My aunt, son and I went for an event Friendlys was hosting with the Grinch there. Food was delicious and our waitress Kristen C was so kind. I asked if they could sing happy birthday to my aunt (not realizing it was an event night and super busy) and she couldn’t get the other girls to do it with her and she did it herself! Thank you Kristen for your kindness and quality service
One of our favorite places! The ice cream and food was awesome! Our waitress was a sweetheart! I'm terrible with remembering names otherwise I'd definitely mention her name. It got busy but she still made us feel like our table as well as all her tables were a priority! We started out as a table for our family of 7, then our nieces and nephew unexpectedly joined us a little later. She was amazing & so kind. We added three more chairs and some more orders. Not one sneer at it. Thank you! We can't wait to come back again!
I love this place so much. when I was in 3rd grade my mom would take me here every Friday after school and get me ice cream too.

I didn't write anything, which I am truly regretting now, and so now this is an edit to my review of only leaving 5 stars for everything.
My husband and I have been coming here since they opened, and have loved Friendly's in general since we were kids.
We visit this location, whether we order online or dine-in, at least once a week. It is one of our favorite things to do.
I don't understand the negative reviews, because last summer, our oldest daughter and her family were visiting from Oregon for the first time in 12 years and one of the very first things that we all wanted to do was go here for dinner. We were a party of 12 and walked in, not realizing that they were goin to close in a few minutes, and mopping the floors because they were going to be having workers come in to re-do the floors for them. When they told us this and said that we would have to come back another night, my husband said (in a joking manner because he always joked around with them) that our daughter flew all the way from Oregon so she could go there, they said that they would seat us. And not once did they ever rush us. We had 2 servers and they were both very friendly and smiled the entire time and joked around with us as usual.
We love this location. We've been to several others along the way, and some have just been okay and some not so good at all. And whenever there has been a mistake with a take out order, they get our info and we get the correct item for free the next time, no attitude or hassle ever.
Our favorite place to get ice cream!!! Everyone is so kind and attentive. The service is quick and the food is phenomenal. We always feel at home when we are here and it's why we come back week after week. Thank you Friendly's for an amazing experience!

This place is pretty good. In the morning almost everyday, they have 50% off breakfast. And I do prefer this place to IHOP, I think pancakes are better. And they actually know how to cook eggs.
Ashley our waitress is perfect in every way! She is kind, efficient, considerate, accommodating, and stellar performance wise at her job. There is no one else I would rather have as my waitress. The food is always on point and the restarting is always clean and inviting.
I love Friendly’s and this is the only one that’s not extremely far from me. I always loved coming here when I was a kid. The food is delicious and service is excellent!
I believe this one is the only one left in Toms River. Because of the PANDEMIC a lot of change has been put in place. They now open at 11AM. They DO NOT SERVE BREAKFAST ANYMORE.

Ham a longa ding dong is amazing!!!!! This location is a must for any family gathering. Clean with very friendly servers. Also very pet friendly, especially dogs.
Colleen, Ashely , Michelle, and Kyle were wonderful such a welcoming staff . We will be back again !! Banana splits were out of this world !
Had the clam platter. It was ok but a bit overcooked. Same for the fries. Too crispy for my preferences.
Mary was a great manager ! Very friendly and respectful ! Ashley our server was also very friendly and continued to check on our table , overall a great experience

I was driving home and stopped in on a whim tonight. I just wanted ice cream. I was greeted quickly and my ice cream came quickly too. Both the hostess and my server are so nice. The place was quiet when I got here at 7pm and just now a literal bus load of people coming from a school concert walked in and the employees are still being kind and courteous. Reminds me of back in the 80s when hanging out at Friendly's was the thing to do. 10 out of 10, recommend.
This Friendly is big and does alot of business. Always loved their patty melts and salads. My favorite sundae will always be the Reese's Pieces. The combo of peanut butter sauce with chocolate and the candies is so delicious. I get that sundae with chocolate ice cream and coffee ice cream. Delicious! 😋
