Great restaurant with a lot of Mexican food options and drinks. Very large indoor dining area along with additional indoor seating in a second building and huge patio. Located within walking distance from the Arizona Grand Resorts with a sidewalk for easy access. It also seems like the resort can provide golf cart rides to the restaurant. The frozen margaritas are amazing along with the chips and salsa. We had two different salsas, a regular one and a spicy one. Both were amazing and the spicy one definitely tasted great and built up some heat. We’d recommend this restaurant, especially if staying nearby.
First time trying Aunt Chilada’s was amazing! We were truly impressed with the delicious food, accommodating service, and delightful atmosphere. There was plenty of parking and when we arrived, and we were seated very quickly. We stopped in just 40 minutes til’ closing and hesitated, as we didn’t know if we’d be able to be serviced so late, but they treated us remarkably well!🥰 They start you off with crispy and warm tortilla chips plus two kinds of salsas-1 mild, 1 spicy(both were really good). We then ordered the house made guac- it was very tasty and fresh. For our entrees, we both decided on the specialty enchiladas. This platter is huge!! It comes with one asada, one chicken, and one cheese enchilada (with your choice of red, green, or Christmas salsas on top). Also comes with a side of rice, beans, guac, lettuce, & sour cream. It was $20 per platter, & very well worth it. Had plenty of leftovers too. Hubby liked the tamarind Margarita, and we had a great time dining here. Our server attended us with a kind smile and she made the experience all the better!🤓 5🌟
Phenomenal food and service! Whip it up! Come here for the street corn and drinks and stay for the enchies and deep fried ice cream!
Walked here while at the Grand and not only was the food and atmosphere great, our server Dalton was 100% spot on! She’s awesome, has a great smile and knowledgeable about the food and drinks! She helped make the night even better!
I was told that this was rated as best something in 2023, and they were right! I enjoyed everything. The place can get hectic, but that tells me the place is popular. The drink list is huge and very tasty. The food was delicious and filling. The service was professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family.
This is a nice place. There is a nice big patio they have heat lamps in the winter. Service was awesome, very friendly waitress. The menu is short and simple and the good was great. No wait to get seated either.
I rolled up here solo as this was on my radar from an IG Reel post about the food. It was Friday, July 21st, 2023, at 630pm. I honestly don't know why I thought the dinner rush was the prime time to visit.
Regardless, I was able to muscle my way through the sea of patrons at the bar which had open seating. I was greeted immediately by a bartender with a beer and menu. Then a different bartender had chips and salsa, yet a third bartender ordered my Tres Enchiladas de Harina.
This place was popping! Standing Room Only in the bar, the wait for a table was 20 - 30 minutes I'm sure. The conversation competed with the music overhead. The ambiance was lively and loud.
By the time I was halfway drank my beer, and only 1/4 into my chips and salsa ... my food was delivered! Crazy fast on a busy night. I was hangry so I devoured it with a smile.
The woman next to me had food envy. At any rate, for the Mexican food hankering ... come here next time!
Great place with amazing ambiance. Staff was courteous. We had to wait for a table but we did have 8 people. It was quicker than expected to get in based on time they presented. We did not wait long to be served at our table. Everything was quick to be presented and brought out. The main course came quickly too. I ordered the street tacos with fish. It looked amazing on the plate. The cabbage was excellent yet the fish was lacking. It was an over abundance of toppings with a small bit of fish. The fish was overcooked too. Flavor was good but fish was too dry. My wife mentioned her meal was a little dry too. All in all a great place to pcme and enjoy a good time.
The carne asada was super tasty! The Green sauce for my enchiladas was really good as well. Good size portions and who ever was running the bar did a great job making our drinks. I put the atmosphere below 5 stars because it is a little our dated but with the right people and music the patio could be a great place to send an evening. Keep in mind this is a 5 Star review for a great business not a "5 star" restaurant.
Great place to eat right on the property of the Grand Arizona Resort and Spa in Tempe Az. Started with good chips and salsa and a side “spicier” salsa for those that like it hotter. Opted for a flight of margaritas. Thought they would only be small 2 ounces. But they were full size !! And delicious. Our waiter Alex was attentive and recommended the Mexican street corn as a starter. Delicious! Roasted corn with tajin, cotija and just a touch of heat. We opted for the pork carnitas platter. The pork was perfectly seasoned and the guac, rice, refried beans along with a dollop of sour cream and fresh tomato salsa were perfect for the hot tortillas. 5 stars. Would eat here again. Wish we had an “Aunt” at home !
Samantha provided excellent service and we enjoyed fantastic meals! Food was far more affordable and delicious than the alternatives at the nearby resort we were staying at. Highly recommend!
Nice Mexican restaurant with a great selection of draft beers. The Fajitas and street tacos was excellent! A good walk from my room at Arizona Grand Resort. I would eat here again in the future. My family loved this place. Not much say other than a good Mexican place. I forgot to mention the salsa and chips are the bomb.
The food was delicious and the drinks were very good. But service was a little slow. we did have a semi large group (13), but it took a long time to get our drink orders, and then there was a pretty long time between drink orders and ordering our food. We made a reservation so they knew that we were coming. And I feel they should have been a little better prepared with their staffing. Overall a good experience, we had a nice large room off the patio, a/c was nice and cool. Negatives are that this restaurant does not have any happy hour during the week, which
was a surprise , and the restaurant Does not do separate bills for parties of 6 or more, making it a little more challenging to pay your bill.
What a wonderful night out celebrating my birthday. Such a fun environment. The staff there were amazing, looked after me and definitely made my birthday that little bit better. The drinks here are amazing, I loved the margaritas. I was lucky enough to try a few different types. If you have the time, add this on your list of places to go, you won't be disappointed
My server Samantha was great with our service. She was very friendly and was always attentive. The food was also amazing, we got the steak tampiqueña and a flight of margaritas. We sat outside and the environment was very relaxing. We will definitely be coming back!
A good option for decent Mexican food if you're staying at the Arizona Grand Resort. Favorites were the salsa, the queso dip (add chorizo *it was spicy), and the Baja Refresher drink. We got it both non-alcoholic (as intended) and with Bacardi. It was light and refreshing, obviously a bit on the sweet side. Would definitely return for apps and cocktails. The entrees were good, but not exceptional and overpriced in my opinion.
There was a 30 minutes wait opening week. There was plenty of parking and shaded seating while we waited. These few weeks after opening offer a limited menu but the drinks are cold and the salsa is hot. Enjoy.
So cute and kitchy... our server was fantastic. The drinks were amazing. Had the Tres Enchiladas and the Chimichanga both were great. Felt like being in Mexico. Absolutely loved it!
