I brought my babe there for dinner tonight(4/4/18). The place is nicely furnished and welcoming. Our server was Amanda. She was attentive but not intrusive. We each had the Churrasco. We both love Churrasco and have had it at many restaurants in the US. This was definitely the best I have ever had. Very tender and juicy. Perfectly cooked. The portion was very generous. We were full and didn't have dessert. I am a very tough critic and rarely have a meal that I dont have some issue with. 5 stars all the way. Thank's for an amazing meal Renzo's Carrollwood.
Had the steak churrasco with fried yucca. Steak was so tender and juicy. Very flavorful. Chimichurri and yucca was fresh. I didn't have room in my stomach for desert. Will have to go back for desert sometime. Service was excellent. Reasonable prices.
Martin is the best waiter. The food is amazing you won’t be disappointed.
Great little place!!! The food was just made to perfection. Since it was our first time there, our waiter explained the specials, and best sharing options. I really enjoyed it
the food very very delicious and 2nd thing one of the most yummy restaurant in tampa if you looking for beef or ribs the price is reasonable the services is nice and they cook the beef fresh and it take time to be ready and the dish we order it ..its good for 2 person to share easily even if you guy’s hungry…enjoy must try it
Renzo's is an exceptional Venezuelan restaurant that truly impressed me with its delightful cuisine and top-notch service. Rocio G’s exceptional attentiveness and warm demeanor made my dining experience truly memorable. From the moment I arrived, she guided me through the menu with insightful recommendations, ensuring that every dish I tried was a flavorful journey through the vibrant flavors of Venezuela. Renzo's cozy atmosphere and Rocio G’s outstanding service create the perfect combination for an unforgettable dining experience. Would have given 5 stars if not for the Tres Leches. It was not homemade and had a strange flavor. Tasted like it had been frozen and thawed over night.
Enjoyable atmosphere. Food and service excellent. Great sangria. Also celebrated birthday here. Thank you!
The place for meat. This Venezuelan restaurant specializes in meats in many of its forms. They even age some of their beef on premesis. The other passion here is wine. Both are moderate to pricey, fine dining kinda money. Whenever your up for a hearty beef dinner give this place a whirl. We always leave content and full.
I ordered the Churrasco (Skirt) cooked medium. It was a very nice portion and cooked perfectly. After my first bite I knew this was not American beef by the texture. They told me it was imported from their country. I prefer the American beef myself but that's something each person should decide for themselves. I enjoyed a glass of red wine with the meal that paired perfectly. They have family sized meat combination plates that I enjoyed once with my son the carnivore on his birthday.
Dinner for 2 got appetizers and a platter of meat. Got busy before we left, no wait when we arrived. Everything was cooked properly. Not overwhelmed by flavor but a good meal and nice service. Great value for the $.
Food was definitely amazing.
The place is quiet and quaint, perfect for a nice quiet dinner.
Their house sangrias are so good, we ordered one each and shared.
Service could be a little better but overall very good. Come on an empty stomach because the Parillas serve an army.
Such great food! The meat was excellent! Similarly, the yuca frita and the other sides were very good! The staff was so nice and the waitress that served us was amazing! We got a lot of food for 5 ppl plus desert and wine. Will go back!
This was our first time here and we made last minute reservations on Open Table. The ambiance was great and it smelled amazing. They do not serve liquor but did have a large selection of wines. We got a pitcher of red sangria and it was well made. We ordered carpaccio and a trio of empanadas to start. The carpaccio was amazing. The table enjoyed the empanadas but I found them a bit salty. My son is nine years old but there was not a children's menu (a con) so we got him beans and rice (also good). My husband and I split the parilla (large selection of meats) which is made for two (see picture) and comes with two sides. It was incredible. We got the russet potatoes (their version of potato salad) and sauted spinach. We also ordered the caprese salad which was excellent and a small palmito salad ( good but could have used a bit more dressing). We had Veronica as our server and she was a delight. She encouraged my father to try his Spanish and was very sweet and helpful. We did wait quite awhile after being seated before anyone came over and then quite awhile for our drinks. This could have easily set the tone for the night but we were patient. I think they must be understaffed.
Overall food and ambiance was great; need a children's menu and add some staff to ensure service is consistent (especially bumped up to other reviews). And ask for Veronica.. she was great.
Food is Delicious and portions are large. Staff is extremely courteous and attentive. We enjoyed appetizers shared around the table to start. Recommend that you do not take a large party during peak periods, We had over ten at 1:15 on Sunday plus take out for several more. Had a bit of a wait for all the servings to come out. Was not an issue for us, all Familia sharing the apps and sampling each others meals. Staff was great and moving very quickly the whole time. Noticed that the outside patio tables were packed, as was the restaurant, since it was the first pleasant weekend in a long time. The food wes well worth the wait. I highly recommend Renzo's for special events or any time you want a wonderful meal with exceptional service. - Rob
We had a great time at Renzo’s for dinner tonight! Our reservations at another restaurant fell through, so we went down the street to Renzo’s for the first time. The staff was super accommodating for our party of six. The food was fantastic and the service was great. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us!
My first experience was great. I have a steak for lunch and it was cooked perfectly and was delicious. No complaints, I will visit again.
Just a great place to meet and eat meat (there's chicken and fish too, if you must). Cool vibe with the music selection, but not loud. Really fine for lunch meetings. Beer, wine and great espresso.
Food was really good and price is very reasonable. First of all, the server (didn't get his name) is a very nice guy, knows everything about the food and the restaurant, very friendly and also generous (gave us free empanada and dessert since it was my Husband's birthday). We had the Renzo's Parilla and all of the meat was tasty and tender. The sangria was really good too! They did not put ice in the pitcher, instead they only put ice in the glasses so you're sure that you paid for a pitcher of sangria not half ice half sangria. Definitely coming back!
