Love the place and the old time vibe! Love the mashed potatoes on chicken thighs dish but it was a way too salty. Otherwise everything was excellent. Everybody ordered Reuben and it was amazing! The pastry was very classy - lemon bar and chou cream!
Super friendly family of owners. Excellent food. Big hot sandwiches with lots of variety. German, Greek and middle eastern influences. 100% of everything homemade on premises. Daily hot lunch specials like Stroganoff, Weiner Schnitzel, meat loaf, pork, etc. I have eaten hummus hundreds of times all over the country, and this is in the top 3 ever!
Great specialty dishes, quite some Greek, all delicious and fresh. Friendly staff! No doubt, a must go!
Rode bikes from downtown traverse and found this nice little place. The staff welcomes you and is happy to see you. We are cream puff fanatics and they have the best by far not to mention the rest of their delicious home made food. We're coming back for dinner tonight and this is our new favorite place to eat in traverse city. If you're looking for a great place to eat , this is it.

I love this place. Home cooking, family portions, unique menu items the change daily. I have never had something that I didn’t like here. The Soups are made daily. The ladies that own this establishment and 2nd to none. Bright and cheerful. It also host a gift shop with a small but amazing collection of art this or that. I go to the Swan a few times a month however I stop in almost daily to grab a homemade desert cream puffs to the front of the line.
This is the best place to get quality, locally sourced food, and the best service in town. The sisters that run the place, Yola, Petra, and Erika, are the sweetest women and will remember what you like. Their well-crafted food is absolutely excellent, and will fill you up. Their deserts are to die for as well.
My husband and I went here for lunch. We were welcomed with a smile right away. I had the ham and pinapple sandwich. Oh it was so good! I then ended with baklava for dessert. Yummy! Great spot for lunch!
Second best Reuben sandwich I've ever had, and the potato salad is superb too. I imagine the rest of the food is great -- they feature daily specials rather than a menu -- but I can't ever bring myself to pass up the Reuben. A must every time I visit Traverse City.

A quaint little boutique luncheon spot, of which I'm partial to the turkey red Reuben, where a pickled red cabbage is used in place of Sauer Kraut! Your mouth will water- it's D-Flippin-Licious!

Yula is the best German food and dessert chef ever. And I have eaten in many German restaurants. She deserves Ten (Zwanzig) stars!!!
