Took my best friend to try something new and it was fantastic! I barely remembered to take a picture. The food tasted great, big portions, orange juice freshly squeezed, the chicken not too much breading and crispy, the potatoes were crispy and soft, the duck sausage gravy (I believe) was delicious and service was amazing. We will return in the future but possibly share the biscuits and gravy with fried chicken as we both liked it!
We were seated right away. We got the fried chicken sandwich, half order of both the curd French toast and biscuits and gravy, and a kids meal. The chicken sandwich and fries were mediocre, I didn’t particularly like the biscuits and gravy. The kids meal was good, and the curd French toast was amazing. Ourservice was mediocre as the waitress hardly came to check on our table and we didn’t get our juice until I finally asked a manager for it.
Service 5/5
Price 4/5
Taste 4/5
Personally, the Chef kianna’s call French toast and steak and egg sandwich were the best. And Plain Jane pancakes was very fluffy. Also, the service was very good. It’s not in the picture, but I bought blueberry Earl gray scone. Highly recommend!
Overall, my experience at this breakfast place in Tucson was a bit mixed. My family and I always make it a point to have breakfast here whenever we are in town, and this time we visited three times. Out of the three visits, two were great, but unfortunately, the last one was not up to par.
One thing I really appreciate about this place is the amazing food. I prefer my breakfast items like eggs, bacon, and potatoes to be well done, and this place usually delivers on that front. However, during our last visit, the food was not cooked to my liking at all. It was a disappointment considering the previous two visits had met my expectations.
Another letdown on our last visit was the lack of sufficient staff. It seemed like they were short-staffed that day, as it took an incredibly long time to place our order. My husband, who was hungry and impatient, even had to get up and search for a server. It was a bit frustrating and impacted our overall dining experience.
Additionally, I have reservations when the server does not write down our order. On the other days, servers had taken the effort to jot down our requests, but this particular server did not. I couldn't help but wonder if he would have remembered to make my bacon well done if he had written it down.
Despite these issues, we managed to get through the meal. It definitely wasn't their best work, but I would still recommend this place based on our positive experiences in the past. The food has generally been amazing, and hopefully, our last visit was just a one-off occurrence.
Waited 30 minutes to get a seat, but totally worth it 👍
The entire restaurant is white and spatial, it's definitely chilling and relaxing, very popular among young generations.
First thing first, strongly recommend you to order "steak and egg sandwich" 🥪, both the steak and egg was tender and juicy, and totally go along with the chewy sour bread.
Will also recommend their commoners burger, patty is one of the best I've ever had.
While their sweets is something that I won't recommend, as it's pure sweet without flavor.
I really enjoyed the whole experience. The service was great. The food was great. The food seems to be your typical dishes but with a twist and that twist makes this place stand out. I didn't have enough room for a pastry, but I intend to try something next time.
If you've never had a doscant (doughnut/croissant), make sure you go when they 1st open because they sell out fast! The prickly pear mimosa is my favorite, but they have some fun options. The chorizo croissant Sammie or chicken salad croissant are my go-to's, but my friend swears by the duck confit. The potatoes are disappointing & squishy. It's loud & echoey in the building, so sit outside if you want actual conversation. The service is hit or miss depending on who you have.
Prep & Pastry is a great find and a real treat. The food was creative and delicious. The coffee was top notch as well, my only regret was not having the time to get a pastry as well. The facility is very large, airy and feels new. The staff is very friendly and attentive. All smiles and good cheer. I would love to eat here again.
I am not a typical breakfast potato person, but I forgot to swap them out while placing my order. I am sooo glad I goofed bc these potatoes were absolutely delicious. My son & I loved them so much, we left our resort to dine here a 2nd time during our vacation. The staff are super friendly, and the atmosphere is quaint. Can't wait to go back!
Great and quick service!!! About an hour overall from seated to paying. The lemon honey lavender dousant was delicious! Definitely a different flavor from a doughnut or croissant but good nonetheless. The desert daisy cocktail I got was delicious! The biscuits and gravy were so so so good and the fried egg on top really made it great. Would recommend going here for breakfast / brunch if you’re looking for a great, not terribly expensive meal.
Great people. Great food. A little on the pricey side but quality speaks volumes! And they nail it from fresh jam to some of the best bacon I have ever had! The decor is lively with plenty of light! Support your local businesses!!
Came here for brunch on a Saturday around lunch time, they’re were so busy. We didn’t have to wait long, maybe 20 minutes. I loved how they use yelp, made it easier to track. Service was good considering how busy they were. I got the chefs French toast, which was the strawberry lemon pie. It was pretty good, not too sweet but I couldn’t taste much of the lemon which was honestly fine with me. My friend got the grilled cheese and soup and it was delicious. I also got a side of the potatoes. MUST GET THE POTATOES!!! They’re crispy and flavorful and yummy. I also got a chai latte, so good. My friend got the mocktail live free or die hard, he thought it was too sour but I liked it. I wish we got a chance to try one of their pastries but we were stuffed. We’ll definitely be back but probably at a less busy time.
We were seated within 15 minutes after arrival. Very nice and friendly hostesses. There is lots of outdoor seating and the indoor seating is pretty spread out. The Bloody Mary and the Thai drinks were very good but it did not have much alcohol in them:( Everyone was happy with their selections. The chicken and French toast was great however I think I will order the chicken sandwich next time because I didn’t get a lot of chicken. It’s a nice place to go with a twist on some classics which we really enjoyed.
