Oh, so delicious and over the top on price, but well worth it. Service was superb. I had crispy chicken Fettuccine the Fettuccine was curled in a bee hive shape 2 good size crispy chicken breasts top with a mild sauce on the side of the pasta. The salad was a lot couldn't eat it all called a Baldwin salad. In fact, I brought home a breast and Fettuccine great left over for the next day meal. The dinner also has a homemade hot out of the oven roll. You could smell it coming to you, my girlfriend is a critic on foods for years she loves The Baldwin Saloon in The Dalles, Oregon. But this time her Prime Rib 14oz was a little different, she gave her meal a 4.9. Instead of a 5.0, because of the rib. She figured out it didn't have Marinated Worshire sauce on it. The Prime ribs come only 14oz. She had a Lemon Drop Drink, I had a" Bee Kind" Shirley Temple. Tasted like Lemonade with Honey oh so gooood..Had 2. Dessert I took home Lemon Cheesecake had next day, enough for 2 to share with plenty left over. Of course, save up my pennies will be heading back on a Saturday night after 5p for our favorite meals. The Saloon inside is a conversational piece.❤ love the Saloon! See you soon! Ginny

Baldwin saloon is absolutely lovely. Great food, and lovely atmosphere. Sitting outside was perfect. The fried oysters are delicious. The mango cocktail is very nice. Their table bread is light fluffy bread balls. The desserts were delicious too.

Elegant dining without the elegant price. Cute historic building in downtown Dalles, excellent service and very creative, unique food. Currently they are serving a reduced menu due to heat and older kitchen, but going back to full amazing menu on July 28th. We will definitely be back and highly recommend. I don't think you could make a bad choice with anything on this menu. Clearly the chef puts heart and soul into these dishes with a team who truly support him. Well done.

Where to start… this place is the BEST! Food and drinks are amazing, staff is wonderful, atmosphere is great. Clean, beautiful restaurant. This is always our first choice for date nights! I recommend it to everyone. Just a couple pics of the food we have enjoyed. :-)

We came in the middle of a long road trip. We were exhausted with asking folks to wear masks around us and not looking forward to asking another person to cover their nose. Not only did the staff at the Baldwin wear their masks properly but also served us the best meal eaten on this trip. Not a word about staffing shortages or supply issues…we were fed from a customized, changing menu and everything was superb. We had two appetizers, entrees were the salmon, duck, and milk glazed pork and polenta. Two cocktails, the Shrute and wild horses and two desserts, gingerbread creme brûlée and the walnut tart finished our meal. It was all excellent. We will dine here again next time we trod this path.

Fabulous ambiance! I was half expecting an old western shoot out but the soothing classical music and friendly staff brought us into the fine dining of the Baldwin. The food was near perfection but only missed adding a fresh local vegee alongside the Filet Mignon...but, make no mistake, it is easily one of the finest restaurant experiences in the Gorge! Hopefully, Jade is your server. This one comes with high marks and kudos to the folks from the Sunshine Mill who now carry the torch of culinary excellence!

Okay, this place is amazing. I just love it when a restaurant can provide a completely unique dining experience. The place looks and feels like an old saloon (which it is), boasts an incredible and unique menu, and has some of the coolest people working there! Can’t wait to come back!

If you have the chance to try the prime rib, do it. It was exceptional. I think it was the best I'd ever had, anywhere. The seasoning, the texture, tenderness, it was all amazing. Do yourself a favor and try it, you're welcome
