The chicken Patti was great! The jerk wings looked like jerk but didn't have much flavor. Luckily we had a bottle of jerk sauce in the cabinet. The curry chicken didn't have a strong curry flavor either. The pound cake is good.

Thank you so much for letting us order right before you had to close. The food is AMAZING! we had the jerk chicken plate and the jerk pork plate. We enjoyed the pork better unfortunately the chicken was overcooked either way the flavors were on point.👍🏽👍🏽 We will definitely be coming back ❤️

Had a big hankering for some J'can cuisine and was so glad I stumbled onto the little jewel. Here, we found some authentic Jamaican food served up in a small but very clean dining area. I had the oxtail... wow! So much flavor. If you want real Jamaican flavor, look no further! Highly recommended!

We haven’t had much Jamaican food before trying this spot but really enjoyed the curry goat, jerk barbecue chicken, and rum cake. Both entrees were very delicious. The fries were a bit soggy but that can be overlooked given the flavor profile of everything else. There was a variety of selections for drinks with the Jamaican Kola Champagne as my favorite. Small interior, but well lit and appears that locals prefer to order take out instead of dining in. Would definitely come back again to try other menu items next time.

Brooooooooooooooooo!! Absolutely authentic! I travel to Jamaica several times eight in Jamaican food in California Florida Chicago and Detroit. Jerk pit has a unique flavor, Cabbage is refreshing and light yet still packs big favor. Curry goat was absolutely perfect tender suck the meat right off the bones. Plantains for nice touch. Washed it down with a pineapple Jamaican soda. Highly recommend jerk pit for Jamaican food lovers. Marvin was pleasant and patient.

This place was great. The establishment is quaint and seats 32 people. The music fits the culture and vibe while being appropriate. The bathrooms were clean! HALLELUJAH! I ordered the BBQ jerk chicken w/ rice & beans. My husband ordered the regular jerk chicken w/ rice & beans. We shared both and both were equally DELICIOUS. The portion size was good. We would have loved more rice. The chicken was juicy. Presentation was well put together (and all edible praise the Lord!) Wait time for the food was under 15 minutes. The jerk seasoning was great and the rice...seasoned to PERFECTION. Our server was Tracey, she was sweet and very polite. We even got warm sanitizing towels for our hands upon arrival which felt like a spa service. The manager, Aneika, checked on everyone. Overall we had great experience. We highly recommend.

Great place to eat the food is very tasty. Also, try the homemade drinks (passion fruit) 😋. I love ❤️ how the owner was also interactive and pleasant. The staff was just as pleasant. Look no further for a great spot to satisfy your taste buds. Don't forget dessert 😉

Very good food, with perfectly cooked meat, cabbage, and rice. All the flavors though not overbearing were still very delicious. I couldn't stop eating. Every bite of my chicken tasted tender, with the delicious gravy was just really a perfect combination. I wish it came with more cabbage, that's how good it was. I love how it comes with the other fresh veggies. Such a filling and generous sized plate. I have never seen oxtails so large in size. My husband couldn't finish his rice, which normally he has no problem doing. I'm really happy we decided to give this place a try. I'm looking forward to going back, and trying many other things on the menu.

I visited the Tampa area and dined at this restaurant, and I was not disappointed. The food looked just as it did online, and tasted fresh and delicious. I tried the curried shrimp with rice, Simply delicious. The restaurant was very clean and the attendants were friendly. Thanks for the experience.

I went during the lunch special hours. It has been a while since I last ate at this restaurant when I lived in the area and the food still tastes terrific!!! The brown stewed chicken with cabbage rice and peas, and passionade fruit juice were fantastic! The owner Marven was very kind and welcoming. Walked over to the booth I was sitting in while waiting on my order and ask me to text the number that's posted to receive special promotions and offers. The cashier was friendly also. All around great food and customer service!

It's so hard to find a solid Jamaican spot in Tampa, this is the best one hands down. Their roti is great and oxtails are delicious. And they have peanut punch 🥹 which feels foreign unless you stumble upon a Trini spot.

Akeyah is such a pleasure. Pleasant and friendly staff. Great service with the food to match. My fiancé and I got the jerk pork, curry shrimp roti , white rice, vegetables, steamed cabbage, a beef patty, and Jamaican ginger pineapple soda to wash all down. So delicious. I definitely highly recommend! Go today! It’s worth it!

First time at this restaurant visiting from Miami. The best Jamaican food I’ve ever tried. I had the jerk bbq ribs and rice and peas as my main meal. The meat fell right off the bones, the mac & cheese was delicious and the steamed cabbage was awesome. Anika our server was the sweetest, great customer service here. Next time you’re in Tampa, this restaurant is definitely worth a try and worth the wait.
