Went for a weekend getaway for Memorial Day weekend. We got seated right away right next to the water with a great view. Great atmosphere. The waitress was really great and everything we asked for recommendations, she did a great job and we liked everything she recommended. The chicken B.L.A.T is on point! A must have! Will definitely go back next time I'm in town!
I had lunch at the outside bar yesterday with a couple of buddies. Our meals were all fantastic and our cocktails were even better. Our bartender, Brittany, was super attentive and outstanding at her job. We mentioned that we were a little cold sitting there and she had a heater brought our and placed by us. Every drink we had was handmade and a work of art. I highly recommend American Social!
Love this place! The staff is amazing, drinks are incredible, atmosphere is inviting, food is delicious, and the people are very social. The only thing that could be improved is the attitude of the security staff. They walk around acting like they are security for some sort of racially charged mob riot and make everyone uncomfortable. They should calm down, blend in, and be more consistent with the atmosphere of the AmSo culture. Is there is an incident that happens, they'll have plenty of time to look like tough guys and save the night!

Great crowd yesterday for the Gasparilla finale. The Waitresses are hot, food was good, the drinks were great.. the group that I was hanging with was wonderful.. special mention to Mark Urbanski. Standing next to Bob Buckhorn was fun even though he's a Dem. Lol. Seeing the Pirates leave until next year was fun. �
Enjoyed several apps with friends; the deviled eggs & meatball sliders were a crowd favorite!
Also enjoyed the Rhiskey Pineapple and Maui Mimosa - both were well made and paired well with our samplings.
Ended the meal with a slice of cake large enough to feed 4!
Great experience and highly recommend for groups!
The setting and service make American Social so special. The combination of the sports bar format with the monitors everywhere plus a live DJ is an original concept. We were a large group and thankfully we made reservations because that place was packed. It was brunch time. Noisy atmosphere but enjoyable. The service was on point; our server was great and so patient with the difficult members of the group. And the food looked great. Mine was delicious; I had the Wide Awake Steak and Eggs. Highly recommended.

This was our first dinner in Tampa, and man it didn't disappoint. This place was recommended by my niece and nephew who spoke highly of it. It was a Saturday night and immediately the environment and presence was felt. Multiple bars within the restaurant are located inside and outside. UFC, sports, and boxing PPV fights on all TVs. The restaurant sits right on the water and gives a great view of the bay. Servers were friendly and offered suggestions to the food and drink menu's, with a large drink menu they offer something for everyone. We wanted seafood, so I ordered the sea food tacos with fried shrimp. It came with 3 tacos that were loaded with large shrimp. On the side, I ordered the ranch wedges, which are highly recommended! My girlfriend ordered the Mahi Mahi burger blackened, which was dripping in juices and packed with flavors! My niece and nephew went with the cheese pizza, which they said "was very cheesy and gooey." Also pictured is the smash burger and goat cheese salad. This place was a great atmosphere and food was delicious. Definitely recommended!
This past weekend I hosted my engagement party at AMSO. Bella and Nicole made my booking and planning experience wonderful. They were always available for questions I had up until our event took place. The night of the event, Josh was the event manager on site and was a big help! He even assisted us clean up our decor at the end of the night. The bartender we had was quick to make drinks and cleanup tables and hightops we had out. Our food was awesome! We had the shrimp cakes, sassy pigs in a blanket, sliders & goat cheese balls. The whole team made our event a blast and run super smooth. Thank you AMSO team!!! I totally recommend AMSO for events large or small :)

Tampa Bay Restaurant Week. American Social. Located on Harbor Island, this place has a bar vibe and casual dinner vibe combined. A huge and crowded indoor bar as well as a huge outdoor bar and dining area with a waterfront view. Prix-Fixe menu $35 for a 3 course meal.
The food surprised me because it was so good. The Loaded Guac, had great textures and flavors. The Seared Scallops were superb, amazing flavor and the rice bed they rested on was complex, textured and had a divine carrot puree hidden beneath. Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter offered up a happy ending.
The toughest part is getting in and out in that busy and often chaotic environment. The staff are not much help as it seems they can only give out one piece of information per visit or call.
Here is what you need to know. The restaurant offers free validated parking. As soon as you arrive enter the underground parking area. Try to park near the spiral staircase as it is very close to where you need to be. Take your parking ticket to the restaurant for validation. When leaving, scan your ticket before going to your car. That's it.
Jason was amazing! He set up 2 umbrellas for our table which was really nice to keep shade outside. Also amazing food!!! Some of my fav apps are deviled eggs and spinach and artichoke dip!! Thank you AMSO
Whitney is awesome. The grilled octopus and pork belly tacos are the best I've ever had. Highly recommend when you're in town.
Attended a Birthday party. Great view of downtown Tampa and waterway. Food was pretty good. Pretzels were very good. Employees were great! Parking is expensive!
We stopped here after a conference for a dinner. We sat outside on the water. There was a section closed for a private event but seating was plentiful. Our server was very friendly and service was quick. We ended up getting appetizers and they were phenomenal. The goat cheese croquettes were creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The portion was large enough for two. The hummus platter is mostly pita and a very large portion. We didn't finish it. The soft pretzels were absolutely delicious with a flavorful honey mustard dip and a cheese dip I didn't really eat. Prices were okay and we had such a lovely meal we ended up going back the next night.
The food was amazing, I got the social smash burger, and I swear they must put crack in their fries cause they were so good. the waiters were all really nice. it was very loud, but I guess that's what you get in a nice restaurant on the tampa bay. 5 stars

We ended up enjoying our food. However- we were t greeter or brought water for quite some time. Then we just felt like we were pushed off in our server. Has to ask twice for salt- took forever/ the place is BUSY- covered in people so they’re not especially concerned with your dining experience. That said the goat cheese salad and omelette were both good.
The omelet was great and the drinks were tasty. The guac was “ok” but needed more flavor. The place was super crowded and there were a few service blips but we still enjoyed the visit. Would go back for sure.
I often come to this place for drinks, but today was my first time eating here. We sat at an outdoor table with an amazing view of the channel. The live music playing was great too. The service was fast and attentive. I chose a pinot noir to drink, and it had a fantastic flavor. However, I was a bit disappointed with my burger because I asked for it to be cooked medium rare, but it was cooked medium well. The fries, on the other hand, were really tasty with their well-seasoned seasoning. The next time I come back, I'll try something different from the menu.
