I can't even believe what I'm tasting in my mouth right now...no sugar, no soy, no gluten and more flavor than I ever could imagine. This place is LEGIT.
I just had my birthday cake delivered. Almond crumb cake...absolutely fantastic!! If I had known eating gluten free, dairy free, soy free and sugar free could be so delicious I would have done it years ago. Also because my diet restrictions it is corn free as well...thank you Heather for working your magic
Love the location and the food! Whether you have allergies or not you will not be disappointed in the food! You will not taste anything this allergy friendly that tastes great! I would recommend to anyone and everyone!!
Third Coast is the best baker for Gluten Free products. All of the products have a wonderful taste and you will never be disappointed.
Heather's bakery is the best of the best in Traverse City. If you have never had her baking...your missing out on life itself.
Wow!
What a gift. For those with food sensitivities/allergies, there’s nothing like eating a sweet treat with absolute knowledge that it won’t make you sick with some hidden ingredient. The lengths Heather and the team go to to ensure their environment is GF/DF and then some is above and beyond. Oh and everything is legit delicious! Thank you, thank you.
I have been drooling over their Instagram pictures for over a year. This weekend I decided to make the four hour drive to go taste for myself. I was not disappointed! Amazingness!!! So worth the drive and the best part...they ship!!

Just tried Third Coast “Va-Va-VOOM-illa!” cupcakes sold at Tom’s markets. The cupcakes taste sinfully delicious yet are gluten free, dairy-free, soy-free and vegan. Loved them so much I ate two!
Gluten-free scones that don't have the consistency of dust? Unheard of till now! So good! And the lattes were wonderful. The three of us tried three different "milks" and liked them all.
Awesome treats, coffee, and staff!! New favorite allergy-friendly spot.
So good!! was very excited to find this place on my vacation. Will definitely be back again next time I'm in the area :)
Haven’t had had a donut in 10 years because no one made fresh gluten-free celiac safe donuts. So today so excited to have one and the delivered, it was great!!!

Delicious❣️I was recently diagnosed with Graves Disease and am in a early life changing transition diet of no coffee no caffeine no gluten no dairy..no soy..no sugars....you know the drill. So my mom the sweets queen of potters bakery stoped in yesterday she asked about gluten free....and was so excited to see a whole display of Third Coast new wave of baking products. I'm Nuts For You Almond Crumb Cake❣️Thanks Heather for perseverance in you dream of creating a healthy choice. P.S. I just had a birthday with no cake so healthy Birthday party #2 coming up❤️🍒🛠🙏💜connie.....always a local fan now a happy customer for healthy wellness options. YuM🤗
We tried this bakery since it got such good reviews. The place is pretty small, and when we were waiting in line, we had to wait in the vestibule because the line was too long. Made it more challenging when we got to the front because you couldn’t see the display case to make a decision until at the counter. We tried pretty much one of everything, all the flavors of donuts, cookie cream pie, brownie, cake pop and chocolate chip cookie. Honestly, cannot say they tasted all that good. I wish I could. I love dessert, and I didn’t want to finish mine. Felt like it needed lots more butter and sugar and was pretty bland. I understand the gluten free, vegan concept, but I know there are lots of vegan options for those things now. Also, the water cups they give you are basically a shot glass, we had to refill them 3-5 times. Probably won’t be back.
This is definitely my favorite bakery in Traverse City! Everything here is gluten free, and almost everything is vegan, so I can eat here without worry (cream puffs and cake rolls contain egg). The staff is always friendly and makes great recommendations. If you have any concerns, they always explain the items well. Every baked good I have tried from them has been amazing (some items don’t even taste gluten free or vegan). The coffee is really good as well. Even though the baked goods are pricey (due to fair wages and using ingredients that accommodate most diets), every penny is worth it. I would give this place 10 stars if I could!
So delicious! Well worth the long line. I didn't even realize it was vegan. And for gluten free it was really good. They had free ginger cookie and iced Chai samples. We got two different drinks, a donut, breakfast sandwich, and cheesy bagel- ALL delicious.
