I have been to this location twice for very different occasions. One was a girls night: the server was on point! She helped us pick great food and was happy and bubbly. Yes the food takes a while, but it's worth every minute you wait.
The second, was with my 6 year old daughter who is an absolute foody. She LOVED the place. Now it has been requested as the place to eat on Mom and Morgan dates. That's saying a lot!
If you are looking for a place to relax and have some great food drinks, this is the place. It's not for a lunch rush unless you explain that you are under a time constraint, and I'm sure they will accommodate your needs!
Great meeting spot for lunch meetings or when meeting up with out of town visitors.

One of my husband's favorite places to go. Most of the time the service is on point, we have the occasional miss day here or there but it's usually good. The food is phenomenal. I don't think I have eaten one thing there that I didn't like. Definitely one of our go to spots for Happy Hour or a late night drink. 😍😍😍
Always good service and good consistent food. I work for a small locally-owned chain that has about 16 different restaurants as a catering manager. So I always appreciate good service and really good food. This is our go-to place for my husband and my parents. Well done for a nationwide chain.
We've been here a few times, and the food is always good. I've had a few service hiccups, but honestly, it's not worth detailing. We've pretty much always enjoyed everything about our experience. We dine here pretty often and will continue. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation.
*This place is still delicious and consistent. The cheese curds with the Jalapeno jam are my go-to. This menu works for everyone. This is a place we go to regularly for quality and atmosphere.
The wait staff at the Thirsty Lion were exceptionally courteous and checked on our table regularly to ensure we were completely taken care of! The food was great, especially the Fish Tacos and the cheese curds appetizer! The presentation wonderful as well! The atmosphere is dark (as in low-light) and they had tvs around the bar to watch the football games that were on that day. The only concern I have would be for shorter patrons. The lighting at booths is such that shorter folks in the center of the booth will have light in their eyes while others around them have a much more pleasant experience.
Amazing burger! Steak and calamari were just okay. I wish there was more calamari, not sure if they serve less for happy hour discount.
Our server was really sweet though she got our orders wrong and it was not a busy night. Great atmosphere overall!
The food was good, but the amount of food(protein) was not. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai plate and it would’ve been great if it had more shrimp. Only 5 pieces of shrimp on the plate. The plate had more of the rice than anything. Maybe 8 shrimps would be more worth it. The flavors were good! The service was great and the atmosphere! The sauces that came with the cheese curds were so delicious! I would recommend that as an appetizer!
My husband and I went for dinner for date night. It was the first place we ever went as a couple, so we were “reliving” our first date. Food and service were amazing as always. We got the pretzel for an appetizer, the beer cheese is AMAZING! We also tried the fried chicken and Mac n cheese for the first time and even with sharing we had leftovers! That dish might be my favorite so far! Love this place!
A variety of pub dishes to go with a good selection of beer, wine and cocktails.
They have delicious seasonal dishes as well.
Decent portions, not overwhelming. The sushi however is not worth trying. But the pork loin, BBQ, mac n cheese, orange chicken are superb.

Great food and great atmosphere, especially love the Fried Cauliflower Appetizer & The Ahi Tuna salad is one of the best I have ever had. Great music videos were playing & just an overall cool place. Better food than most other Sports Bars.
This was my first time hosting an event and while our numbers were low, the staff was amazing. They absolutely did everything for us. Setting up our food and providing drinks whenever we needed, kept us focused on the reason we were meeting. A separate room may have been a better solution but that didn't take away from our meetup.

We Had The French Dip & Green Chili Chicken Sandwich W/House Salad. Delicious sauce, Ranch Is Made Fresh, Salad Is Fresh Crispy, Chicken Sandwich Had Fresh Jalapeños, Grilled Chicken, Avocado. French Dip Came With Delicious Au Jus Dip, Lots Of Roast Beef And Lightly Toasted Hoagie Bread. Amazing Server Kept Our Cups Full. And Amazing Artichoke Spinach Dip!
Came to the Thirsty Lion with my work team. Was a great spot! The Pork Belly & Spicy kimchi fried rice was amazing!

Dropped in to the District at Tempe Marketplace. Plenty of parking on the north part of the market. Chose the Thirsty Lion on a first time basis. Very impressive establishment. Massive indoor seating area and very welcoming patio area. Comfortable seating. We ordered the California sushi roll and the BBQ white cheddar burger. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. Very pleased with the entire experience.
We came on a weekend with a special holiday menu and ordered off there! We got Queso dip, jalapeño Margarita, Bourbon old fashioned, fabulous shrimp tacos with yummy beans and salsa, and from the regular menu (from EXTREMELY HELPFUL SUGGESTION FROM OUR SERVER SCOTTY- she was PHENOMENAL!!!!) the Chicken Caprese sandwich which was Heavenly! We came around 5 on Saturday and enjoyed happy hour drinks! The place was busy enough for happy hour on a Saturday and we received more than adequate attention from Scotty! Not only did she give awesome recommendations but checked on us when we needed anything and items came out at a great pace. All in all it was a great meal, service, the place and bathrooms were clean. I seriously can’t wait to go back and get the chicken caprese sandwich of my own since it was my brother that had it this time!!
Food was really good, I ordered the orange chicken. Service took quite a long time to get our bill and take our order. Overall though the experience was good and enjoyed the food.

I enjoy this place! It's a little corporate and a little pricey, but the food has always been yummy. Great drink options and huge variety in type of food. Good service as well. This is a good spot for apps & drinks with friends!
