I am never disappointed in the food here. The burgers are quality meat, the portions are generous, the soup is to die for, and the staff for the most part, tries to do a good job. Definitely the best burgers in town. I only wish the place had a little more "ambiance", so we could get a meal there and hang out and enjoy ourselves. I usually end up getting everything to go because it's not a welcoming set up.
Fantastic burger (that's the double - a full pound of beef), amazing carmelized onions, terrifically juicy and flavorful, great service, nice people!
The burgers are juicy and grilled to perfection. I add the beef fry, which is like bacon and has a sweet glaze on it ($2). The sauces are strong and flavorful. I love the strawberry shake. The fries are spiced just right ... a little better than the onion rings. My apple pie was not the greatest; I look forward to trying the peanut butter pie. The veggie burgers feature a patty that tastes like the best falafel you could imagine. All around -- this place is my favorite spot to sit down and eat. The owner is attentive, gracious, and talented. It's packed here for a reason.
Had a good a great burger but the fries were a little oily and were a little soggy. Service was good and fast. It was my first time there and it smelled great. Menu had some options I would like to try.
Hi. I loved the dining experience and that the manager and owner asked how the foods were and how everything was. My grilled chicken salad was good and i love it with the sauté onions, which adds a nice touch. My sister said her fried chicken was delicious, it just didn't have so much flavor. It needed a few spices. Unfortunately, my dad said his burger meat was good, but the bun fell apart. My mom saw that they put the sauce on bun before the meat is cook, which causes the bun to become soggy. Also, my mom had a turkey burger and the juice spilled everywhere. Finally, the chocolate moose my dad had was delicious, but the presentation was horrible. It was in a little plastic cup and didnt look appetizing. IF it was in a bowl and had chocolate over it and in it it would look fantastic
I'm speaking from the point of view of someone not restricted by any dietary guidelines. So, I eat non-kosher foods most of the time. I was hesitant to try this kosher restaurant because I was worried the portions would be small, but I ordered the Gotham Burger and it was amazing: sweet, savory and just all around delectable. ($8)
It comes with a special sauce, caramelized onions, tomato, and lettuce on a sturdy bun. I also added a beef fry ($2) which is a way of frying beef so it tastes like bacon (for those who don't consume pork). For someone who has had bacon, it was pretty darn close -- it had the flavor but obviously lacks some of the textural qualities of bacon, such as the fatty portions).
Honestly, if you were wondering about trying this place, give it a chance. It's just unbelievable. I want to try the shakes and onion rings too...because if they can make a burger this awesome, I bet the rest of their items are top-notch.
update: onion rings a bit bland, but made very well. The shakes are creamy, sweet and absolutely wonderful. The fries are thick and chewy and taste better than the onion rings. The veggie burger is phenomenal--I've actually ordered that as much as the beef burgers. The chicken sandwich is huge. I don't care for all the seeds on the bread but the chicken and toppings were delicious. I'll probably stick to just ordering shakes and either the beef or veggie burgers with beef fry. The marinated mushrooms have a strong taste and are worth trying. I haven't had the chili yet, nor the mousse or peanut butter pie. The apple pie's crust tasted stale to me. I didn't like it.
Ordered regular burger with beef fry black and blue.
Cooked perfectly.
