I have only been here once, but enjoyed the meal. Stepped up bar food, I want to return and try the lamb burger. I applaud their choice to step outside of the box and try some new/different things.I dined with a friend of mine and we both had the burger special. Burgers were very juicy and flavorful and the fries on the side were excellent. I may adjust upward on the value after trying a second time.
A REAL GEM!!!. One of the absolute best burgers around, served on a sourdough bun with bacon, homemade beer cheese, lettuce, onion, and tomato with a side of beer cheese bacon Mac and cheese!!! Now you pair that with one of many craft beers and you have an unreal meal. Over 20 HDTVS to watch all the games, outside tiki bar with full liquor bar, super clean bathrooms and great service. A real hidden gem in carrollwood, do not miss this place.
Close to being very good. As many have mentioned it is a huge upgrade facility wise to the previous O'briens. Very nice decor, well lit and comfortable spacing overall.
Pros- Pretty cool menu and nice selection of beers (couple Cigar City that were quite good). Bartender will give you a taste first which is nice. Anything off the menu with the beer cheese is excellent. One of the better cheesesteaks I have had in a while. Had the beer cheese burger and beer cheese mac and cheese and both were enjoyable.
Cons- Server had ZERO knowledge of beers. She did not know what beers they had, mentioned a list but never brought it and when I ordered a Stout she had no clue what I was I talking about. Heard her having issues with large table behind us as well. Male server seemed better, but overall service was very slow. Also the steak lettuce wraps came with barely any beef...really the amount I would have used on 1-2 wraps. Not a great deal for $12.
Potential for this place is good, if they can get the server situation figured out. I would recommend beer school or at least giving her a list to leave on each table as she has no idea what the bar has.
Great Food and finally: Great Beers!. Past reviews I read on this place made sense. I loved the food here (best Fish & Chips in town!) and the big flat screen TVs all over make this the best looking place around to see my baseball games, but the beer selection wasn't up to par... was sort of a disappointment. Then: Surprise! They doubled the taps on the wall to a couple dozen, and added a TON of beer. Last week, they had Bell's Two Hearted Ale (my fav!) a bunch of Cigar City Brews, some Tampa Brewery brews, some Belgians, and a few small craft USA brewery beers I have never ever heard of before. New bartender guy was even laid back about pouring samples of everything I wanted to check out. Seems like they have all new staff too...which is good (old staff wasn't up to snuff on the beer department). Yeah they still have Budlight on tap somewhere, but hell, the place is in Carrollwood... so they probably have to. I'm just happy I don't have to drive to World of Beer anymore... they don't have food. The only downside I see now is that when I came in the other night it was motorcycle night, and the place was too packed... but I think that's only once a month or every few months or something... aside from that, only place like it in North Tampa.
The perfect gastro pub!!! Food is fresh and local and everytime I've gone (which has been at least 2 times a week) I've never been disappointed. Both inside and outside, I've gotten exceptional service and no matter what time or day (including late christmas eve) I've had nothing but friendly service. The food is SOOO good too! I have yet to have something I havent raved about, and I've tried new things each time. Generally love the atmosphere anddddd only gastro pub in Tampa! Def recommend it!
A Great place with Great people ! ! !. Perfect for drinks at the outside Tiki bar and the food is creative and fresh and tasty.
Went with a Groupon and everyone was still friendly - no Groupon faces or anything ! ! !
Met all the owners - Stephanie and Scotty were VERY friendly and showed us a great time.
The food - we had the chicken and biscuits - like the menu says - Think Pot Pie - EXCEPT - edamame instead of peas and drop biscuits instead of the traditional "crust" . . . it was piping hot, fresh made and an outstanding dish in every way.
Also had the pulled pork as recommended by China, our server - she was fantastic ! Pulled pork was on a toasted bun with slaw and a couple of fresh jalapeno slices. The pork was tender and moist and very well done. Sweet potato fries were fresh and hot and very good.
Our friends had the burger - with bleu cheese - she said it was the best burger she had ever had. He had the PC rueben (pork chop) - he said it was very good - prepared well and presented well.
We started with pretzel bites - they had some garlic and parmesean and fresh rosemary on them, toasted and served with a stone ground mustard with honey (?) - they were excellent as a bread kinda starter.
Also had the beer cheese fondue - comes with fresh made chips and croutons. We aren't huge fondue fans because the cheese is usually pretty bland. That was the case here - it was good, just lacking some punch. Needs some better stinky cheese added to give it a little more flavor !
We would order anything we got again - except maybe the fondue.
It was a great night - good bar selection, outstanding service and atmosphere (there was a party of 20 or so in the same room with us - a graduation party - so that might have helped the atmosphere a bit. Plus karaoke - it wasn't too over the top or anything - not sure if that is a Thursday thing or was for the party or what . . . ) and outstanding food.
Might become a regular hang out for us. Give them a try !
This place is great. Large open area, great craft beer selection on draft and not a bad bottle selection either. They have about 30 drafts and just as many bottles. Lots of TV’s to watch sports. A vast selection of liquors to make good cocktails with. Having been to this restaurant about five times before I like that the menu is constantly changing. Started with a Tampa Bay Brewing Black IPA. Super hoppy and fresh, which is important for an IPA.
It was quite some time ago that we stumbled upon Dale 1891. Actually, not long after it opened if memory serves. We haven't been back since, but after going through our photos and remembering our meal there I can't imagine why, other than the fact that it is a bit of a drive for us.

Love this spot!!! The tropical theme makes me feel like i am on a tropical Island just missing the beach. Great music and the bartenders are very attentive and friendly. I really like the outside patio section.
Quaint little place. Service was great! Very tasty devil crab made with real crab meat. Not crowded at all. There is a Groupon available for this establishment.
Good atmosphere and great drinks. Had some funny comedians but they only have them once a month.
I had a ball. I loved the DJ. My waitress was nice and made good ice teas. My only issue was they ran out of the all u can eat crab legs, but the y gave us a few dollars off our meal . I was satisfied.
Didn't have 2 of the 3 things to eat that I wanted, but this also definitely isn't a place to come and eat. Drinks were good, about average price. Came here to pregame before going to see Rocky horror, and it wasn't a bad place to do it (literally in the same complex as the theater)
