Wow! This eloquent restaurant impresses as soon as you walk into the door and it doesn't stop till the last bite of a perfectly crafted dessert. The duck breast just melts in your mouth and the buttermilk Blue Crab appetizer was so unique in presentation as well as texture. The cocktails are well crafted and refreshing. The bourbon list was fantastic. There is free parking in a garage across the street if you can't find a spot on the street. Service was spectacular and attentive to everything we needed. This is by far one of the hidden gems of the downtown Tampa area. You want fancy and worth the cost of an exquisite fine dining experience? This is your place.

Raw oysters, great choice of appetizers, venison for main dish, very spacious, calm restaurant. Cherry chocolate dessert was soo good, highly recommend!

This was a lovely dining experience. It has become one of my favorite restaurants in the Tampa Bay area. I got the rack of lamb, which was very good. I would pass on the calamari next time. I tried some of the seafood pasta, and it was good as well. The lemon sauce emulsion for the bread was my favorite thing there! The dessert was very good. The menu prices might be on the higher end, but the quality, ambiance, service, and vibe make it worth trying.

This was my first time trying out this restaurant. I have been wanting to try rack of lamb for a while. The presentation, texture, and flavor on the molasses pecan crusted rack of lamb was incredible. I was also impressed with the oysters and korean argentina red shrimp crab pancake. The service was superb and ambience comfortable.

I saw Mise en Place years ago and my husband made reservations for us to dine there for date night. The experience was incredible! The food was exceptional and was the best food I have ever eaten! The ambience was upscale with very chic and modern decor. All of the waitstaff were beyond attentive with our water glasses never hitting below half. The manager even came by to check on our experience which was thoughtful and lovely. I cannot recommend this restaurant any higher because they hit every mark and beyond. They even offer free parking directly across the street.

My husband brought me here for Mother's Day so they had a special Mother's Day menu laid out. We had a three-course meal and it was divine. The braised short rib was my favorite along with the cheesecake. We were trying to take a selfie before we left and this young man said, No I have the perfect spot for you and he took our picture in a beautiful wine room. I loved the decor. I will definitely be returning. Kudos to my hubby for planning this all by himself.

The encounter was amazing! It was the best cuisine I've ever eaten, and the food was amazing! The design was ultra-chic and futuristic, creating an elite atmosphere. Our water glasses never fell below half thanks to the exceptional attention to detail provided by the wait staff.

We went for the first time earlier this year but left a bit disappointed. Presentation, flavor and service were all pretty good but none were outstanding. The lamb was great but the tofu dish was very bland. I felt that it had less of an anniversary dinner vibe and more of a business execs going to dinner vibe. It didn't help matters that they completely overhauled their menu two days before our meal and many of the dishes I was eyeing ahead of time were missing in action. I would give it another try at some point, but not in a hurry.

Chef Marty, Maryann and the team hav3 been feeding me Mise en Place for 25 years. Consistently among the best restaurants in Florida. Great food, wine, cocktails and service. Marty was the first local chef to open a gourmet chef:driven market & eatery but it was too early for Tampa. The two have been a positive force for local, small businesses, helping their employees grow their careers into other roles and likely far more positive things to recount here. Highly recommend! Located across the street from University of Tampa.

This was my first time at mise en place and it did not disappoint. I had the Korean Argentina shrimp crab pancake. It was very tasty but also pretty spicy. The smoked salmon carpaccio was my favorite appetizer. I had the venison for my entree and it was very very good. The grits and kale on the side also paired well with the venison. The s'mores tart dessert was delicious. The marshmallow on top tied the dish together really well. The graham cracker ice cream sounds weird but I think it was pretty good. It tasted exactly like a graham cracker. All in all, as a first experience, it was an amazing time and I would highly recommend going there

This place is so fabulous. The menu changes often but the service is always impeccable. My husband and I just went and enjoyed the smoked salmon carpaccio, scallop appetizer, duck and venison. The cocktails are also fantastic! One of the best in Tampa.

We had a FANTASTIC meal and dining experience. My boyfriend and I dined at Mise en place for the first time on a Friday evening. The decor and atmosphere was inviting. I highly recommend the fried green tomato salad to start. The mise burger was absolutely delicious, taste wise and presentation. I was not a fan of the bread offerings to start, but appreciate the offerings! Service was on point, we really enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be back.

Stellar French modern experience, great food and delicate flavor profiles. We had a seasonal soup last winter that was incredible - can’t find a photo but so rich and balanced but outrageous flavor. The crusted rack of lamb and scallops were fantastic also!

As always we enjoy our time at one of Tampa's elite dinning experiences. Chef Marty never disappoints and the staff is skilled and knowledgeable. We started with the stuffed zucchini blossoms and Korean Shrimp crab pancake. So unique, delightful. We had the Scallops, Cavatelli, Duck and Venison. All excellently prepared and presented.

We tried about everything on the menu and everything was absolutely amazing! Their menu changes weekly but the lamb stays! I highly recommend it! Service was amazing as well. The environment is very nice and calm we were sitting in the back with an amazing view of the University of Tampa. It was our 8th Year Anniversary and the staff went out of their way to provide champagne and custom desserts for us without even saying anything.

This site is amazing. The food changes frequently, but the service is consistently excellent. We recently went and had smoked salmon carpaccio, a scallop starter, duck, and venison. Also great are the beverages! one of Tampa's top restaurants.

Wow! How do I start.... the establishment was very clean and beautiful! It was a little confusing on which door was the entrance but not terrible difficult (could have been my fault because of where I walked up). Just pay closer attention and you will be fine. The service was absolutely insane! The group of servers tending to our party were very professional but super real! I loved that they took such good care of us and were so helpful to everyone (we were quite needy throughout the evening). This was my first time visiting and was here with a bride and groom for the rehearsal dinner. Great place for a group event! They handled ours very well. The food was amazing, from the appetizers to the dessert, I did not hear anyone complain about the food at all. I must say... the creme brulee was amazing! Definitley looking forward to my next visit!
