Very fresh ingredients prepared with great flavor. I've had the Kung Pao Chicken there twice because it's so good. It's made with tender chicken, peanuts, scallions, chili pods, and fresh ginger. The sauce is dark and rich--perfect with a full-bodied red wine with strong tannins. Be advised that because of the chili pods, leftovers in the fridge will acquire more heat. We have also had the Beijing Pork, which is a bit hard to eat, but very good. The pork pieces are mostly bite-sized, but bone-in, so it takes a bit of work to eat. That's a good thing, though, because it slows me down in a good way. The flavor is not as complex as the Kung Pao, but the dish works very well with their excellent rice. Last time we ordered the scallion pancake, which is thin and savory. My wife thought it was too greasy and tough, but I thought it was a great way to sop up the Kung Pao sauce. It's a bit like a tortilla. Overall, a great experience. This is our take-out, in-home date night place. To eat in there, it's not an incredible atmosphere--it looks like a big, white box--but for take-out, it's one of our faves.

"Where am i? Are we safe?" Those were my first words after parking in the warehouse district looking parking lot.. they were re-uttered when i walked into the large double doors into what i thought was a garage.. but all was placed at ease when i saw the twinkling Christmas tree surrounded by flat panel televisions in the middle of the dining area. I ordered the pickled pork belly appetizer, oh man, i think i will come here just for this, it is sooo good, spicy but not sooo spicy, and the texture and flavor are nothing you (non Chinese person reading this) has ever had. My friend ordered the fried rice, which was pretty darn good! (i don't eat rice really) For our main dish i got the Spicy Lamb Dry Hotpot, and oh em gee was it spicy, it was delicious, if you do order it, order so gai lan (chinese broccoli) or something to go with it, you will need it. The only thing that upset me, is that due to customers not knowing what LOTUS ROOT is, they stopped using it in their hotpot and use bean sprouts which i am not a fan. Pretty sure the people who have given this bad reviews either thought they were going to Panda Express or just do not like "Sichuan" cuisine. Also they are moving locations soon, no clue where though. Hope it is not scurry like this one is.

Don't let the exterior fool you, this place has amazing food! Possibly the best Chinese in the valley! I cannot wait to recommend this place to all my friends.
