Great varieties of seasoned blue crabs and the garlic potatoes are the best. Not much inside seating best for take out.

This is a small Bay area business. The seafood is cooked to order, so expect to wait. The food is worth the wait, so full of flavor, and you can feel the love when you eat it. You have to try this place if you are in the area you will not be disappointed.

$26.56 for oxtails, rice, cabbage, potato salad and cornbread. Great portion sizes. The cornbread and cabbage were sooo good!

1st time in the area and got a winner. First of all my food wasn't too salty which is a huge plus for me. The collard greens were seasoned very well and again not too salty and cut up at a nice size. I ordered whiting which was good I'd usually don't like as much breading on it but it had a good taste. The wedding came over a yellow rice which had a nice taste to it as well and again not too salty. Besides the collard greens I had a side order of macaroni and cheese. I'm not a huge macaroni and cheese eater but the macaroni and cheese to me was satisfying and good. I am so happy that it wasn't like just a box macaroni and cheese. For me the cornbread was a little dry but acceptable. Overall the store was very clean. I will definitely go back and try it other dishes. The portion that they gave was very good.

By far the best soul food. YOU HAVE TO GO HERE. I got the captains platter, fried shrimp, oysters, catfish, crab, with collard greens and mac and cheese. The seafood was fire and the sides slapped! 10/10.

We wanted to make sure to eat as local as possible while in Tampa. This establishment hit every mark—even better it is both woman and Black-owned—and the food was good as well. The prices are a bit high but for the overall quality of the menu, the cost was understandable, so we didn’t mind paying the price. Just be sure to keep this in mind if you’re a large group. The seafood is a bit higher than most of the other entrees and there is little in the way of seating—a couple booths—as this is mainly a takeout spot. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to this location and would return.

Okay so my husband and I had an oxtails plate each. I got cabbage and he got collard greens. Prices have gone up from what they say and that's fine, it's expected. If you're used to eating oxtails like we are they are worth the price. Anyways, our plate came with rice and cornbread and we both chose Mac and cheese as our side. Everything was good, I'm so used to having peas/beans in my rice from the Jamaican restaurants here in GA, this restaurant's rice didn't come with beans and that's okay. Everything was tasty. No issues. I also got the yams and they are good. Everything was good, we would definitely return.

All the food was wonderful! We got the garlic shrimp pasta, jerk chicken with cabbage and mac, and a seafood platter! The fries could of used some salt and the fried crab was hard to eat, but that's just fried crab! I'll definitely go back. I want to try the oxtail and conch!

Visited here during my visit to Tampa. I was on a quest to find some good fried southern seafood. I called prior to make sure, the lady on the phone told me to come on by. Sure enough, I got a Lyft to try it out. When I arrived I was greeted by the sweet lady I spoke with on the phone. I got the Fisherman’s Platter with the fried sea mullet, shrimp, oysters, and crab. The wait was not long. My platter came out fried golden brown and fresh. I also tried the blue velvet cake. I will defiantly be back to visit whenever I come back to Tampa.

Close to the public library, stopped in for lunch. The Cozy atmosphere and lively staff makes for a great dining experience. The food was delicious, took me back to my mom’s home cooking. Highly recommend!

The cajun butter shrimp & potatoes was really good! The collard greens were seasoned great. They didn't have meat in them. I liked the basa fish, but one piece over bread was $8 no sides. The strawberry lemonade was so good I had to go back for another cup. Customer service was lack luster but the food was good! I tried this black family owned soulfood/seafood spot off MLK in Tampa Florida yes It was #smacktastic. The strawberry lemonade was so bomb that I got 2 cups & one to go! It taste better than chessecake factory strawberry lemonade! Just not $5 a glass 🤭 Mini shrimp boil Collard greens Basa fried fish 🐟 (light &crispy & overpriced) Con's was the lack luster customer service.

This place was well worth the wait!! Took about 35-40 minutes. Food tasted great!! Strongly recommended was the best meal out of my week long trip to Florida. I came back 1 month later and enjoyed more of this wonderful food. The Mac n cheese was bangin!!

We ordered our food and sat down. It was bought out in a carry away trey. We ordered fried chicken with their two sides that was just chicken wings. It was good food but wings is not what was presented. Our daughter had talipia and she enjoyed it. The kicker is the price on the board was no where near what we paid. We still gave a tip and received no service. $57 for 3 people.

Soul Food done right! True hidden gem that needs more recognition — not just talking about the grubs. Definitely will be back, hopefully, soon!