All gluten-free sweet treats. The coffee is tasty, so is everything else. We enjoyed being able to purchase everything, without worry, for our gluten adverse friends. It is a quick stop, very nicely decorated, with great parking. Cakes, cookies, pies, donuts, cinnamon rolls and more. All your favorite staples for desserts, snacks, even bread and croutons.
Wow this place is impressive! The workers were so friendly and welcoming. We had cinnamon rolls, a French toast donut, and the zebra donut. We loved everything! The cinnamon rolls were very sweet and had a nice cinnamon glaze. The donuts were our favorite, soft and excellent flavor. We will be stopping here every time we visit TC.
Coffee was average cinnamon roll was average pumpkin donut not anything to write home about. People were very friendly and atmosphere was inviting. I gave it 4 out of 5 I just like the bake goods or the coffee but I love friendly people that are doing their best to provide a product and service. And maybe it's just my opinion and others may find they like the coffee and baked goods. I wish them the best . I would suggest if you get the cinnamon roll to heat it up and I wouldn't get the coffee take your cinnamon roll to go and go to Starbucks
We have had a lot of gluten free baked goods over the past 10 years after my wife became gluten-intolerant, but have never been to Third Coast. We tried the Pumpkin Coffee Cake donut, the Lemon donut, the Double Chocolate Sprinkle donut, a cake pop, and a lemon bar. The Pumpkin was probably the best donut I have ever had and the rest were very good. The prices were great too - about half of what we have paid at other gluten free bakeries (only $2.50 per donut). We will definitely be back!
This bakery..... I judged it before trying, I was skeptical, I have really high standards when it comes to Vegan baked goods. This bakery takes the cake when it comes to being the best bakery I have ever tried. I am so in love with the lavender donut 🍩 it's amazing!!! I would give this place a 10/5 if it would let me and the Sleeping Bear latte was on point with oat milk, super creamy and delicious! And very unique! This was an amazing experience!!!
We randomly stopped to get some coffee and we’re so excited to find out it was Vegan friendly!! The selection was excellent, so many baked yummies it was hard to choose. The cupcakes were moist and delicious. The scones and donuts were just as good! I had a Latte and enjoyed every drop. The employee (possibly owner) was kind and friendly. I will go out of my way to come back to this bakery!
This coffee shop & bakery is a must stop when we visit TC. The Sand Bar latte is my favorite & they always have fun treats to try. Love that all the menu items are gluten free (plus dairy free, soy free & vegan if you are looking for that)!
I purchased a cake from here for my boyfriends 30th birthday, the design of the cake was not what was expected and after leaving a review the owner reached out within a few hours to make things right!! I would order from here again simply because of the owners quick and quality customer service.
All the items we got were great. Not too sweet like many bakeries can be. Thanks for offering so many gluten/dairy-free items!
Cinnamon sugar pumpkin donut was so good! Not from around here and was very impressed!
A family favorite! Their brownies are amazing. We can order anything here without worrying about gluten or dairy sensitivities. And they serve vegan treats too! We are thankful for this place and their friendly staff.
As someone with celiac disease being able to eat baked goods and not worry about getting sick is so relieving! Thank you for providing an opportunity for those who can’t normally have the same experiences as others. Everything was amazing! :)
Delicious gluten-free donuts. Delicious coffee. That should be enough review, however here’s more. The service was outstanding and while small the cafe is adorable. Would 10 out of 5 go back and sample more goodies. Please check this place out! You won’t regret it.
The place is a gluten free paradise! We tried the banana walnut muffins and they are our favorite ones! The muffins are very moist and flavorful- a must try for everyone.
Also we tried different donuts- strawberry, lemon, double chocolate and latte. They are delicious.
The place has covid-19 regulations - wear a mask, maximum of 3 people at a time.
We would love to come back!
Great daily selections of plant based and gluten free items. One of our new favorite places in Traverse City for breakfast.
Made a 6 hour drive to visit Traverse City for the weekend. On the way home we stopped in at the Third Coast Bakery. So glad we brought a cooler we stocked up! We will definitely be back on our next trip. In the meantime, I will have the goodies shipped to me. Thank you Third Coast Bakery for doing what you do & being so good at it!
