Simply Wonderful: If you do not enjoy English Muffins; this delightful dish is a great alternative! Less expensive, too.
It can get very busy and even with the carpeting it can get loud when crowded.
But the food is good and the service is outstanding. Each time we've come an owner/manager has stopped by our table to ask how we're doing. Oh, very VERY important, no cable-news-clown-shows! In fact, no TV's at all; just nice music (and free WiFi!).
You should go.
Great Service!. When my sister came into town for the weekend we stopped in for an early breakfast. Our server, April, was great! She remembered me before I rememberd her from the last time I was in w/ my fiancee'. "Red AND Green Tobasco, right??"--Yes Please! Even early in the morning she is sharp, fast, and friendly---such a nice chance of pace! Thanks April!
The Best Around. We were in the Woodlands on a business and staying at one of the areas 5 star hotels. On a friends recommendation we ate breakfast at the Egg & I and came back the remaining 4 days we were in town. Easy to get to, the very best food, great and friendly service, Super Clean and the right prices. Very popular, so go early or be willing to wait 5. Well worth it.

A Most Pleasurable Experience. Breakfast is my favorite meal and The Egg and I is my absolute favorite place to get a fantastic meal. The service is outstanding and the food is even better. The variety of choices, the attention to serving exactly what you want, how you want it prepared, is their signature. Everything I have tried is fantastic and the attention to each customer is impressive.
Cheerful restaurant and tasty breakfast. Great place to take friends for a weekend breakfast. Large menu with a variety of choices. Crab Benedict is my personal favorite. Service can be slow.

Good breakfast spot!. This place is nice and cozy and was a great escape from the rain. It took a little bit for us to get a table but well worth the wait. Great menu selection made it hard to choose just one thing but the Colorado Jack scramble was excellent. You can get salsa with anything too, which is a huge plus for me. Service was good. Will be going back.

Consistent. We eat here every weekend and have tried almost everything on the b'fast and lunch menus. There is often a large number of people waiting to get in after church, but the turnaround is impressively quick. The food quality and service level are consistently good.
Vegetarian friendly. Omelet is one of the best I've ever had. Their potatoes are amazing. :)
Great coffee and their ranch potatoes are the best. Never overcooked or dried out. Their own hot sauce is also a winner; it is no surprise there is always a wait on the weekends.
Very healthy. Food was so-so. Ive def had better, but id eat there again. The portions are HUGE, but if yoi order anything as a side item, you might as well just order another entree. The side items are VERY pricey! $5 for an extra waffle? Come on.
Pancakes were great. Service was outstanding and served with a smile from gabriela. Very healthy choices and fresh fruits and jalapenos! Awesome I hope they have one in Dallas.
Glad to see a place like this. It's a nice change of pace from a franchised generic diner. the coffee is always fresh, the omelettes and egg plates are good, and so is the price. It's crowded on the weekend mornings for a reason!

My Quest for The lost Breakfast Sanctuary is over. After reading the review above (or below...I don't know where Fernados review is going to be at after posting this one) I looked The Egg and I at Google map and went straight for it the next day morning. There were so many people and I estimated a 45 minute wait for me but when I reserved a spot for my wife and me the hostess said we would be seated in 20 minutes! The experienced waiters and the food amazed us even more! Everything in the Menu has egg or eggs in it but a corner that has waffles and oatmeal meals. I highly recomend this place and set it as one of my favorites.

Excellent Breakfast Variety. From Atmosphere to Service and Food quality this restaurant scores high in The Woodlands as a must go.
We really enjoyed our breakfast at The Egg & I. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere to it, and the staff all seem to really enjoy being there. Judging by the crowd that had gathered by the time we left, we’re not the only ones that think so highly of them, either.
