Definitely give them a try. We have been Delicious & great service. No complaints! My little one/ 10yo loves the California roll, Edamame & plain white rice. Personally, I think the Volcano Roll is delicious. The Eel sauce is a little sweet, but perfect pairing! Considering customer service is lacking and sub-par these days, it is very nice to receive excellent service. We were very fortunate to have Allen as our waiter. He is very knowledgeable & extremely polite. We took our time ordering. He did not rush us at all. Casual & business attire seems acceptable. The environment was relaxing & comfortable.

Edamame w sea salt and sesame oil added was a nice touch. Shrimp fried rice was good but I would have loved it if the wok was scorched to create more of a burnt taste. Jasmine tea was good. Spicy tuna with avocado minus the mango was spot on. But the icing on the experience was Devan?, our server, he was spot on. Will be back again. Good job Sakana! 👍👍👍

Up until today I only did carry out here, overall I was pleased with the food. Had dinner here on a Friday night, the food and service was great. The only thing I would recommend is a light jacket, it was a little chilly where I was seated. Other than that I would highly recommend Sakana Sushi!

Excellent sushi!!! Out of all the sushi places I have tried from Tampa to NYC (I lived in NYC for 25 years), this earns the crown. I went here multiple times already and the food is always exceptional and always fresh.

My husband and I go to sakana once’s a week for date night. The food is amazing. By far the best sushi in the area. The staff is always great. They are helpful for new customers and old. Just hosted my grandma’s 90th birthday there and it was fantastic. It’s a great atmosphere. Everyone loved it. Believe me once you’ve ate here you’ll keep coming back.

I stopped at lunch while running errands near-by. I have been to 80% of sushi restaurants in Tampa. I SHOULD have been here! The lobster roll I ordered was beyond foodgasmic. FRESH, the lobster, the tuna, avocado, all sublime. Service; friendly and quick, establishment; welcoming and quaint. I wish I took a better pic, but was expecting a typical to-go roll. I cannot wait for a real dinner here!

By far the best sushi in S Tampa. I personally love Jen the bartender as she’s always been very accommodating. Jen honestly brings a level of service that is hard to find at any restaurant/bar environment. FYI if she’s working then that’s when I’ll go. Thanks Jen for the level of service you have provided in the past and your on going effort to always provide a balanced bar experience to the customers you support.
