇺 food. Sorry about the pictures I dove in before I thought to take any. 🙄Homemade Deviled Crab 🦀 , Black Bean 🫘 Soup, Yellow rice 🍚 , Ox 🐂 tail, Plantains 🍌 (the best I’ve ever had anywhere) and Garbonzo Bean 🫘 Soup. YUM, YUM and YuM!

Always good food and in large portions. Very good value! This visit they must have been short of staff. Longer wait than usual to choose our food, even though there was not a line. Also, every unoccupied table was covered in dishes. Nowhere to sit and eat until we went to the cashier and told her every table was dirty. Fairly quickly a lady came out and cleared a table for us. We always enjoy the food at Pipo's, However on this day they were struggling to keep up. This experience won't have any effect on our returning again soon.

FANTASTIC! Food is delicious! Staff is polite. Location is convenient. Been visiting 20+ years and never an issue. New owners seem to have invested in making the location nicer inside & out! Pork/rice = yum! Cuban with pork is really good. Ice-T is fairly priced and good. Note: parking in rear is super convenient. Exiting via Hillsborough Ave is not always easy. Pro tip = you can exit from the rear parking lot but just go slow (see pics). The accent Apple & Samsung Pay and more which makes checking out easy!

Very good Cuban food. Staff is bilingual which is very convenient and helpful. There is no waiting service. You take a tray at the door and let the staff at the counter know which dishes you’d like. Very popular spot for local Cubans.

100% without a doubt the absolute best Cuban sandwich I’ve had in the Tampa area. My girlfriend and I live in Palm Harbor so our choices are slim. We have to go to the airport today so we decided to stop by Pipo’s for lunch after noticing the reviews. The Cuban sandwich was mind blowing. My girlfriend who barely eats, ate the entire thing. I had the lechón with Moro. Perfectly cooked and it melted in my mouth.

I placed a delivery order , the free delivery fee caught my eye ! I have had their food before and loved it. We ordered ropa vieja, black beans and rice ,plantains , shredded chicken over yellow rice and black beans. A stuffed potato and Spanish bean soup. A lot of food for a great price. And it was very delicious, my son thought the soup was a little watery but only complaint. It arrived a lot faster than the original time designated.

A buddy of mine invited me to this place that he has been going since a young man. He is a Cuban who knows his food! Pipo's is a great Cuban restaurant, very affordable for a family outing. Great portions, and the flavors are authentic, coming from my 60+ year old Buddy! Don't believe him, go for yourself. If you know you know!

This place is amazing. The prices seemed too low to be quality but it's some of the best cuban I've ever had. I ordered like 50 dollars worth, for delivery, with tip and that's like 5 meals worth of food. Do the roast pork and tostones for sure!

There's not many places left where you can still get lunch for under $8. Two Cuban sandwiches under $15 you can't really beat it. I love the cafeteria style buffet line you can just pick whatever looks good. I suggest getting the Cuban sandwich. It's pretty much the best deal in town. And they cut it the way that makes it taste better. It's been a staple in the community for years and the food hasn't gone downhill. The prices have hardly even gone up.

Authentic Cuban food. Excellent sandwiches. Call ahead for drive through. These actually have roast pork unlike other places around here. They add lettuce and tomatoes unless you specify. Not something I'm fond of on any cuban.
