What a delicious surprise. Chips came with some amazing salsas and guacamole, and our entrees were even better. The Aztec Cake is my new favorite! The homemade churro ice cream sandwich was perfection and enough for a few people. Can't wait to go back for more!

We had an amazing experience!! The food was fantastic, the service was top-notch (server was bilingual), and the ambiance was exceptional. The cocktails were fun and delicious! We can't wait to return!! Our server talked us into the Aztec Cake... Don't miss this dish or this restaurant!

I came here a while back and I enjoyed my time here. The food was great! The only downside was the wait time for a table and no waiting space when it’s cold. The menu was not detailed with all that came with the dishes but the staff had no problem with exchanging the dish for a new one.

I have been meaning to review this restaurant for quite a while now. We had a waitress whose name started with an "S" that served us but I can't remember her name! She was so awesome! I know it wasn't Samantha though... In case you're the owner reading this! Ghost ranch has set a new bar for my sit-down restaurant Mexican food. This is now what I expect. The opposite would be something like Si Señor... I hesitant to going because I also don't really like when places try to jazz up Mexican food in an attempt to make it fancy and expensive. This is not that. This is really good Mexican food with the flavor you expect, but jazzed up with just enough extras that add to the flavor and textures. You have to go. Full stop. No longer will I accept flavorless, monochromatic Mexican food. I want flavor, spice, and color. The other place that is close to this on flavor is my favorite La Olla Mexican food in marana, Arizona. But Ghost ranch has definitely raised that bar, and La Olla is far behind. We had a medley of dishes! The short ribs with polenta, the chicken asada, potato tacos, queso fundido, and a cheese crisp! Everything was amazing. My first gripe was the amount of extras on top of my short ribs. The flavor and texture of all of the additional vegetables was amazing, but it really took away from the presentation of the dish, which yeah doesn't really matter but I love seeing a beautiful short rib sitting on top of some mashed papas! My least favorite were probably the potato tacos. Cooked this way they quickly become soggy. But if you mash the potato, roll them into taquitos, fry them crispy, stack them double layer Cross oriented, then talk with some microgreens, and they'll HIT!

Very good food and appetizers. The place has a very easy, chill vibe but the food tastes like a nice restaurant. I had the salmon with spicy glazed carrots and it was top tier salmon. Great place to meet up with friends for great food and a casual atmosphere.

It is always a treat coming here. When people, in the valley or visiting, ask which Mexican restaurants in the East Valley I would recommend, this spot definitely makes the top list. During this visit, I shared the Cowboy Steak and a side of veggies. The cowboy steak has nopales, boiler onions, fingerlings, and ribeye in a delicious sauce chipotle sauce; it could be shared between two people or is substantial enough for a person with a raging appetite. (Also, as leftovers, paired with some eggs...it's the gift that keeps giving.) The vegetable mix (side) is also quite good with a savory and smokey sauce. The cornbread has peppers but not spice, and the corn tortillas are thick and authentic; both are worth getting.

Went on a Friday around 6pm and waited an hour and 15 min to be seated - plan accordingly as they don't take reservations. The hostess was so nice though despite how busy they were so we appreciated that and waited it out. It was worth the wait!! The cheese crisp was like a flavorful Mexican pizza - we devoured it. Our drinks were really good. For dinner our group had the steak tacos, the sampler platter, and the aztec cake. The general consensus was that the Aztec cake and the steak were the best! Don't let the size of the Aztec cake fool you - it is very filling! Full of flavor and just the right amount of spice. The steak was tender, had a great char, and was cooked perfectly. The parking lot is small - shared with many other businesses. The bathrooms were clean and cute. Our only suggestion would be that it seemed like they could reorganize and fit a few more tables inside- the tables are awkwardly wide & spaced far apart. Nice for privacy but would potentially reduce wait times if they could fit a few more tables in/reduce the "sitting area".

Upscale restaurant, food is large portions for a good price. Food was very well cooked. The swordfish tacos were seasoned very well. And the street corn was phenomenal. Ghost ranch margarita was perfectly made. Wait staff was extremely nice and handled the rush well.

