This was a score! My whole life I drove past this place, and I’ve missed out. 4/5 due to the oily hash browns, after reading the reviews seems like it’s normal! Ordered the mountain lover and it was heavy! Huge portion. The chorizo was good, bacon was good. The red chili was better than green in my opinion, the green had flour in it which is a rare find, not my preference. The inside is small and cozy. Very old school feel. I would eat here again if I had no other option. Ordered to go at about 9am, was offered to dine in which I thought was really nice. We got our food and loaded up, as we were doing so they brought us out our toast they forgot to include. Talk about INCREDIBLE customer service!
What a great place for breakfast!! So good we went twice during the week we vacationed in Taos. The strawberry pancakes were SO good! Light, fluffy and delicious! Second visit I had eggs, bacon, hash browns and a warm tortilla - everything was on point! Locals were very friendly and staff was super attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend!
Really enjoyed our breakfast at Ricky's this morning. This little whole in the wall was such a good choice for a great breakfast. It was full of local clientele when we stopped in, which was a good clue to good food. Service was great, the omlet with green peppers was perfect, pancakes were light and phenomenal. Great breakfast.
The absolute best place to eat in Taos! The service is excellent! The waiters and waitresses are very attentive. The food is brought to you quickly, it is hot, tastes great, and the atmosphere is great. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. I've tried many restaurants in Taos
We had a fantastic breakfast experience here and really enjoyed our interactions with the staff. Of everyone in Taos is this kind and happy I may just have to relocate. Excellent green chile tops a wide variety of perfectly cooked grub. A proud Broncos fan to boot. It seems to me that this is where the locals go. Will return as fast as life allows.
Had the patty melt, was very good made correctly on rye bread. Fries were okay.
Also had some red chili with beans which was good. Sopapilla was good here.
Service was friendly.
Good food. Small, seemingly family run restaurant. The red chile was awesome. The green chile was extremely hot on the day I was there (I was warned by staff when I ordered). Delicious. Friendly.
Our server Jake was amazing!! We took all of his suggestions and probably had one of the best meals we’ve had in a while!
If You want the True Taos Diner experience, or you love The Denver Broncos....Then look no further This Is It!!!!
Have been following Ricky's for more than 30 years at at least three different locations....Finally back in Prado!
Delicious comfort foods, & super chill atmosphere...The best local dive in Taos County Hands down.
Get in here and get full
The good ole times.. they have an open faced Chili Size.. omg. It’s killer…. Ask for Angel !!
Early in the Memorial Day weekend this year I had a major craving for a really satisfying traditional breakfast of coffee, pancakes and bacon. Ricky's delivered. I went with the banana pancakes for added nutrition. The environment was full of friendly faces, families, community. The waitresses were attentive and kind. When you wake up with a particular craving and the manifest is everything you dreamed it would be...that's success. Thank you for a wonderful breakfast, Ricky's.
I love the folks at Ricky’s! Wide menu variety. Excellent ingredients and quality.
Wonderful Cafe! Great people! Met Geronimo's grandson who was passing thru
Totally enjoyed our visit and will definitely go back. Lots of variety on the menu. The sopapillas with delicious local honey were a great start and finish to a delicious meal. We split a meal to make sure and have room to enjoy the sopapillas which was an awesome decision because we both left full and I couldn’t finish my second sopapillas. Definitely going back. Might even have to stop for just the sopapillas as a snack when out on a beautiful ride through the area. Going to get the Indian taco next. If they do fry bread as well as they do sopapillas ... I might need to move closer and join a gym. Lol.
