Reviews Shari's Cafe And Pies

Well here we go again with another Trucker review of another restaurant while on the road. I had to drop a load in Portland, Oregon and all I had to eat all day was a muffin and coffee. I pulled into TA truck stop to shut down and I saw the "Shari's" restaurant sign. It was about 3:00 PM on Friday. I had to bypass fastfood from the truck stops. Now this place does not look like much from the outside, and it was not busy at all when I walked in. Danielle was my server. I ordered the roast sliced Rib Eye. I wanted a LOADED baked potato, but they were not ready before four PM. Danielle said I could have the mashed potatoes LOADED I had a salad with Honey Mustard dressing. The Salad was huge in portion-size, had baked croutons, tomatoes and cheese. Honey Mustard dress was so-so. The Rib Eye was good, tender and served Au Jus. Not Steakhouse quality mind you, but good enough. The broccoli was hot and well cooked. Unfortunately, they lost one star because the Loaded Mashed Potatoes were not hot!. Its fresh mashed potatoes alright, with chopped real bacon bits, cheddar etc. I asked Dannielle if she could bring a small plate, so I could slide the mashed potatoes on it and she could give it a zap in the microwave. She happily complied and when i got it back it tasted great! I eyeballed the dessert menu, as they brag about their pies! I had the Apple Pie that had the crispy topping. Its supposed to be Deep Dish and the photo of the pie on the menu certainly looked deep, but when I got the pie, it looked like a regular piece of cut apple pie. No matter, the pie was delicious! Apple's fully cooked and well seasoned and that crisp topping was outstanding! I enjoyed it with ice cold milk. I spent about $28.00 & change including tip. The Apple Pie sells for $3.99. Hey guy and gal Road warriors, you want a healthy meal, come here to eat!

Amazing service awesome food very high-quality!!! I got the double bacon cheeseburger with fries it was phenomenal!!!

Two/2 hourz of Video poker and two Coors because narry a Bud but I took at least near to just under $300.00 and wax show the Door of the Way too "'The next Video Poker Bar like within/in 'Led Zeppelin II'".......
