Jaspers
We visited Jasper’s at Market Street in The Woodlands for lunch. We started with their freshly made potato chips with warm blue cheese drizzled over them. This appetizer is the reason we came in for lunch. It was recommended by a coworker who has eaten at Jasper’s several times. Anthony was our server today. He was very cheerful and professional. He was the icing on our eating experience. He told us about the array of gourmet food available. Our potato chip appetizer certainly did not disappoint us. It was spectacular. After our potato chip appetizer, we were served a yummy mixed green salad with candied pecans, pomegranate fruit and pears with a Vinaigrette dressing.
We ordered the fillet mignon steak which was cooked to perfection with a wonderful sear and served with a tasty parsnips and Yukon potato mix. Anthony told us that our Potato chip appetizer would be complementary since this was our first visit. The manager Frank came over to welcome us. The Environment was very warm and inviting. They have a wonderful patio for dining when the weather is as pretty as it was today. We will be back. This will be a restaurant we will definitely add to our list of restaurants we like to regularly visit in the Woodlands.
We all know in this market, it's always about the food, and Jasper's has really upped their game. The Parmesan Reggiano Crusted Trout was amazing! My mom's snapper was amazing. The mac and cheese was amazing. And, I'm not a big mac and cheese connoisseur. Most places make a mac and cheese that's way too rich and overpowering for the pasta and any dish you're attempting to enjoy. This version was nice and light. Looked to have nice, small slices of pancetta and baby pearl onions. Loved all the veggies too! Now, if they revamp their wine list, they'll have a very successful combination. Please don't put wines on the list that no one has ever heard of. I won't buy.
Fantastic staff and menu. Can't beat happy hour on the patio. The lamb, salmon, hummus, shrimp / grits and empanadas are all amazing.
Great place to hang out for happy hour. appetizers are amazing, especially the beef sliders. service is great. Love the patio
First time there. The bartender made excellent dirty dirty dirty martinis and margaritas. We had the prime rib and parrot fish (I believe that was the special), it was delicious. Our server, Robert, was awesome. Will definitely make the drive and go back.
We celebrated graduation with a great meal. Pork tenderloin was excellent, as was the surf n turf. Returned a few days later for a Banfi wine dinner - fantastic!!
Love happy hour here - great value for a nice portion! House wine options quite good!
The food was excellent, drinks were fantastic and the service was top notch. Our waiter Scott B. was very attentive and a pleasure to talk to and we will request him next time we return. Keep up the good work.
I’ve only been for happy hour on the patio, but everything was great. Staff is friendly.
Our waiter was great. The food was delicious. Atmosphere very appropriate for a lunch conversation!
It's our absolute favorite. Jasper's has amazing service and an excellent menu. The atmosphere is top notch and we highly reccomend Jasper's to all of our family and friends!!
We went for our anniversary dinner and everything was fantastic! The food was perfect! Everything was delicious, flavorful, and exceeded expectations. I got the pan seared salmon and a ranch water, and my husband got the half rack of ribs. We also got a complementary strawberry cobbler that was amazing. 10/10 will definitely return!
Food is very good and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I have ordered the omelet before and the last time, tomatoes were added inside the omelet which I did not like. Luckily they were easy to pick out.
My husband took me restaurant hopping on my birthday and this was our first stop. Let me say, this restaurant set the standard for the day! I ordered a bellini (bubbly, crisp and delicious) and my husband ordered a bloody Mary (tangy, not too spicy with a salted rim...also delicious) for our app (all we ordered because - restaurant hopping lol) we ordered the blue cheese potato chips. When our server (Monica... more about her to follow) brought the app to our table, I swear we could hear angels singing! It is served in a metal basket nestled in "newspaper," the chips are homemade and drizzled with a creamy sauce with chunks of blue cheese dispersed throughout the massive pile of chips. Not a fan of blue cheese? Don't fear, this is NOT blue cheese forward AT ALL!!! It was delicious and the drinks cut nicely through the richness of the dish! About our server, she was top-notch! She started my birthday off the right way! She was personable, attentive and very thoughtful! When she found out that it was my special day, she brought us, to our surprise, a taste of their Shiner Bock Cheddar Soup with seasoned popcorn on top along with an order of their Lemon Creme Brulee with a candle!!! THAT SOUP!!! Don't leave without trying it... it was creamy and flavorful with a yummy crunch from the popcorn! The vibe is a bouji restaurant you might find downtown, but the experience is anything but pretentious! We were so impressed with this restaurant and the great service, we can't wait to go back and explore the rest of the menu!
Jasper's is fantastic! Outstanding ribeye and blackened grouper is fabulous. The only thing that we didn't care for was the cornbread. If you are on a budget, find another restaurant. I don't mind paying for a good meal. However, I believe their prices are too high. Their waiters are very knowledgeable about each dish. The service was okay but not fantastic. Since it's my daughter's favorite restaurant, we will return.
Christina was beyond wonderful on all details, attention, recommendations for my daughter’s 21st birthday dinner. We will be requesting her every time. Food is excellent. We tried a verity of appetizers and entrees with sides, delicious !
Attentive service, wonderful food, and cozy atmosphere. While waiting for the restaurant to open, staff informed us we could sit by the outdoor fireplace to stay warm. The host greeted us kindly, and knew our reservation right away. Our server was always anticipating our needs and gave prompt service.
Had a nice light brunch and cocktails with my daughter after a spa treatment around the corner. The pear and mozzarella salad was nice and refreshing, the lemon vinaigrette was just the right amount tang to balance the mild flavors or pear and cheese. The wedge salad was impressive plated on a big onion ring as the base. Very tasty. Portion sizes were perfect. We were satisfied with just enough. Throw in a Tinsley (light cocktail) and a Bloody Mary and we'll call it a great girls day.