Excellent dinner, always. The Aztec cake is amazing but it isn’t a dessert. It’s layers of tortillas, pulled chicken and Southwestern spices… add the house margarita. 👌

Ghost Ranch was absolutely lovely! I went for brunch with a friend and the ambiance was wonderful. Latin music that wasn't too loud and overpowering, but set the right vibe. The server was polite and checked in with us a couple times since we were taking a while to figure out what we wanted while talking too much. I tried the Prickly Pear Bellini, which was delicious, and got the Strawberry Mesquite Crepe, which was even better. I was torn on whether I wanted something sweet or savory for food, but when asking the server which she preferred, she recommended the crepe. It was absolutely delicious without being overly sweet. A perfectly fulfilling breakfast meal! I will definitely go back.

Our Waiter knew her stuff. Great recommendations from food and drinks. S Everybody loved the food, and desserts were great. The Arroz con Leche needed the rice to be cooked a little more besides that my family enjoyed every bit of it..

Pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The atmosphere was barn yard modern Mexican feel. Little hints of Hispanic Heritage with the art work and decorations. The food was good. The Fish A Guachile needed more flavor. There is a small hint of spice and then it disappears. Not enough citrus or spice for me. But I also like bold flavors which is typically what you would expect from this dish. My husband who is not Hispanic likes the dish a lot. My husband got Cowboy Steak. The steak was cooked to desired level and overall the dish definitely had its own spin on steak and potatoes. He said he would order it again. I personally got the Mosquite Grilled top sirloin steak tacos. While everything on the plate was good, what made it delicious was the beans and the homemade rice tortillas. These flavors brought me back to my childhood. I definitely had a Ratatouille moment where I was transported back to my country. The taste and smell is what made this plate perfection for me. The salsa verde had a wonderful intense smokiness to it. But my favorite was the salsa roja. For desert we got the churro ice cream sandwiches. While the dish was good, my favorite was the side part with the banana and caramelized sugar. The banana was ripe enough to taste but had sweetness to it as well. A perfect pick. The caramelized sugar on top was a perfect compliment. Those flavors together for me was delicious. It almost tricked you to thinking it was a plátano. These flavors I’ve had before but I can’t pin point it which is why I like it so much. The churro and ice cream was good, personally a few more seconds for cooking for the churro would have made it for me. It was a bit runny. But yes the dish itself was delicious. We had many drinks. While the drinks where fine the service was lacking by the bar manager. I personally asked for Michelada but perhaps should have asked for a Chelada. I described what I wanted and she repeated it perfectly back to me and then gave me what I didn’t ask. When I informed her it was wrong and repeated myself she rolled her eyes, seemed to talk smack to the other bartender and then gave me my drink with a brush off attitude. I understand it was crowded but that shouldn’t take away good service and manners. Thankfully the food made up for the bad service. Because that is what made it 4 stars instead of 3 for me. Overall I would come back and try a different dish. This is definitely not a Mexican restaurant but as it says on the website, it’s inspired by the multi cultural of AZ.

In all honesty, we went to Ghost Ranch twice during our 4 day visit because it was so good! The fresh ingredients, flavor combinations, and presentation were all super. Homemade chips, salsas, and guacamole were a nice start. The citrus salad was awesome. Chile relleno and seasonal vegetable enchiladas were totally scrumptious. Rancho papas on the side good and filling. Will definitely be back when in town.

Delightful authentic, well prepared southwestern food. Friendly staff. Busy so you may have to wait but it is WORTH it. Each dish we ordered was very good. Portions are generous. Drinks are good. Can't miss with Ghost Ranch.

I was surprised by this place! Nobody ever talks about it but they should! Interior is really nice & clean, beautifully decorated. I got the swordfish taco platter to share & the salsa & guac dip appetizer with a Paloma to drink! The corn tortillas were hand made fresh right then & they were amazing!!! Fish was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. I’m usually not a red salsa fan but even this one was good! Guac and green salsa were amazing! I can’t wait to come back here & try another dish!
