Tom's is a legend. Some of the best bbq and meats ever. We lived near there a few years back and now whenever I am in Tempe we have to stop by. My fridge always has a bottle of Tom's hot bbq sauce. Brady, tge hostess, is a doll and knows everyone by name.
Has some of the best Italian Beef and BBQ. Friendly staff.

Popped in today cuz I could smell the BBQ from a mile away. The pulled pork was so good. Brisket was soft and tender and very delicious. The Sausage was perfect with a slight kick. The price is reflected of our current highly inflated economy. The staff were very nice and happy. I’ll be back soon.
Come for the food, stay for a chat! The charismatic personality of Billie, behind the counter, is an art form lost on most businesses these days. Went in for the first time today and, during a lull, she sat down and chatted with me for a few minutes. Great food and great personality!
My Dad always took my brother and I here when we were younger, usually after school or whenever he got off work or after a sporting event, from what I remember it was always really good! The bbq sauce went good with the fries as well as the sandwich’s.. haven’t been here in a couple of years so I’ll have to come back soon!

A buddy and I were on our way to AZ Mills Mall when we spied this bbq joint rolling by. I deftly made a u-turn and we were both glad I did.
The older lady that greeted us made us feel right at home! She was unapologetically loud and boisterous, but super friendly and genuine at the same time. The dining room was clean, offering both booths and tables with rolls of much needed paper towels stationed every few feet apart.
I had the 3 meat combo which included rib tips, brisket, and smoked chicken (leg & thigh), all with spicy bbq sauce. I also asked for fries and cole slaw. I couldn't decide which meat was the best. I was brought a mound of hot and spicy protien that saw me through the night. The chicken fell off the bone. The rib tips were fantastic. And the brisket...oh my goodness the brisket!! My buddy ordered the same except he added burnt pieces to his order (I had no clue you could do this, and I LOVE burnt edges and pieces of bbq!!). I tried one and almost fainted!
Throughout our meal, the lady behind the counter remaind fully engaged in conversation with us as well as the other patrons making us feel like well cared for children.
One HAS to expect to pay a little more for good bbq so when my total came to just under $30, I was pleasantly surprised.
As we were leaving, the lady jokingly yelled out to us, "Make sure you call me when you get home so i know you got home safe." That did it!! We were both completely sold on this place.
Needless to say that it was a great bbq experience, and I would highly recommend

Wow where do I begin, the moment my son and I walked in Billy greeted us and made us feel so welcome! I let her know it was our first time there and she got so excited and was very helpful and patient. Did I mention how funny and outgoing she is ⭐️ The food was delicious I will most definitely be coming back again and again!! Overall i have nothing really bad to say about Tom's, we decided to try there BBQ 3 meat combo platter, my girl got the bbq smoked chicken with Mac & cheese, corn bread(👎)(unfortunately was a little dry) & then the mash potatoes & gravy(👍)... That gravy was Soo good too, I ultimately ordered 3 meat combo platter which i picked brisket(👍)(2dlr Xtra) pulled pork(👍) & burnt ends(👍) (the ends are 2 dlrs Xtra also) then had jalapeno Mac and cheese(👍), bbq beans(too sweet 4 me👎) & an extra side of potato salad(👍) (over priced,the portion is WAY to small for nearly charging us 4 dlrs for it) the chicken was moist & tasty, So for us our bbq tasting experience was a good choice..
If you are in need for BBQ - this is the place! First time visit and wow! Billy (I think she’s the manager) after finding out this is our first visit, brought us some samplers so we could experience the full Chicago BBQ and what experience it was. Stop by get the great food and enjoy the conversation with Billy (that’s a must)
My wife and I were driving on Baseline road yesterday and smelled the BBQ so here we are today. It's a small place with amazing food, I had the stuffed baked potato and my bride had the BBQ ends. The portions are really good but the taste is really good. If you're looking for BBQ I would highly recommend Tom's.

This place is sooo good!!! My best friend brought leftovers home 2 days ago and I had a plate today and it was incredible! I had the pork, chicken, beans, mac and slaw. The chicken was tender and full of flavor, the pork was fluffy and moist, the beans have a perfect sweetness, the mac was creamy and the slaw was fantastic! Unfortunately I'm all the way in Tucson or I would definitely frequent this place!
Absolutely the best barbecue in all of Arizona. Quality of the meat was excellent. The brisket is unbelievably tender and the fish is excellent. I will keep going back until I try everything they serve. They have a house sandwich to die for.
The wife and I try new restaurants every chance we get, and decide if they're worth going back to. Tom's BBQ is on a very short list we've been going to for decades. My personal favorite, rib tips and potato chips extra crispy. The wife loves the catfish with red beans and rice. Our favorite employee Billie is a hoot. Treats everyone like family. The rest of the staff are great, never had a problem with anything.
Very friendly service as soon as you walk in. The staff are happy to answer any questions about the menu, which has a lot of midwest and southern favorites. This was my first time here, and I tried their catfish plate. It came with 4 filets of fried catfish, hush puppies, a tartar sauce I think was homemade, and two sides. It was a LOT of food for $15, I was able to get two whole meals out of it. The catfish was perfectly fried and tender inside. I really liked the tartar sauce and hush puppies too. The mac n cheese and red beans and rice had good flavor but could've used a little bit more salt, for my taste. I'm looking forward to going back to try their italian beef.

Grew up down the street from the original and never experienced. Went to the "new" location accidentally and my god! By far the best green beans I've ever had in my life. Maybe the best vegetable.
Our experience was great, the place is clean and smells amazing. There BBQ is really good. My son had the pulled pork sandwich and said it was one the best he’s had. Wouldn’t mind going back and trying a couple other things.

The food here is delicious! The Italian beef sandwich is just right and not as fatty like what they serve at portillos.
The chicken BBQ sandwich with the spicy BBQ sauce is a good choice as well or if your in the mood for just red meat you can't go wrong with the chopped beef!
