Really easy convenient. Full and always get good customer service picking it up. so sad that they don't have somebody that understands the culture and difference here but the food they give is really good and i stand by them. get some people in there to help and you would sky rocket. and i don't mean customers i mean get somebody in there that understands everything between the cultures and you could be set. customers would come in with this difference. hope you stay open. love the place. love the culture.
Food is excellent love the wonton soup and the shrimp and potstickers. All the dishes are great! Price is very reasonable. The service has been good at times and not so good at others. It is my families favorite Chinese restraunt.
The general tso and sesame chicken were crispy and very good too. The rice was good as well. Spring roll was great! $28 for two makes it a good deal too.
Drove by this place the other night and decided to get something quick to try. I went with the beef fried rice. The inside of the restaurant smelled amazing and it looks like it's family owned so you know the food is quality. I got it to go as indoor dining is still closed. The beef fried rice tasted amazing and there was plenty to share! Yumm! Can't wait to try other items on the menu soon.
Perfect place for takeout, they have wonderful lunch specials. I believe that if you want to have real good and enjoy a decent meal, this is the place that you should try.
Pearl Express was a pleasant experience. The staff, though small, was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is located in a small business strip plaza which has just a few other businesses and is on the corner of 6200 South at Bangerter Highway. The parking lot, which is not large, is best entered if you are East of Bangerter headed West. The restaurant is on the North side of 6200 South. The restaurant is narrow with seating down the sides and a long table down the center. It was not busy when we first arrived around 1730; but, more people showed up as time went on. There seemed to be as much or more business produced by carry-out as there was dining in. As I said previously the staffing was minimal but they did very well at their juggling act between taking phone orders, welcoming people as they came in to be seated, taking orders in the restaurant, ringing up pick up orders and dine in orders, bringing out food to the tables, topping off water glasses and all the other things associated with operating a restaurant. It seemed as though it may be a Family Business. They were all very nice and very busy. The food was hot, fresh off the stove, and very tasty. We tried the Walnut Shrimp, Pineapple Chicken, Peking Pork Chops, Egg Rolls and Cream Cheese Wontons. Everything was prepared very nicely. The pork and Chicken were excellent in their prep. Unlike many places that kill the flavor of the meat with over breading, Pearl Express fixed the dishes fresh without breading the meat. The Shrimp were battered just right for a crisp, flakey coating which went excellently with the sauce. Although the pineapple chicken was very good I think when I go again it would be the dish I would change out to try another dish. There are many to choose from. The Egg Roll was very good although in size it reminded me more of a Spring Roll. The Egg Rolls are served with a nice mild sauce that was almost like a sweet/hot mustard. The Cream Cheese Wontons were wonderful. Crisp, Fresh and Flakey served with a side bowl for dipping of Sweet and Sour Sauce. I would definitely recommend Pearl Express for small groups or small families. It is about average in cost for dishes served A la carte compared to other Chinese food restaurants. There are less expensive selections if you prefer a predetermined dinner selection with a choice of entrees. With the friendliness of the staff, tastiness of the food and the fast prep and serving of the food I don't think you could go wrong in giving them a try.
AMAZING FOOD been coming here since I was 11 I think lol I’m now gonna be 18 and it’s still my favorites!!
I love to order the pan fried noodles! They currently don’t have sit down dining but you can call or order online and pick up at a window. I think the food was great for the cost
They have the best Chicken Fried Rice. It is always filled to the top of the container full of meat and veggies. We haven’t found anywhere closer to us with this good of fried rice. You have to try their chicken fried rice with an additional $1 of beef.
Came in for a quick lunch and got Hot and Sour Soup and Chicken low Mein. Very tasty! Wish the Lo Mein had a bit more veggies. You can tell they are a small business who needs the communities support. Clean, friendly and great service. Thank you for the delicious lunch. :) I will be back
Great spicy, shrimp fried rice. It's very similar to old school Little World, which is about 1300 South and State Street.
Great Chinese food, fast service and love supporting local business.
Very nice people and pickup was easy
Friendly and quick service, I wish the sweet and sour chicken used the same beaded pieces as their sesame chicken, otherwise would have been 5 stars.
Great, lesser known Chinese food place in West Valley City. Try the fried rice!
Fast and friendly service and delicious food! There was a lot of it and very tasty! I don't know if I would say that it's the best Chinese that I've had but it's not bad. I got General Tsao's Chicken.
Always a pleasure. Lunch specials are such a great deal they usually end up lasting us into dinner! Mongolian Chicken, yummy.
